Neccessery on custom recovery to get the update?

So I have the motorcycle G(1st Gen). I rooted it and a bootloader unlocked. However, I'm on stock ROM. But I have roots there via CWM recovery. Now, I heard that to get the update on your device, I must be on the recovery of stocks. Is this true? If it is, how to get the recovery of the stock because Moto G does not a recovery but a fastboot mode!

Motorcycle G did, a rebuilding of inventories... And to restore to stock firmware, follow this guide: [link removed] to receive and install the update of Lollipop, you must be not only with the rebuilding of inventories but stock firmware, no roots or whatever it is.
