  I admit, I'm a newbie on iSCSI. I'm trying to get a machine to esx 3.5 SU3 to see our HP MSA1510i "SIN." I have some documents that I need to create a vmkernel for iSCSI to work. I did it twice. The first time I used an additional ip address in the same range as my server address and it blew me out of the water. It is on the same network as my service console card. Fortunately, did here is no where close to being 'production' machine of dev. Then, once I had this kernel allowed to get out, I install one new one on another Beach, 192.168.1.3, using the gateway of the service console. It does not work.

  Any help as to what I'm doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.

  ISCSI works really well, but there are a few things that you should stick to.

  ISCSI needs its own subnet and service of the console if you want to do it properly.

  Create a new vswitch and assign to one of your free NETWORK cards. To ensure that

  network adapter is connected to your dedicated ISCSI subnet.

  Create a vmkernel and a service console in this vswitch.

  Their IP addresses must be in that subnet.

  You will also need to connect the ISCSI ports on your San for this subnet.

  The Tecra 8000 supports only USB 1.1 standard.
  Are high speed USB 2.0 ports
  Many USB devices are designed only for USB 2.0 and I guess that your USB WLan adapter also supports the 2.0 standard.

  The PCMCIA should work better. There is no standard limitations as on the USB ports.

  I am running in a difficult situation. During the installation of windows 8 UEFI with Legacy Boot Support off the POWER, then the WINDOWS SETUP doesn't detect any HARD or SSD drive. Then I had to install windows 8 UEFI Legacy BOOT SUPPORT market. When all install them, I turn OFF LEGACY SUPPORT, my computer running INACCESSABLE_BOOT_DEVICE error.

  Experts please help.

  With Legacy BOOT SUPPORT works, my computer so slow startup and there are too many startup steps taken in place.

  I'm so happy. Everything seems to be in trouble, so I have to use the legacy on support. I installed the windows 8 install any update, and then upgrade to windows 8.1. The first initialization of the windows 8.1 installation, I go into the BIOS, then choose restore default.

  Like a charm, everything's fine. Now he worked on Legacy support OFF and Secure Boot on.

  BTW, I'm sharing my EXPERIENCE on installing windows 8 with UEFI.

  1. create UEFI USB BOOTABLE WITH RUFUS

  2. IF can detect the drive HARD or SSD IN WINDOWS SETUP is FINE

  3. TURN ON LEGACY SUPPORT

  5. CLEAN THE OS INSTALLED HDD

  6 - CONVERT TO GPT

  7-ACTIVE

  8 - RESTART

  IF ENCOUNTER 03200024 ERROR 0 x

  SOLUTION - REMOVE ALL HARD DRIVE - JUST LEAVE THE OS INSTALLED HARD DRIVE

  AFTER FINISH INSTALLATION - REINSERT THE OTHER HARD DRIVE.

  TO OBTAIN AGAIN A MISTAKE.

  SOLUTION - CLEAN HDD VIA USB BOTABLE WITH MBR SCHEME FOR UEFI

  CONVERT HDD OS INSTALLED TPG, ACTIVE

  THEN AGAIN CREATE USB BOOTABLE WITH TPG TO UEFI SYSTEM

  EVERYTHING'S OK. BUT LEGACY SUPPORT MUST BE ON.

  INSTALL ALL OF THE UPDATE, INSTEAD OF UPGRADING TO WINDOWS 8.1

  IN THE FIRST REBOOT, GO TO BIOS THEN RESTORE THE DEFAULT SETTINGS.

  EVERYTHING'S FINE.

  8. Disconnect the computer and sign in as a new user.

     Note You must import your e-mail messages and addresses to the new user profile before you delete the old profile

• Need help installing a Raid0 in Win7Pro disk management.

  I had a raid but only one drive died and I'm trying to get a new will raid0.  I have an SSD for the boot drive and two new Sata Seagate 3TO disks for the raid.  They are installed and the Intell Rapid Storage Technology Software sees them and I used that to create a new switched-on and both drives are chosen as members.

  Now I go to disk management in Windows, but I forgot what to do now. Initialize disks, make them dynamic with GPT partitions and choose them as striped readers?  Just not sure of the procedure.  I have a motherboard Asus P9X79 WS with UEF Bios.

  Personally, after seeing the problems, I use raid, except that using a third party hardware raid card and for redundancy, I more than two disks, at least one more of a resumption of the fall-over

  A decent raid card costs about $500

  RAID 0 is a striped raid configuration
