NEED HELP! OneKey Recovery with XP PROFESSIONAL

I managed to do a upgrade by using a Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3 CD and everything works fine.

Now, I need help with a key recovery and how it will behave during a recovery of a backup I created AFTER the XP PRO upgrade:

AFTER THAT I updated to XP PROFESSIONAL, I made a full BACKUP of the OKR and saved to the "Partition/drive D:" (default location). Now, I need to know what will happen if I point OKR to this specific backup. It covers this image and boot with XP Professional?

I know not if I get the option to go to the new factory, I'll get Windows XP Home Edition. However, assuming that I did a backup on the disk D: AFTER my release to update to XP PROFESSIONAL, by selecting this backup during the restore process will put me back to the State in which the computer was when I created this backup (with the OS is XP PRO)?

I guess I still have a little confusion on this issue: is full this backup, I created a REAL IMAGE on the D: drive? ... Alternatively, it does contain THAT data user while OKR enters the OS Home Edition of the partition hidden during the restoration of this image?

If my backup on D: is a TRUE PICTURE, then I should be able to choose this one to restore and after the restore is completed, my computer should start XP Professional just the way it looked when I made the backup... Right?

p.s. I made the mistake of using RegSeeker, and as others have pointed out, my QuickLaunch disappears each time that I reboot and my desktop icons back to a default location after a reboot and no one has been able to solve this problem. Thus, my need to go back to the way things were BEFORE I created this mess.

Thanks for the reply and information. I just ran the recovery and everything came back perfectly with XP Professional. It is nice to have a gentle method of collection for all the times when I install something that I later regret.

    I'm not a total newbie, but it's been some time that I used the recovery console.

    Help?  Thanks in advance and greetings to all

    Morey

    Try to be more specific with the error messages you see, so it does not guess or try things.

    Here is an example of a popular error message that sounds like yours (maybe):

    STOP: c000021a {fatal system error}
    The Windows logon process ended unexpectedly with the status of 0xc0000034 (0 x 0000000 0000000 x 0).
    The system has been shut down.

    What exactly tell your message?

    There should be copies of XP system files backup all critical already on your hard drive in the windows\system32\dllcache folder (it is this case), you may not need any expansion.

    I would like to see the exact error message, make a CD bootable Recovery Console, run chkdsk/r even if he doesn't find anything to do and then see the replacement of missing persons or suspicious files, either by copying it in the backup copies of replacement of the recovery, or from another CD Console, you can do if the Recovery Console gives you a hard time (first do the CD Recovery Console).

    First of all, you need to start on something...

    You can do a restore bootable XP CD as follows:

    If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

    This is not the same as recovery disks that may have come to a store to purchase the system.

    You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

    The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

    Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

    Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

    It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

    You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

    When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

    Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

    Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

    Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

    You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

    You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

    C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

    The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

    For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the command prompt.

    Start by checking the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

    In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

    Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

    Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

    CHKDSK C: /r

    Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.  It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

    You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

    Do, or do not. There is no test.

    Group of sge.equipment_id, sge.seal_group_id, sge.effective_date
    After having sge.effective_date = max (sge.effective_date)

    ******************************************************/

    Which produces the following results:
    SEAL_GROUP_ID - EQUIPMENT_ID - EFFECTIVE_DATE

    MAX will not work because the SEAL_GROUP_ID could depart. I would say analytical:

    select seal_group_id,
    equipment_id,
    effective_date
    from (
    select sge.seal_group_id,
    sge.equipment_id,
    sge.effective_date,
    RANK() over (partition by equipment_id order by effective_date desc) r
    from seal_group_equipment sge,
    seal_group sg
    where equipment_id = 48801
    AND SGE.SEAL_GROUP_ID = SG.SEAL_GROUP_ID

    where r = 1;

    Keep in mind if two records have the same effective_date, they would both appear.

  • I have a new backup disk (a disk of 5 TB of Seagate) and need help setting up with CCC!

    Hello world

    I have a new backup disk (a disk of 5 TB of Seagate) and could use help setting up with CCC.

