• Need help to install the all-in-one Lexmark X 2600 printer

  I was dual booting Vista and XP, 32 bit and my printer worked fine.  I got a new computer for Christmas, Windows 7 64-bit, then my printer could not communicate with my computer.  I deleted my computer Lexmark and even had to enter in the registry: "Run" - "Regedit."  Under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" delete everything that said Lexmark.  After the reboot, I was able to install Lexmark X 2600 software for Windows 7 64-bit.   You can fine the software here: http://www.siliconguide.com/drivers/device/182/.

  Now my problem is that the Lexmark Productivity Studio does not work.  The 64-bit had only a skeleton program for working with documents.  Will try to get by, but at least I can print now.

  Unplug the printer from the laptop.  In Vista or Win 7, click Orb (Start), settings, Control Panel, printers. When the Lexmark printer is found, right-click on it and then click on remove.
   
  Equip your drive and install the drivers and programs on the disk, then when told the printer.  You should have a printer now works.

  the files that are in the zip file are really drivers, but you must install them manually which means you have to go into the Device Manager, look for the LAN device which should probably have an exclamation point and then right-click on it. After clicking on a wizard should appear which brings us to you trough the installation process. When the wizard application for pilots (if not found already automatically), and then point to the folder where the driver files.

  Then, everything should be good. :)

  The Swedish helpdesk for konicaMinolta's response was that there is no driver for the printer. And my question if there wil be any is marked, I have no answer. You know there wasn't for the similar printer with fax.

  If I put the printer in my garage and went and bought another one with similar functions, a brand new 8030Cn Canon color laser and charger for paper entry. After I spent more than 4 hours, excluded 2 hours for buying, trying to get the analysis function printers to work. Canons support told me that the scanner does not work with the printer connected to the network that I had to use the USB port. After many relocations, restarts etc. I called support again once, so I had to wait a while and then they told me that printers scanning does not work with win 7/64...

  So now, I bought another printer without a scanner, a Lexmark C540n that works. I have a separate scanner (a canon Lide 210!) that works.

  In addition to that, I spent many hours on a seagate NAS (Go Flex Home 2 TB) where the software has never found the hard drive...

  The last without any shadow on my ThinkPad, but whence the Christmas vacation go?  :-)
