Unless you use the 64-bit browser, you will not need 64-bit plugins.  Just because Windows is 64-bit does not mean that everything has been installed it is.

Uninstall all Plugins Internet (RealPlayer, QuickTime, Adobe Flash Player, Adobe Shockwave Player, Adobe Air, Microsoft Silverlight, K-lite codec pack, etc.) of your computer.

    Turn it back on.

Reset Internet Explorer default.  If used, reset the default values for Firefox.
[Note: If you don't have any other browsers installed at that time, taste.]  Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Opera are decent.

    Turn it back on.

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find. Reboot when necessary. (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner. Delete everything is found.

    Turn it back on.

Install Adobe Flash Player (in Internet Explorer and Firefox separately) and Microsoft Silverlight.  Remember to UNCHECK all the boxes to install other software with them.

    Turn it back on.

Try whatever you were doing before.  Come back and let everyone know how things went.

  • Keep being told you need to install Adobe Flash Player, by Facebook, install every day, I am running Windows 7, 64-bit, how can I avoid this?

Running Windows 7, 64-bit, using IE 9, Facebook games keep telling me every morning I do it to install Adobe Flash Player, and all goes well, that day, then the next day, get the same message, is there a permanent fix for this somewhere?

It could be related to ActiveX filtering, too. Adobe Flash seems to work on IE only with ActiveX filtering disabled (I also have these messages, they never appear on Chrome or other browsers who do not share this security feature).

  • Download Adobe Flash Player on a Vista with a 64-bit browser

I went to a website to download information.  However, I was told that I need to have Flash Player 8.  I tried to download Flash Player 8, but I get a message that Adobe requires a 32-bit browser, and mine is a 64-bit browser.  Is there a way to circumvent this requirement or to switch to a 32-bit browser when I need access to this particular Web site?

    Hi getbak

Unfortunately, Adobe has released not yet a 64-bit version of their Flash Player. Any Web site that contains Adobe Flash content unusable with a 64-bit browser.

The 64-bit version of Vista includes a 32-bit version of the Internet Explorer browser. You might be able to use to access this Web site.

See the following Web site for more information on how to access the 32-bit browser.

  • WIN8.1 no good 64 only bits of Flash Player for it?

Flash Player www.adobe.com search for win IE 8.1 64 bit OS.  Good selection, installation reported "not compatible with the operating system" or installable?  To activate "installed" how not to insure, it's 32-bit it is to manage Add on? How to install a Flash Player for 64-bit Win8.1 and determine if the installed Fox one is right version but 64-bit x 86 machine please?

Flash Player is a component integrated Microsoft Internet Explorer on Windows 8 and higher.  There is nothing you need to download Adobe.  Updates are sent directly through Windows Update.

If you use Internet Explorer, but are unable to view Flash content, which might help you:

First of all, check that the ActiveX filtering is configured to allow Flash content:

    https://forums.Adobe.com/thread/867968

Internet Explorer 11 introduced a number of changes both in the way the browser is identified with remote web servers, and how it treats JavaScript for behavior targets specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the provider of content changes their site to conform to the new approach to development required by the modern versions of IE.

You can try to work around these problems by using the compatibility view:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Internet-Explorer/use-compatibility-view#IE=ie-11

If it's too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a better alternative.

I need Adobe Flash Player 9.0.125 in order to read a perticular website. I downloaded and installed the latest version of Flash Player. The program said I installed successfully, but I away find it on my computer and the site always told I need. What did I do wrong?

    Hey Papi Williams,

Welcome to the Microsoft Community Forum.

From the description of the problem, it seems that you are unable to download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player on your computer. I understand the inconvenience.

    1. What version of Adobe flash player you have downloaded?
    2. What Web browser are you using to view the website?
    3. Which site did you download Adobe Flash Player?

Let us try the following steps and check if it helps to solve the problem.

You can read this article and check if the Flash Player is installed correctly on the computer.