    I did in the past without problem, but I want to assure you of a few things:

      1. This particular drive has software available in a folder on the disk backup (w / the PC and Mac versions). But... I intend to use this disk as an exact copy of my iMac HD; It must also be bootable.
      2. Should I format the drive with disk utility? Or load the software to the CCC on the disk and just leave their only backup software?
      3. One last question: I also have a MacBook Air, an iPad and an iPhone. I want to save them as well. Should I put them on separate partitions, I created? Or can we just one big happy family? The last is best.

    One last piece of information: two computers, etc, were all backed up via Time Machine. My data the most important, photos, etc., are also saved on deposit box and/or iCloud on a regular basis.

    Thanks for any suggestions or comments!

    Sally D.

    Delete and partition the drive by making a separate partition for each computer. The iPad and the iPhone is useless their own partition because they back up using iTunes and would appear in the clone of the computer that you use for each save. Each partition must be the size of the current cloned drive that can leave you with additional partitions for other stuff. Then format the drive Mac OS Extended journaled. Do not install any software that came with the drive, none of this is necessary.

    I use a very similar setup with a 3 TB drive. I clone my boot SSD in a single partition, my drive internal 1 Tb in a second, my Macbook to a third party, and I have a fourth partition which is currently empty, because I haven't decided what to do with it yet. I also have a 3 to Apple Time Capsule.

  • Need help - Cisco ASA with the power of fire

    Hello

    Currently, we use asa 5510 without function of firepower. Our goal is to publish web servers and microsoft lync with reverse proxy method. control internet traffic, apply extensions individual file not to download, management of bandwidth etc.

    Is it possible if we add firepower on asa 5510... Please guide me... Thank you

    Power of fire must be installed on the new series X of the SAA.  5512 x, x 5515, 5525 x, etc.

    If you have a 5510, you probably want a 5512 x with an SSD.  Cisco has beams of firepower include the ASAx with SSD and the license of firepower.

    Adds that you must also Firesight management software, and there is a license bundle of 2 camera for under $ 500 that you can install on VMWare.

    Firepower is not reverse proxy, it's transparent online packages, analysis and filtering by URL / Application / and threat mitigation.

    If you want a reverse proxy, you should look into Microsoft ISA server or a Proxy Server reverse dedicated Web.  Cisco gave its product Web Director, who has done this function.

    You can host Web sites behind a firewall of ASA without proxy reverse.  And the ASA has an inspection of the request for HTTP traffic, responsible for watching HTTP requests.  The firepower to the ASA system also has specific signatures that monitor traffic to the web servers and prevent specific vulnerabilities that are known on those servers, so if that is what you want the Reverse Proxy for, then the power of fire module would probably cover your needs.

    Don't forget that until the next quarter firepower system has no decryption on the box, and you might want to wait that the feature is released and put in place, so that you know what size firewall you need protect your network with the SSL decryption.  I believe that the ASA5512x is testing at 75 Mbps stream decrypted via the fire power module, which is about half of what was before CX, then you could use the sizing numbers CX and extrapolate until Cisco releases official decryption numbers.

  • Windows XP-need help Urgent recovery

    I'm new to Toshiba. I HAV a hard drive 60 GB partition and windows XP home installed. I want to partition the hard drive now. Now after formatting the hard drive that I lose Windows XP it completely or there at - it of the chance to recover and reinstall it. Need urgent help.

    Hello

    You can reinstall your laptop using the recovery CD. It is easier and more rapid way to reinstall the operating system, all drivers and tools. Put the recovery in DVD-ROM CD, start the laptop and press the C button. At first, there is the choice between two types of installation (Standard mode and expert mode).

    If you choose first a whole HARD drive will be formatted and used for installing the OS. With the second (expert mode), it is possible to install the OS on the first partition. It is also possible to define what the partition size should be.

    Try it. It's very simple to do.

    Good luck

  • Need help for installing Windows XP Professional on an old computer that has Windows XP Home Edition.

    Original title: formatting of XP.

    I have an old computer with windows XP home, I bought a new CD with Windows XP Professional, which are my first steps, the second stages, ETC. in the restructuring of this computer. I would like a clean install like this machine is pretty old.

