  I have configured my windows 8 "admin" or "user account" password for over a year now and I don't remember what it is. I tried to download a new antivirus on the computer software but it takes the administrators password to make changes to this laptop.

  How can I know what is this password and how do I solve the problem in order to be able to install new software?

  Unfortunately, we are not allowed to provide assistance of password cracking. However, by default Windows administrator account is hidden subject to a new account with administrative privileges has been created. Start the computer in Safe Mode. If an additional admin account has been created, you will be presented with the option to choose the default Administrator account. You can choose to log in to this account and if no password has been set for this account, you can use it to remove passwords for other accounts. Otherwise, you will need to use Google to find an answer.

  Which version of reader you use?

  I would ask you for help. I have a Toshiba Tecra M5 laptop and 4 years when I install it for the first time, I wonder "supervisor password". I entered my private password and everything was fine. Now, I want to change my internal HARD drive. After upgrading the HARD drive I wonder the supervisor password in a black screen directly after pressing the power button. The problem is that the suppervisor password was entered in windows mode using some Czech special characters "?" (the password is containing these characters). The portable wonder for the supervisor password using a 'back' as intrface - black screen and the blinking cursor and I'm not able to enter these characters Czechs. Can you help me how to do?   I messed up my computer by installing windows 8.1 and everything went.  No keyboard more, Acer ring etc.  I want to just this 'thing' to the way it was.  It didn't go back or restoration available and do not send a set of discs, although I have a portable hard drive that might work, if there is such a thing as available backup discs.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Do I have to send this thing to the manufacturer, is it a seller out there that makes this service, etc.

  When you say ' it didn't go back or restoration available "do you mean there is no recovery partition ("eRecovery")? If you restart your machine & press logo Acer ALT F10 & - this should take you in the eRecovery mode where you can restore your computer like new.

  If your keyboard has stopped working, see if you can borrow someone's USB keyboard and try from there.

  If all else fails, then Yes, you will need to send it for repair. Chat with Acer for your area by going to the Web site, click on "support" and then "contact Acer".

  You must do more than that.
   
  If I bought a used computer, no matter who previously owned the
  first thing I could do with it would be to reinstall the operating
  system itself. You don't know how the computer has been maintained,
  which has been improperly installed, what's missing, what virus and
  There may be spyware, etc. I would not live with someone
  other errors and problems, possibility of kiddy p0rn, etc. and I
  would not recommend anyone else to do.
   
  If you reinstall Windows properly, you are playing with fire.
