Need Firefox & Bing and when I open Firefox I ref A and string; then when I get to Bing, no bookmarks toolbar, etc. or way to access messages.

I did my browser Bing and it was working fine until today. When I open Firefox I get a message: Ref, then a long string of characters. I click on the Home icon and string changes. After doing this several times, I get the Bing search page. I don't get the startup of Firefox bookmark with the toolbar that has my book, history etc.. I can't clear the cache, if I can't the history tab. If I'm going to the mozilla firefox program folder and open it, there are a tool bar but can't erase recent history, etc. it. I don't have an administrator and a password on my home desktop. It's just me. I tried to follow your suggestions, but they do not apply to my situation. I don't really know if it is a firefox problem or bing. I've used google before bing and had no problems; I just wanted to try bing.

Use a type of compressed as PNG or JPG image to save the screenshot.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

  • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe or make changes.

  • Firefox crashes when double clicking on a particular bookmark toolbar button.

Every now and then I accidentally double click on one of my bookmarks toolbar buttons. It would hang Firefox (v 37.0.2) and required a force entirely to escape (OS X 10.10.3).) This happens quite often it became boring.

I eliminated this crash when I discovered I had a bookmark for "all bookmarks" entry in the bookmark button, I was clicking. It would seem that this probably caused an infinite loop? I removed the "all bookmarks" entry and Firefox no longer crashes.

It's kind of a nit-picking bug, but I thought I would realize it just in case someone else is as frustrated as I was.

I love Firefox, so "Keep up the good work" to the Firefox team.

The problem is that when you had a copy of "All bookmarks" in a folder "All bookmarks" you can create a loop forever in some of the editing operations, crash Firefox bookmark.

Because it crashes when you do this, the obvious solution is to not do this.

So, my intention was to point out that such an operation can cause a problem but I was not looking for a solution, because I simply won't. Given that I was not really a question, I think that it maybe wasn't the right place to make such a report.

In any case, now that I know what was causing my plant, I now turn to this problem is resolved.

However, the College supports only Firefox. I need a version that will run on my computer. Where can I download the right version? Mozilla offers downloads of different versions? If not, why?

  • The Bookmarks button is now completely missing, and it's forcing me to go through the bookmarks toolbar. The use of FF 17 under Windows 7.

I just put VII Windows on this computer and therefore had to install 17 FF (I think I was still fifteen years before).

On this new version, there is no single 'Bookmark' button click to access my favorites and I have to go through the "Bookmarks" thing to the right which gives me no access to most of my links.

The old method was very good, why do fuck with her! How can I get the single button back so I can open the list of bookmarks together?

I thought it just a minute ago. It must be because I was running Vista before and 7 now. Bookmark system came back to an older style with a different interface.

Please, close this issue. Thanks to those who took the time to answer!

  • How to lock my bookmarks toolbar in Firefox 13.0.1 so that it is not removed when I run Norton Utilities?

When I run Norton Utilities my bookmarks toolbar is deleted. When I replace that left Favorites icon is not there, which is a nuisance that I run with the bookmarks bar in place on the left side of the screen. So having replaced the personal bar, I then to customize by dragging the bookmarks icon and then click on this icon to retrieve my bookmarks sidebar.

You really do not have this icon of bookmarks, {Ctrl + B} opens and closes the bookmarks bar.

  • I managed to install and started to build my site, to discover my library of widgets, States and scrolling effects selections don't respond to clicking on them or open somehow. I need to reinstall and start over?

I managed to install and started to build my site, to discover my library of widgets, States and scrolling effects selections don't respond to clicking on them or open somehow. I need to reinstall and start over?

Are you referring to the widgets etc that you have added to pages or the actual interface of Muse?

If it's things on the page then you most likely have an empty element above them. Do a select on your page and make sure that there are no elements that overlap your clickable items. Also make sure your clickable items are highest in your layers panel.

  • HD's crashed, reinstalled the OS, how Firefox keep my Bookmarks Toolbar?

This isn't really a problem, but I wonder how it happened, if someone can explain it.

I had a hard drive crash, so I replaced and installed openSUSE Linux. From restarting after the installation, I opened Firefox and my Bookmarks Toolbar has been the same, with additions, that I had done for personal sites (some Linux help sites and job search sites, I added) before the crash of HD.

I don't use synchronization, which is not part of the equation, unless there is an aspect of synchronization, which is enabled by default.

By curiosity and a sense of wonder about safety, my question is this: is it bookmarks bar of information stored somewhere in the depths of a server to Mozilla/Firefox (or elsewhere) and how did my new installation pick up my Bookmarks Toolbar personally updated the to be used in the new facility?

That would be the question for openSUSE support, if you use the version of Firefox that comes with openSUSE.

The version of Firefox that comes directly from Mozilla [that you have installed yourself] is not active by default Sync. The version of openSUSE may have their own function for this, but I doubt that real if it is enabled automatically without your knowledge, or if synchronization is automatically turned on or the other.

You can try Firefox in Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. I think that it is an extension.

    • Run firefox.exe - safe-mode in the search bar in the Start Menu. (Make sure Firefox is closed)

Have you added new extensions recently around the time this started happening? The details of your system displays the following:

  • I loaded a bunch of Add-ons and extensions in Firefox. Since then, when I close and re-open Firefox, change my bookmarks toolbar menu.

I loaded a bunch of Add-ons and extensions in Firefox. Since then, when I close and re-open Firefox, change my bookmarks toolbar menu. They are all still there, but their location on the menu bar change tool. Example, I keep the most used where they are visible on the front of the tool bar, but to re - open, they are everywhere, but visible and probably near the bottom of the toolbar drop-down list is looooong.

Uninstall Firefox ask you to close Google Chrome? It's strange. I guess that you have closed all the browser windows when this happens.

I should ask: why do you need to uninstall and reinstall Firefox? Usually, this does not resolve problems with Firefox. Maybe read this article: Firefox Refresh - reset the settings and Add-ons.

When you use Firefox, a site jumped upward and said it is Firefox search virus. He said then I got dangerous viruses and need to download a security program. It's for real? The site has been update32.escmce.ce.ms I googled this site and it does not exist. Now, I'm worried about security on my computer.

Sounds very similar to what I had come last week. I did not now what the site was, but I noticed that the box seems to be analysis what were the Windows system files, it could not have been real. I do not download anything either, and I think that if you have not then you are probably safe. I am far from being an expert in the field and am sure that someone with more expertise will also. I learned that the best thing to do is vacuum history of cache, cookies and remove and close the browser. Don't try not even close the box that I have read. I don't know if I did or not. I think that there is some nasty things circulating right now try to deceive us in their installation on our Macs. I agree that it's a very scary experience. I was shaking when it first happened to me.