    Go to the linked site:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/978307

    Locate and read the instructions to make a clean Windows XP install.  If this looks OK, try to follow the instructions. If you need more details, a Bing or Google search on 'Clean install Windows XP' without the quotes. Locate a location appropriate to the returned list and try it. If you have any questions or problems, do after return and ask. But if you think I'm going to sit here and type the instructions when they are already available on several Web sites, you are in an advanced state of delirium. . So, try and let us know.

  • I need help doing things with batch files

    This applies to All THE VERSIONS OF WINDOWS and probably relates more to MSDOS than any other.

    cmd.exe or notepad.exe and comand.com applications

    I'm doing some kind of Setup.

    I have a tool nice lottle I did that works with a batch file. and he has 3-4 text file sthat go with it. I wanted to make a batch file which would act as an installer. make the MainMenu.txt, ReadMe.txt, Credits.txt, DISCLAIMER.txt fill them with the correct values, then make the .bat file that acts as the user interface. and when this launch the batch file under its weight made it has created (and not as a child of cmd window) then delete itself so all that remained was the new files...

    I tried the command IF [NOT] EXIST filename command because it's the only IF the syntax I have any slight understanding of

    EXAMPLE OF

    mkdir EXAMPLE

    EXAMPLE of CD

    IF [NOT] EXIST MainMenu.txt GOTO CMAIN

    : CMAIN

    ECHO the text I want to be in the lead > MainMenu.txt

    pause

    EXAMPLE OF

    but when I run the command 'Betainstall.bat' file, it opens and then closes immediately. What would be nice if it was the CASE of WAT I TOLD it to. it doesent need to be opened, because it only creates a directory then makes em fills with files on and its done... but it doesent do anything. and since it closes too quickly it's a bit hard to read all the messages that appears. (im not fast enough for print scrn) and addition of the pause at the end did not a thing. and / k has ever helped me before

    I just need to find how to get cmd to delete the last entry of Y.

    If I could get the Y equal to NULL it should write the %M % and not okay right?

    For the first part of what I mentioned above, you can simply do:

    SET M =

    The M variable will then to null.

    However, for what is in quotes: No. get M set to null will do what you want.  Use the command I mentioned in my previous post.  Note the signs double% to get the result of %M % in the command of the user file.

    IF the echo % M %! == 1 ! Goto: whatever > USER - X 2. 0.Bat

    Then the USER - X 2. 0.Bat will contain the line:

    IF M %! == 1 ! Goto: whatever

    Now, from your original:

    SET /p M = type OK or CANCEL, and then press ENTER:
    IF %M % IS INSTALL OK GOTO
    IF %M % IS CANCEL LEAVE
    : INSTALL

    You can see that if the M variable contains not exactly the capitals OK or CANCEL capitalized (that you specified), then the second half of each IF statement will not be executed. Your sample of what is getting written to the file USER - X 2. 0.Bat, you typed tiny ok and it works again the part of the installation of your batch file because he simply fell thru to the: part of the INSTALLATION.

    What you want is a batch program that allows to anticipate all possible ways that the user could answer "correctly". When you check if the variable M is equal to OK, it checks that specifically. All other cases the letters will not be the exact match.  That's why I ran three different lines looking for okay, okay, then OK.

    The fall same thru happen here:

    SET /p M = press on, then ENTER:
    IF %M % == y GOTO RUN
    : RUN

    Because the only thing you're looking for is there it will be Goto: EXECUTION of the IF statement , if (and only if) M is exactly there, but if it is equal to anything else it will fall through to the next line which is your: block RUN. As you have, any response is typical for the "SET/p M = press on, then ENTER", it's going to fall through and get to the: RUN block. The only exception is that if the user presses the enter only key, it will then generate the error message that I mentioned and end the batch file. That's why I used the! at the end of the two %M % and on the end of what we test, such as OK! This test if the user pressed the key entry in itself without the batch file, which gives an error.

