  I've owned a Satellite L750D for two years now, she has recently stopped working. So I gave it to my friend tech savvy of mine and he said that the hard drive was fired. So I bought a new one and it install it, the problem is when it starts it's the menu saying 'Please insert the startup disk '.

  I guess this is the disc that came with the laptop you need to install any programs. Problem is that I have no idea where I put it, so where can I get one from? Or how can I get around this problem?

  If this isn't the case, you have a problem. By the way: Satellite P300/P300D works perfectly with Win7 32 bit, then maybe you should install has Win7 version using the Microsoft installation disc.

  I pulled the SATA HDD and with an adapter, read/open the hard drive with windows XP.

  Cannot open programs because it is Vista, but can view and copy many files, some I saved my XP HDD.

  HP no longer has the startup disk. I know now that the Boot disk is on the HARD drive (in reading research reports),

  but have no way to make or find its location to create the recovery disk.

  Windows had installed an automatic update disabled my norton 360 and advocate changing the load settings for my Windows Administrator profile cuasing to run a profile of temporary market and I run the system restore, tried to pull the files from the profile administraor to a new user profile, that I put up as an administrator and im still could not get the ducuments the main profile im unable to connect.  Microsoft offers no recovery disc for vista 64 ultimate and advised me to purchase the full retail version to reload Vista, which is ludacris. I have windows 7 and 8 on other machines, but I'm not able to create a drive recovery vista ultimate 64 and ive lost my original CD copy that I have buaght years.  all they're going to do for me is to try to convince me to pay for their customer support which I didn't need. • Is there a problem with the maximum size of the RAM for Satellite 320CDT?

  I have a 320CDT Satellite with the latest BIOS (v8.00) and Windows 98 Second edition installed. There are 32MB memory base and a 32 MB module in the single expansion slot. If I change it to a plug-in 64 MB I see that 64 MB of total memory reported, not 96 as expected; the specification for the machine indicates that the admissible maximum memory is 160 MB (32 MB base + 128MB expansion). Does anyone know if there is a problem with the maximum memory size for this model and if there is a solution or workaround? I need to know quickly, in order to decide if I should return the memory module to the vendor! Thanks a lot for any help, Peter

  Satellite 320CDT supports an internal memory of 32 MB and a single slot can be used!
  You can improve it to max 96 MB (32 + 64 MB)
  I found a few old memory modules. You can use the modules SODIMM 144 pin EDO PA2043U 32 MB or 64 MB PA2044U

  on the official means, it is not possible to get a recovery disk in another language. Only, you can try to find someone who has a version in English of the M300.

  You can also create the system by yourself with a Microsoft Windows CD English. Programs and the necessary drivers can be downloaded from the Toshiba site.

  I said maybe, because I m not leaving of course if the recovery for Sat M70 disc is available because the recovery disk for older models of laptop could be interrupted.
