  I found some interesting info on this good old classic. Your Tecra can handle with max 256 MB of RAM. Tecra 8000 has two memory slots, and you can use two 128 MB modules.

  Module 128 MB compatible is with PA2062U part number.

  I just bought a new Satellite A200-130. It has Windows Vista but really slow. I'm waiting for centuries loading something. Even to open an Explorer window. So I decided to downgrade the laptop for Windows XP Home edition. The problem is that none of the Vista drivers that support society works in windows Windows XP Home edition.

  So if possible I would like to give me the exactly brands and models for each of the hardware of this laptop, or it would be very useful if someone could zip hole drivers and download it somewhere like rapidshare.

  You can download important drivers but not Toshiba has designed tools and utilities. They are not available at the moment. You must be patient and wait. I hope that all the WXP stuff will be available soon.

  Anyway, all of these tools are not so important and you can use your laptop without them too.

  I plan to upgrade my RAM and HARD drive.
  I am currently using a 120 GB SATA HDD and 2x512mb ddr2 667 Mhz (out of the box state).
  My questions are:

  [1] will a WD Scorpio blue work SATA II 500 GB HARD drive at 5400 RPM on my laptop? If this is not the case, what is the maximum GB for my laptop's HARD drive (if there are any)?
  [2] a 2x2gb ddr2 667 Mhz will work? If not, what is the maximum?

  BTW, the Specs are Intel Core2Duo 1.73 Ghz T5300's family Vista premium sp2 (preloaded) OS, BIOS Phoenix version 1.20, Chipset intel 945 (I think).

  It should work since the SATA controller is not limited to any size of HARD drive.

  The laptop supports Intel® 945 GM chipset. The upgrade of RAM depends on the chipset.
  AFAIK the 667 Mhz Rams should be clocked at 533 Mhz
  But you can upgrade it to 4 GB of RAM (2 x 2 GB)

  Select your laptop model and you will find there the drivers of Windows XP Home edition.

  I want to install window xp in my computer, but in the toshiba page is not for xp. can someone tell me dodne I can bring them down?

  In fact there is no driver for YOUR model number, but I think you can use a different model which has a similar hardware.

  Perhaps the best idea would be for study you a little, which machine has maybe the same hardware (can have more low cpu and low memory) but it should work since many machines have the same mother but different processors, memory and HARD disk size.

  Use google and maybe you'll find something... ;)

  P.S.: If you can't find so just wait awhile, I think they'll come out almost this year an abundance of the XP drivers for some vista machines. But I Don t know if your machine is in this 'list '.

  I found some of them (5) for Windows XP SP3 but (nearly 40) for devices of all the portable.

  Why is it so? Why is there no drivers for Windows XP for my laptop on the website official? Where should I get them, tell me, please? I don't like Windows Vista, and it's just my choise which operating system I'm. Don't you think that such a policy (to force users to change XP on Vista) restrict the rights of customers who'm Windows XP? Where can I find all the XP drivers for my model?

  Regarding Win XP drivers;
  I see that your laptop model is Toshiba USA.
  So if you need drivers (no matter that drivers), then you should check out the Toshiba page we:

  Unfortunately, it seems this page doesn't provide all of the necessary drivers, why? Who knows
  Anyway, the fact that not all drivers have been published on the page shouldn't t prevent you from installing XP.

  I recommend collection the drivers of your own hands.
  Many laptops are equipped with the same features and so pilots released for other series of laptops should run on your laptop too.

  Check the Toshiba European page too and check some drivers released for Satellite A200/A210 series.
  Maybe some drivers single would go too.
