need Ethernet controller device driver after installation of windows 7 (32-bit) on an a1640n
I did a new install of Windows 7 (32 bit) on my desktop HP Pavilion Media Center a1640n and need to find the device driver for the ethernet controller. Device Manager, it is generically known as "ethernet controller" - there is no precision manufacturer so I can't go to the site to find. Device Manager, it seems that the network connection works correctly (Intel 82562v 10/100). I guess that's probably an Intel processor, but which? Any instructions or advice find download ethernet controller device driver would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Jennifer
Hello:
It's a card ethernet (antique) to heritage for which there is no W7 drivers.
My advice would be to remove it and install a compatible ethernet card from windows 7 in its place.
Allows you to update and get a 10/100/1000 NIC
Sn54ls164j AN983 10/100 PCI card is not better than the integrated Intel NETWORK interface in your PC.
Or use the Intel ethernet port if it works.

What do I need to uninstall Windows 7 after installation of Windows 10?
What do I need to uninstall Windows 7 after installation of Windows 10?
You upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10? If so, how it remains on the disk?
If your question is about whether the operating system that is used to qualify for upgrade can be used even if it is still eligible for the upgrade, the answer is no it is essential will be blocked until the upgrade is removed during the reinstallation of the old operating system. Then it may take wake-up phone to retrieve the old operating system license. Also is it better to keep the old operating system using a Windows 7 System Image backup which can recover the old BONES in 20 minutes and preserves the activation.
Let us know if that answers your question.

Computer cell G6, don't wake up not the mode after installation of windows 8
OK here is the problem, computer works very well with Windows 7 (64 bit), but after the installation of Windows 8 (64-bit) system incounters errors. To put the system to sleep, closing the cover or on its own, during the process of awakening Windows 8 says it has incountered a mistake and must restart and it does on its own. He tries to wake up but freezes and restarts. There is no error code given just that windows has incounterd an error and must restart with a face to frown. I contacted microsoft support and after many hours on the phone, it seems that the bios does not support this feature with Windows 8. BIOS have been updated to the newest bios listed for the upgrade of Windows 8 on the HP website. All the driver have also been updated with those listed for Windows 8 upgrade to the HP Web site.
HP Pavilian G6-1b22ca
Windows 7 Edition Family Premium in Windows 8 pro
BIOS F.48
Does anyone know of a work around or a solution to this problem?
You are the very welcome.
I am pleased to read that you got your laptop in an average point round.
As long as it works well, then it's essential.
Enjoy!

1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4
(2) press the ENTER"" key.
(3) select your "country" in the list.
(4) choose the option "activate phone".
(5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

Installation of Windows 7 (64 bit) on a 500-089 Pavilion
Hello...
The computer is a HP Pavilion 500-089 with an AMD A10 CPU, Radeon graphics card, card mother MSI MS-7778, containing the chipset AMD A75 and 8 GB of RAM. The vehicle is currently Windows 8 is installed on the hard drive.
I would like to install Windows 7 (x 64) on the partition where Windows 8. I would do this while keeping my recovery and other partitions intact, just as it has been partitioned at the factory. In other words, I want to keep the GPT partition table, it came with.
I want to be sure about the BIOS settings, that I needed to change to it. My view is: 1) disable Secure Boot in the BIOS (the UEFI firmware) under Secure Boot Configuration, 2) Enable Legacy Support
Then I'll be able to start the installation of Windows 7 (64 bit) of the DVD, and will my GPT recognized and uncompromising of the installation?
I know running Windows 7 does not have any support from HP. That's why I need to keep the GPT and all partitions intact original.
For what it's worth, I would also suggest HP seriously consider adding Windows 7 to their list of operating systems supported on other computers 'Windows 8 '. W7 is a proven operating system.
Hello
Yes, if you meet the two steps that you mentioned before installing Windows 7, it should work fine. But owning a www.hp.com and download the necessary drivers before installing Windows 7. So that you don't have to run around to download drivers once you install Windows 7. If you have problems during the installation, you can read back the same message.

HP 15-r103ne: error 0xc0000221 installation of Windows 7 64 bit on HP 15-r103ne
I got an error 0xc0000221 installation of Windows 7 64 bit on HP 15-r103ne. I changed the HARD because its gone bad original disc and cannot be formatted. I tried to install windows 7 64 bit several times but I always had an error after the first reboot, and never fill the installion. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Thanks for posting back. The other drives must have some sort of issue if they all failed to install. If you have to install on the last of them, then is not the operating system recovery or the laptop.
With some drives, there could be questions that are not connected to bad sectors. It may be something with reading / writing system.
Thanks again for the post and have a great day.
