Need help with installing Win7 on Satellite L70-A-12W

I bought Satellite L70-A-12W with preinstalled victory 8.1 two days ago... I have no recovery of win7, but I have Win7 64 Bit DVD new.
I would like to install win 7. I follow the instructions concerning the closing down, on Bios (I have version 1.3) safety boot is disabled and the boot mode is MSC mode.

I did a recovery on USB media if something with is wrong. Earn 8.1 I installed Paragon Partition Manager 14 (free version) and see the Partition Table. It UriPattern like this:
1 partition - system - 1-GB NTFS (Partition of Service);
2. partition (no name) - 100 MB - it's the gray color.
3 partition (local partition) - 128 MB;
4 partition C: (win 8.1) - Go 920 - NTFS drive.
5. partition - recovery - 10.1 GB - NTFS (Partition OEM Service).

I would like to keep evrything what is, if possible, and instead og Win8.1 install Win 7 ultimate 64-bit (which I have). And after than that, resize this partition of 100 GB and make a second partition private for my data - partition D: - for example.

I did things in the BIOS and win7 DVD and got error massage: Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is of the GPT Style partition...

I found a solution to clean the disc in the BACK, but I'm not sure that I have with this procedure will delete oll data disc. I'll guarantee loos e if I do this... If all other partitions will remain instead of C--> I can always make backup returns with media recovery with win 8.1 and hopes to keep the warranty.

Now, I don't know what I have to do...

I would just have win 7 on my laptop with minimal change to the partition table and all the partitions instead of C (where now is win 8.1).

Could you please help me...

Hello

The question is: why you want to keep the present partitions on the HARD disk.
Using two systems Win 8 and Win 7 on this laptop?

The fact is that if you want to use only Windows 7, it s not appropriate to keep the old partitions on the HARD disk.

Secondly, you already have the Toshiba Recovery flash memory stick.
This recovery media allows you to return to the factory settings.

This means that recover the laptop using this memory flash USB stick recovery would again create the same partitions and install the Win 8.1 System.

Finally and above all Windows 7 supports 4 primary partitions as primary partitions are applicable to the tables of partition MBR and partition table MBR allow four primary partitions.

After you create the primary partition 4th Windows system will accept only the volumes 'Dynamics' (logical drives). You must create an extended partition containing many logical partitions.

However, if you use a table of GPT partition that is supported by the 64-bit Windows versions, you can configure up to 128 partitions and you need t differ between "primary" and "extended" partitions

In addition, the GPT partition table also requires the UEFI BIOS.

  • Need help to install Win7 on Satellite CL10-b-103

    Good afternoon mate,

I come to you because I gave this mini laptop, Toshiba CL10-b-103, who doesn't have a DVD drive and only 32 GB HDD (which there are only 21 free for the issue of the hidden restore and partition)

My intention is to install a win7 sp1 to make it lighter and have more space on the HARD drive.

    And I'm going crazy,

The bios is quite simple, you can turn off only an option that says 'safe start' (which in some forum in English is advised to try to defuse what I do).

And change the boot priority (leaving only USB and HDD / SDD). Nothing comes of the CSM or something, who has also read by some forum also had to turn it off.

I'm first, I put usb firstly you have to shoot the laptop and there is no way to read a usb win7.

I do an install of win7 usb bootable with the support of the EFI (apparently these new EFI this notebook, according to lei, you must prepare them in a special way) as a result of this blog:

    http: //biglimesoftwa...dows-7-u-8.html

And no, do not read! There is no way that between usb!

I also did a USB bootable, following another forum, with an application called Rufus, but nothing not even read.

How the companions? I'm doing something wrong?

Is it possible that the laptop is, is totally gelding to format and install another OS?

See if you can help me, I'm desperate...

Thanks in advance and greetings from Spain,

    Update:

I used the WinSetupFromUSB and make it bootable USB with this utility, I managed to read the USB, but all of a sudden comes this screen:

Exactly the same problem (Toshiba CL10-b-103 too), but I went deeper in the research and found that the BIOS version of this laptop does not support UEFI/CMS. Updated my BIOS to the latest version (which is for the moment, the 5.00 08/07/15 - WIN) but still does not work. I was already angry with their fu * skate that brings me to kill the process "pad experience" every time you start.

I would like to install ubuntu, but nothing works, even with a USB cable or directly on the C drive (note that I ruined my USB while flashing it, but in any case it was my fault). Any advice, tips?

In the case where someone would say "boot option is in the Advanced tab' this isn't for me, regarding the kikeastur. Sorry for digging it up with this topic, but I do not see why I would create a new that I have exactly the same problem.

    Thanks in advance

    Hey Buddy

You have a machine with the ATI graphics card. Am I wrong?
If Yes, then the Chipset driver is ALREADY included in the ATI graphics driver that is available on the European driver Toshiba page!

The order of installation displays the instructions step by step for all THE portable Satellite A200 PSAE6E but the fact is that devices were equipped with different material parts and that's why some single drivers do not appear or are not available.