    So, instead of this:

    IF the ECHO %M % == 1 GOTO RUN > USER - X 2. 0.bat
    IF the ECHO %M % == 2 GOTO README > USER - X 2. 0.bat
    IF the ECHO %M % == 3 CREDITS GOTO > USER - X 2. 0.bat
    IF the ECHO %M % == 4 GOTO WARNING > USER - X 2. 0.bat
    IF the ECHO %M % == 5 GOTO EOF > USER - X 2. 0.bat

    Use this:

    IF THE ECHO % M %! == 1 ! GOTO RUN > USER - X 2. 0.bat
    IF THE ECHO % M %! == 2 ! GOTO README > USER - X 2. 0.bat
    IF THE ECHO % M %! == 3 ! GOTO CREDITS > USER - X 2. 0.bat
    IF THE ECHO % M %! == 4 ! Disclaimer GOTO > USER - X 2. 0.bat
    IF THE ECHO % M %! == 5 ! GOTO EOF > USER - X 2. 0.bat

    Or use which does the same thing, but look more pretty:

    IF the echo % M %! == 1 ! Goto: run > user - X 2. 0.Bat
    IF the echo % M %! == 2 ! Goto: ReadMe > user - X 2. 0.Bat
    IF the echo % M %! == 3 ! Goto: credits > user - X 2. 0.Bat
    IF the echo % M %! == 4 ! Goto: warning > user - X 2. 0.Bat
    IF the echo % M %! == 5 ! Goto: EOF > user - X 2. 0.Bat

    (Upper and lower case for the block names all answer the same, whereas they are not nit-picky as the tests within the statement itself. I put the: before the labels of block in the IF statement so I know it's a label. I left the uppercase EOF because it is an acronym for end of file. And I use IF instead of If since it's a small order and I like it to stand. This bit is just my personal preference.)

    Another thing, you can make is for your first redirection in User - X 2. 0.Bat is to use the single > crush entire previous existence of this file. Then for forwarding the following him, continue the > who is the operator 'Add file '.

    Better yet would be first to check if the file of the user - X 2. Bat is and give the user the possibility to replace, rename, or to have an abortion.

    Clear as mud now? :)

    Edit: I just looked and I see that you are already doing the single > for the first time. Pass over my hikes on this part. Laughing out loud

  • New on routers... Need help pls connect with Primus d-link

    Hi all, I'm new here. I am a complete newbie to routers. I just got a Linksys WRT54GL. I managed to plug it in and it works but lost my phone service Primus IE D-link (KVD-1120).  I had going from modem to the Linksys router this router for the d-link has however led to d-link and phone does not work.

    I called Primus and after waiting on my phone cell phone $20 and 1 hour and 20 minutes later, they were no help other then to tell me that the modem must be connected directly to the D-Link and that somehow, I had to find a way to connect the Linksys router for the D-Link (only 1 WAN and 1 Ethernet port on the back (a).

    Someone along the way also told me that I had to reconfigure certain ports or open some more. I don't know how or what is the same.

    If someone is able to help, I would appreciate it so. Please guide me through it, I don't know how to find the ip address is if I need to do. (read that somewhere)

    Thanks in advance for your help and your patience

    If your Modem is already connected to the D-Link router and your phone is also connected to the D-Link router, because your D-Link router has only 1 WAN and 1 LAN Port, then you can connect the ethernet cable between the LAN Port of the D-Link router to the Internet Port on the Linksys router and configure all the settings on your Linksys router.

    Open an Internet Explorer browser on your computer (desktop) wired page. In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press ENTER... Let the empty user name & password use admin lowercase...

    For wireless settings, follow these steps: -.
    Click on the Wireless tab
    -Here, select manual configuration... Wireless network mode must be mixed...
    -Provide a unique name in the name box of the wireless network (SSID) in order to differentiate your network from your network of neighbors...

    -Set the Standard - 20 MHz Radio band and change the Standard channel to 11-2, 462 GHz... Wireless SSID broadcast should be enabled and then click on save settings...
    Please take note of the name of the wireless network (SSID) because it's the network identifier...

    For wireless security: -.
    Click the sub-tab under wireless > Wireless Security...

    Change the mode of WPA wireless security, encryption, select TKIP. Password input your desired WPA key. For example, MySecretKey, this will serve as your network key whenever you connect to your wireless network. Do NOT give this key to anyone and do not forget the key.

    NOTE: The password must be more than 8 characters...

