Need assistance to disable Intel Link Power Management

Hi all

I have a Dell place 7130v - 8G of RAM 11Pro / Intel Core i5-4300Y with Windows 10. When I got the system in 2014 I lived the constant freezing with the disc synchronizing 100% on every 10 seconds, 60 seconds, then finally was interrupting, and then start again.

I was able to use the app Board of Intel to disable Link Power Management and never had any problems again.

Recently, I had to do a reset of the system and the clean install of Windows 10, date at which a good amount of applications and drivers have been removed (including the Intel app). As a solution, I went into the management interface of power windows, clicked on PCI express and the disabled Link State Power Management. Also, I went into the Intel Graphics tool and turned off the update automatic Panel, but I'm stil having the constant disk clock.

What is the Intel software that handles l/min, and I can provide it manually?

I really don't think solve a BSOD with a system refresh give me two years and I was forced to deal with 60 seconds system freezes every minute :(

Thanks in advance for any ideas or suggestions!

Solved my problem - ran the update of the driver from Dell and have downloaded the management tool. Link disabled pwer management and my system is back in good health.

  • Backlight is disabled until the power management software is loaded on the Satellite M40 - 295

Greetings to all members of the forum.

I am owner of ten months a Satellite M40-295. My problem is the following:

When I start my computer the backlight is disabled until I go into Windows and the power management program is loaded.
After that the backlight of the screen lights up. I tried to change the brightness with Fn-F6/7 and screens using Fn + F5 without success.

Init information (init messages, such as the Toshiba and Windows logo) appears on the screen (I checked it under the intense light and the screen from another angle of view), so the adapter seems to work properly.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Evangelos

I'm afraid that now, you have a problem. If the unit won't start the BIOS chip is probably damaged. In my opinion BIOS update was bad idea.

Right now I don't want write something on the screen because now it is not important at all. Please contact the customer Service of your country partner and let check the device. Sorry, but I'm 99.9% that the unit is now completely screwed.

If the appliance shows any sign of life is the case for the service. :(

It seems you accidentally disable the Toshiba power management function - when I click the icon on the Toshiba Console there is no response.

You can also try to use the system restore utility to set the operating system to the point of time at the beginning!

You just need to install a driver, Intel Matrix Storage Manager.
As the name said it s an Intel driver and can be found on the Intel page or you can download it from the European driver Toshiba page too.
Check your area driver books and search for storage manager or package of robson.

I recommend also to search in this forum for similar discussions on Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver.

  • Sat L20-102: need software for power management

Hi, is there, a L20-102 Sat power management software provided by Toshiba? I can't find Power Saver for my model to download driver...
With the standard windows power management, I have to manually reduce brightness when you go to the battery and the occasional fan runs at max speed for a second and then slows down the acceptable level, runs for a few seconds and then turns off...
These "rpm max" chips are quite boring :(

I see Power Saver has plenty of features, and probably he ' d suite my needs, but it is unavailable :/

    Is there a good alternative?

    Hello

I know it sounds strange but your unit is pre-installed without intelligence tool. This is the reason why you can not find on the Toshiba download page. Please don t try to install this tool, designed for another unit, because you may have some trouble and many error messages. As far as I know all the tools must be adapted for each laptop model.

On some devices, this tool only works if other components are installed. I guess L20's budget unit and for this reason, it isn't stuff as on other units.

    Good bye

  • What is the link state Power Management under PCI Express power management Options list

What is link State Power Management under PCI Express power management Options list.

What is link State Power Management under PCI Express power management Options list.

    Hello

The PCI Express Link State Power Management option is part of the PCI-E specification and is working with the State active power management (ASPM) in Windows 7.

It is a complex subject, but can be simply described as follows.

There are 2 levels of power management in PCI Express options.

The difference between these 2 options are the energy savings compared to the latency (time to recover from sleep state).

If you select the first option, moderate energy savings, energy savings are lower, but the time to recover from sleep state (latency) is much shorter.

If you select Maximum energy savings, energy savings are more important, but the time to recover from sleep state (latency) is much longer.

    I hope this helps.

Thank you for using Windows 7

  • Platform management capabilities: PCI Express Active-Power State Power Management (ASPM) disabled

I'm bad autonomy on a new Sony Vaio with Windows 7 pre-installed, even when using the most energy efficient of available profile. powercfg-energy shows the error message above.