Flash Player help / find the version

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Flash-Player/KB/find-version-Flash-Player.html

The latest version of Adobe Flash Player is Adobe Flash Player 11.5.502.135 and you can download it from Adobe's official website: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/. If you have a lower version of adobe flash player installed on your computer, try the following steps to uninstall and reinstall the latest version.

Method 1: first of all, use this utility to uninstall the existing flash player http://kb2.Adobe.com/CPS/141/tn_14157.html

Method 2: Reinstall Adobe Flash Player
Once you have uninstalled properly, and then try to install it from the following link. The latest version of Adobe Flash Player is Adobe Flash Player 11.5.502.135 and you can download it from Adobe's official website: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

After reading your announcements here: Adobe Flash Player Distribution. Adobe and here Adobe Flash Player Distribution. Adobe we are not really sure what is the future mode of obtaining and deploying updates and have a few questions:

1.) adobe does offer a SCUP catalog download after the change of the download page (22.01.2016?)

(2.) the SCUP catalog contains links to the MSI installer like so far?

3.) create an Adobe ID for the above steps to work

4.) must request a license to distribute Flash Player in the way described above?

5.) is a factor of cost with getting an Adobe ID or a license or is it free?

Due to the changes in the short term in your Service, I woul be grateful for a quick response so that we can inform our customers.

    Best regards

    Rolf

    Hi rolfhasselbusch,

Adobe will continue to offer the SCUP for Flash Player catalog, after the changes noted in the current page of the distribution.  You will need to download the files when editing an AdobeID.  Answers to your questions:

1.) adobe does offer a SCUP catalog download after the change of the download page (22.01.2016?)

    YES

(2.) the SCUP catalog contains links to the MSI installer like so far?

They will continue to include links to the MSI installation programs

3.) create an Adobe ID for the above steps to work

    YES

4.) must request a license to distribute Flash Player in the way described above?

YES, distribution requires and always demanded, a license to distribute.  If you do not currently have a license, please apply for a license.

5.) is a factor of cost with getting an Adobe ID or a license or is it free?

It depends because some situations have a cost factor.  If you have any questions, you can contact a representative of Adobe Mobile & devices.  This is noticed in the Adobe Flash Player Distribution | Adobe page.

  • Flash player 64 bit

I have Win7 Ultimate 64 bit and it says the installation of Flash player installation includes 32 and 64 bit, OK. Now when I installed in the Control Panel window (for management of Flash player updated) now says "Flash Player (32-bit)", so the question is why it installed 32-bit (if it really installed this version) and how do I install 64-bit?

Or should I ask how to know exactly is 64-bit installed? If it is installed then why in the sign says its 32-bit?

There is only a 32-bit Control Panel.  Flash Player 64-bit files will be Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash.

  • Can a T61 with a Santa Rosa Vist 64 bit platform, or do you need a Penryn platform?

Can a T61 with a platform Santa Rosa running Vista 64-bit, or do you need a Penryn platform?

I learned that the Santa Rosa platform can't handle Vista 64-bit.

    Thank you!

    Hi Luke,.

Any Core 2 Duo processor is capable of processing 64-bit, which includes Merom CPU (T7xxx) and the newest Penryn processors (T8xxx & T9xxx).

The platform that you are talking about is the motherboard chipset (or cycle in terms of manufacturing). "Santa Rosa" is simply a name given to a particular generation of motherboard chipset. In this case, Santa Rosa is the fourth in a generation (or cycles) chipsets that were introduced by Intel in mid-2007. This platform supports the Merom and Penryn processors and CPUs support 64 - bit addressing OS indeed.

    I hope this helps!

  • I need to download the 32-bit version of the editor instead of the 64-bit version I downloaded earlier for the trial.

I need to download the 32-bit version of the editor instead of the 64-bit version I downloaded earlier for the trial.

The 32-bit version will not download because I have other 32-bit Office programs on my computer... ideas?

When you register for the download, it should offer the possibility of either 32 or 64-bit:

Choose the 32-bit or 64 -bit version of Office - Publisher - Office.com