Once again; Utility/driver chipset is available/included in the ATI graphics driver

  • Need help with installing Windows XP on Satellite A60

I have toshiba satellite A60 and I need to know the steps for reformatting the hard drive and installing Windows XP. What do need me and how?

also... How can I save all the files and email on Microsoft outlook? I'm not well experienced with this.

    Hello

the XP installation is very simple. Just put the CD in and to start the installation, the installation wizard will guide you through the entire process. A little advice: when it comes to partition the disk, delete the old partition, create a new and format it in ntfs. Don t worry, the installation wizard will guide you very detailed hollow that deal so it's going to go very easily.

    Regarding your backup:

It's my way of backing up my files:
I have an external USB-drive HARD drive and I put all my files on it, so I can copy them back after that I have put in a new system. To save your outlook, you can visit this site:

    http://www.sitedeveloper.WS/tutorials/Outlook.htm

They describe very well how you back up outlook.

    Good luck

  • Need help with installing Windows XP on Satellite A200 PSAE6

    I have labtop Satellite A200 (PSAE6)

I wwant to install Win Xp, but it shows the BSOD error. Check this image. This error on my labtop:

    http://www6.0ZZ0.com/2008/02/11/11/343785725.gif

    Help!

Well, the BSOD is a serious problem, but I think that it could be solved easily.

You must update the BIOS to version XP!
At the moment European Toshiba page pilot provides a v.5.30 - WIN XP BIOS.

Then, you must include the storage for the XP installation manager because this SATA driver is required to recognize the HARD drive. Without the SATA driver (Intel Storage Manager) the XP will not see the HARD drive!

    Good luck

  • Need help with formatting my laptop Satellite M40

    Dear all,

I have a satellite M40 notebook and when I bought it was running perfectly. Then the sound has deteriorated significantly with the Harman / Kardon speakers without drastically.
Then, the speed of the applications has deteriorated in opening. Then I could not use my DVD RW drive to back up my data. In my opinion, happened after I tried to install a software that may be in conflict with the existing drivers.

Finally, I decided to format the laptop and start over. With my original purchase came three CD: DVD - ROM Recovery DVD-ROM, Express Media Player Recovery CD and additional software.

I tried the first two CDs, hoping that the laptop start automatically on their part, and then everything will be fine. Unfortunately, nothing has happened.

Help, please. How can I format this machine and resume my busy days at the office.

    See you soon

    Hello George

For the installation of an operating system, you need to RECOVERY DVD. Put in the DVD player, turn on the unit and press the C key on the keyboard. Keep it down for a short period and the procedure of the facilities will begin.

If you want to preinstall the unit I recommend you create two partitions using facilities expert mode. Check it please this subject http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=4462&messageID=14518#14518

There is step by step explanation. If you want to use the Express media player again once it must be installed first before using recovery DVDs. The procedure is the same (press the C key).

I have a laptop that originally had Windows 7 home premium 32 bit oem installed on it, I have subsequently upgraded to windows Ultimate edition through update at any time.

The laptop is retired and I want to install Windows 7 on my new PC but to install the 64-bit versions, but do not have them.

My question is, should I buy a new copy of windows 764 bit home premium.

No, as long as you have a disc of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, you can use the same product key that was used to activate the copy of 32-bit, you had installed.

It is also possible to apply my series of Win7 Ultimate upgrade to an another Windows Installer or it will be related to my original OS install and only the 32-bit version?

If the Express upgrade is planned for the Windows 7 Home Premium to Ultimate upgrade, this computer must also run Home Premium.

You will need to use the phone for both activation:

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

    (4) choose the option "activate phone".

    (5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    (6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.

I do not have 64-bit Windows 7 Home premium, just a 32-bit version OEM

For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.

It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.

Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:

How to: What are my options for Windows 7 reinstall media?

  • Need help with installing OS on Equium L10-300

    Hello

Basically, I'm doing something really simple. But thanks to me being unhappy enough to actually bought such diabolically bad computer, I know that am a forum trying to solve a simplistic jokishly problem.

When I try to format my computer, I'm not allowed, the Equim asks I insert a specific CD.

When I try to reinstall windows it also tells me that I need a certain CD.
I rang Toshiba last year when I needed initially for formatting, they told me that there s a lock and I have to pay money to get a new CD. I can t explain how horribly messed up it is. How a large company can get away with obstructing my human rights?

As a computer owner, I should get the right to use any OS I please.
Having a few fascists dictate what OS I use is completely ridiculous and go s against what my fundamental rights. It s absolutely sickening
I need to know how to bypass this stupid system locking. It s completely illegal.

Someone please tell me how I can solve this horrible problem.

    Hello Okidot

You wrote an interesting story, but I'm 100% sure you have misunderstood something. I use Toshiba notebook almost 10 years and I have enough experience to offer you precise explanations.

But before I wrote more please me only favour and tell me what satellite phone model you exactly. I just want to know if you have some portable older or newer.