I would like to understand the source of the error. I think this is the main reason behind my mediocre battery life.

These Sony Vaio computers have BIOS very simple and there is nothing to adjust the ASPM.

Is that what I can do in the registry to try allowing the management of active State power function?  No matter what other diagnosis I can run to determine what hardware is responsible to ASPM disabled in this machine?

    Thanks for the tips.

In the power management PCI Express options there are 2 levels that you can choose.

The difference between them are energy savings and the time required to recover from sleep state (latency).

If you select moderate energy savings, energy savings are lower, but the time to recover from sleep state (latency) is much shorter. So he won't save as much power, but it will be faster when you try to restart your work.

If you select Maximum energy savings, energy savings are more important, but the time to recover from sleep state (latency) is much longer, so it will use less power but takes more time when you try to restart your work.

I found this information in one of the other forums, I hope that it helps someone.

  • Need of Windows Vista on Satellite M30X Toshiba power management tools

    Hi all

recently switched to Windows Vista with my Satellite M30X.
Unfortunately I can't manage my power options, because Windows doesn't let me do for the original use Toshiba machine tools to the place, but those with my laptop, I received are not compatible with Vista.
There are no files available in this category on the download from Toshiba site.

Do you have any ideas where to get these tools? Toshiba, or something different, but still compatible with Toshiba and Vista?
Or at least how do to enable advanced power management options in Windows?

Thank you very much for all the advice!
    Martin

    Hello

Toshiba Power saver for Vista is not out for Satellite M30X, and it seems that you use clean Vista power options.
But to be honest, clean Vista power options aren't bad and can be configured easily.

    Best regards

    Hello
I could not find the drivers for the toshiba A135-SP4088, we bought 3 of them to the office and it is almost impossible to use with vista, so we go to XP SP2 and manage to get almost all pilots of the other models, but I can't find 2 utilities that work with this machine, they are:
Toshiba power management (remember the bulb in the taskbar) :D

Hotkey Utility (so I can change the brightness of the screen and go to hibernation (Fn + F4)

I have al the rest works very well, but these two are a real problem, none of the ones I tested worked, some same crash XP and must return to a previous restore point.

also, I did not install ACPI drivers, are they necessary?, what are those that show I'm looking for? given that the model does not exist in the csd.toshiba.com site.

Now, how one of the largest manufacturers of laptops in the world can build a such nice computer without drivers for the most common operating system?, can someone explain me this because I sincerely do not understand.

    Thank you very much!.

  • I need assistance with deep links

    Hello!!!

I was wondering if any of you can help with this, I'm building my own site but now with flash and I want him to have something like its own URL for each section, but it will be built with AS3 so I need to know how to link the URL to the events, for example, if some writes this URL " " http://www.blablabla.com/contact I want flash to read this URL and run the function that takes the user to that part of my flash application.

    Thank you.

My advice: ignore totally the stuff of anchor.

the solution you need is readily available. It's called swfaddress

    Watch this video: http://www.gotoandlearn.com/play?id=107

Basically, your URL will trigger events in flash and you can react accordingly. the same each time you access a new section of flash animation url will update as well.

  • Message from Windows Code 43 for Intel(r) Active Management Technology - GROUND (COM5)

    Hello

I use a Compaq HP 6200 Pro SFF PC with Windows 7Pro, SP 1.

With this update of the weeks, I noticed that Windows tried to make the pilot also updates.

When I first checked the Device Manager, it was (and still is) a yellow question mark on Intel(r) Active Management Technology - GROUND (COM) in the category, the Ports (COM & LPT).

A few days earlier, I realized there is a problem and when I checked the Device Manager, it is the GROUND (COM 4). Which finally solved and disappeared some time after I disabled the driver under properties.

Yesterday, it was the GROUND (COM 6), which I disabled it after seeing the message that "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems... »

Who has disappeared and today is the GROUND (COM 5) with the same "Windows stopped of...» (Code 43). »

I would try to understand/learn what is happening here. Can someone give me a simple explanation? Do I need to worry?

The only points negative I noticed, was earlier in the week, I couldn't view some pages when surfing the web. I searched the site, microsoftstore.com and could not go beyond a few pages without falling on a white page with an error message.

Also, when I logged on WindowsLive in settings, my Windows phone not had not been "situated" for more than a few days.

Thank you very much for any information,

    mtnbeebalm