    Once you are done with the settings on your Linksys router, unplug the power to the router Linksys, D-Link router and your modem... Wait 30 seconds and turn on the power to the Modem first, wait until all lights are the lid, then connect the power supply to the router D-Link and after 30 sec connect the power supply to the Linksys router.

    Now, check if you are able to go online from the Linksys router.

    original title: online

    I bought a laptop mini JC Penny, which is supported by micrsoft 5.0, everyone don't know how I can get online?

    Hi LEEHill H,

    What is the manufacturer, brand and full model number and of the notelbook (I want to look it up online to see if there are instructions available)?  If you do not have this information, what is the reference number of JC Penny?  It come with an ISP account or you plan to use your?  How do you intend to connect to the internet (wireless via a router, cable, wireless by satellite link,...)?  If you want to install it anywhere (which means a satellite connection), your current ISP is perhaps not able to manage and you may need a separate account for this.

    The laptop come with instructions - or links to the online instructions?

    If XP is used for network access, then the installer should be easy once we understand how your ISP account is set up and how to access the functions of network configuration (if this is not the full product, but only parts of it).  Answers to the questions above should help us determine how to proceed (I hope).

    But if you look at the base or FIPSA solution accelerator, these are all business processes that can be built easily internal either using BPMN or BPEL.

    I have provided details taking point of FIPSA for EBS you mentioned that oracle provide for that.

    Leave that all behind, go build your own set of BPEL/BPMN process to expedite the process of AP/expense in your organization.

    Even the adapter for JDE development is very simple as it seems.

    If you decide to go forward in the internal system I can help you in all aspects or ODC/RPO/IPM/UCM/BPMN/BPEL/JDE/EBS/TFTP.

  • Need help to hittest with nested clip.

    I am a high school student, make a flash game for a project at school. The project is due tomorrow so I need quick help.

    I'm trying to implement a function for a placement test. I am using action script 2.0

    I am coding all in one layer not in video clips to not give me a code this format unless nececary.

    OK, here's the details.

    I have a clip with the instance name src_resolute and I have another clip that is nested within another clip named endbar.

    What I'm trying to do, it's when src_resolute strike endbar I want to make the next scene gotoandplay.

    The name of the instance of nested clips parent movie clip's background.

    If you need more information let me know, but basically what I want to do is when my character (src_resolute) main fact contact with the nested clip (a clip I've drawn inside another video clip) I want it jumps to the next scene or more precisely the scene 4.

    Thanks for any help!

    If these are instance names, use:

    {if (src_resolute. HitTest (Background.endbar))}

    No matter what

    }

  • Need help choosing system with PP CS4

    I am looking to upgrade my system... and like most, I have limits on what I have available. My current system simply takes long and cannot handle HD playback. It would be great if someone could help me to choose, tell me if you work or just give up and deal with what I got up to a total redesign is possible.

    My software is PP cs4 and the projects that I will be working on will include capturing SD and HD, but mostly HD. I'll edit and export to tape SD DV and DVD a few projects will require export in HD. Why I will not go in, I'm going to need to go with a DELL system and can only scrape up to about $1,500.

    With that... So here's what I'm looking at:

    PROCESSORSIntel® Core™ i7 - 920 processor (8 MB L3 Cache, 2.66 GHz)

    Operating systemGenuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64 bit, English

    MEMORY9 GB DDR3 SDRAM memory to 1 066 MHz - 6 DIMMs

    HARD DRIVE750 GB SATA 7200 RPM hard drive
    or opt for the 1 TB RAID 0 performance (2-500GB SATA)

    I also have a couple externa 1 GB hard drives

    VIDEO CARDATI Radeon HD 5450 1 GB DDR3

    or go for ATi Radeon HD 5770 1 GB GDDR5

    or ATI Radeon HD 5870 1GB GDDR5
    or nVidia GeForce GTS 240 1024Mo

    Well that's what I look at you and it comes in the budget... it will get the job done or loss of time and $? or am I missing something?

    I appreciate any input... I can usually make things look, but have little knowledge of the gear.

    Thank you

    John

    John, you can get drives of 1 to less than $100 from Newegg. Dell robs you blind on these things. That of why I specifically mentioned Newegg or similar. It will save a lot of money to take somewhere else and install it yourself.
