Need of recovery for Qosmio F20 CD
I lost the CD of recovery for the Qosmio F20-153, I have problems, and I want to the system recovery.
What can I do?
You could buy a Microsoft Windows CD and reinstall windows.
Or have you tried Ubuntu - it's free and you should be able to get going on this machine?
Help, please. I need the recovery CD/DVD or install media for Windows XP edition family MCE Czech or English. I took back in Sweden.
With the normal installation of WXP MCE media not working my windows license.
Sorry for my English. I learn it.
You're right about the key product. This key is for the version preinstalled only and you cannot use it for the new installation of the OS.
I don't see the problem, it is that you use Microsoft CD/DVD installations. You just need to activate pre-installed version. All that s! If you have a legal copy, you can do it without any problem.
I lost my recovery disc for my laptop Qosmio F20-104 (I don't remember if he even came with any!).
How do I restore my laptop to zero?
I have the disk utilities and tools, but unfortunately, that's all...
to restore back to zero, you have the following options:
-buy the OS you have on your hard drive, install and then use the CD tools & utilities to install all the drivers and tools
-contact a local authorized service partner for a new recovery disk (http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/generic_content.jsp?service=EU&ID=ASP_SUPPORT)
In all cases, you will have to pay because nobody will pay your forgiveness... :)
SRY, but I had the same experience and I know how you´re feeling.
Just bought a toshiba f20 but need to restore disks can someone help to know where I can buy these things?
see you soon
If no recovery has been delivered with your machine, then you have the recovery on your HARD drive. But it s no problem to burn it on CD/DVD:
In your start bar go to Toshiba and Toshiba utility; There should be a program called "recovery disc creator" or similar. This program writes the your Windows Recovery Image to a blank CD/DVD.
Just click on start-> programs-> Toshiba (I guess)-> utilities Toshiba-> (and then you have to get, since I Don t he not know exactly, but it should be there)
In the case of certain questions come here and ask...
BIOS v1.30 for QOSMIO F30 is not compatible with Windows Vista. Do not upgrade this computer to Windows Vista, unless you first update THE system BIOS. Contact your computer manufacturer to see if an update is available.
Where can I download new BIOS for Qosmio F30-112?
Are there? This is the only problem until I can install Vista...
I created this link: http://220.127.116.11/support//Download/ln_byModel.asp
but it's only for Qosmio F20, F10, G10, G20 and G30. So I ask where is possibility for Qosmio F30? Y at - it no problems with it?
Can I use the one that is for the Qosmio F20?
Seems that it is not available at this time...
Hi, I had a Qosmio F20 (PQF20A) computer laptop running Windows Vista
None of the drivers and original utilities were installed, and none of the function buttons/keys work.
Some drivers, I was able to install through update (Device Manager) and Toshiba Support
I looked up support for public services and the only drivers/utils available are for * XP * ONLY
When I try to install the Modules or controls or any other Vista drivers/utilities it stops and says "TVALZ Driver Installation Failed" and then "driver blocked due to incompatibility, for more information, contact Toshiba... »
Can't find anything relevant on the Toshiba site. I looked towards the top of Toshiba in various regions for support...
There the drivers/Utils for Vista?
Unfortunately, the Toshiba Vista tools or utilities for Qosmio F20 don t it.
As far as I know the Qosmio F20 series and the G20 have been designed and equipped only with the XP operating system and so Vista drivers were not released.
You can try to search for some unique drivers on Internet sites s chip maker but features such as the control keys or the FN buttons will not work with Vista :(
I need the recovery for Satellite 5205-S703 CD
If you need a recovery disk, you have to options.
You can go to a local ASP and request a new or order you one directly from Toshiba.
Or you are using a Microsoft installation disc and download all the drivers from Toshiba tools but it takes a little more time.
Recently, I reloaded the OS on a Qosmio F20 (PQF20A-00D00C) customers. They have no recovery disks and I have no recovery disks (according to a KB article, I found later - is not that I remember all these menu items).
I'm looking for drivers for such a portable but the Toshiba site has only drivers for LAN, WLAN and bluetooth. I do not see for audio, vga, chipset, etc.
Any idea where I can find these drivers for XP MCE (Pro)?
See you soon.
I don't have time to check it all, but I think all the drivers for WXP MCE should be available on the download page of Toshiba under http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/
You can also try to find missing drivers on Toshiba European page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp (product type > Archive). I guess that there is not much difference between the Australians and Europeans Qosmio F20.
Try to find the drivers, that you can use with WXP MCE.
Things to do any know when Toshiba will start producing F20-153 Windows Vista drivers?
F30 drivers work?
I m afraid. Toshiba will not publish for F20 Vista drivers at this moment :(
You know the knowledge base of Toshiba? You can find it on the home page of the Toshiba support.
However, I studied a bit in this base and found this article:
Microsoft Windows Vista Driver Support for Toshiba laptops models
There are several series of laptops listed, but unfortunately not a Qosmio F20 :(
However, the G20 is also not listed in this list, but some G20 here in the forum users have managed to reinstall Vista and additional drivers.
I'm considering buying a QOSMIO F20-153 and I was wondering if anyone knew if the Sims 2 are played on this subject, because graphics cards cannot play. And also, as it has Microsoft Media center as the operating system, Access and Excel come from on this?
Well, the Qosmio is a very nice unit with a very high performance.
Laptops generally use different graphics drivers like the desktop PC.
The adapters that are installed in laptops are a little different than the graphics in desktop computers.
In this case specifications manufacturers recommend in graphic form drivers for laptop manufacturers Web sites.
These drivers are sometimes not up-to-date and sometimes newer games need new graphics drivers.
In my opinion, if someone needs a unit to play ONLY games at the best way to use the desktop. These units are also easier to upgrade equipment.
Toshiba laptops, Microsoft office is not preinstalled on computers. If you want to use it, you must purchase applications.
I lost my CD of restoration of my Qosmio F20 - 111
I tried to order on the internet but got the message that he was old.
Can someone find me on the internet or tell me am I get a new one?
I assume that you will need to contact the ASP in your country to get the Toshiba Recovery CD. The European Toshiba backup online store would provide the recovery CD only the most recent series of laptop.
To get an older recovery CD, you need a help of ASP.
My product for my laptop recovery disk is scratched and when I went to reformat the laptop I got an error about 75%
Now I thourght it was the HARD drive but after changing I thought it was the disk.
Is there anywhere I can get a product recovery disk or the driver for this laptop because when I search the laptop I can not find the recent stuff as the laptop is almost 4 years old.
Anyhelp would be happily received
Hmm I m not very good if you might be able to get this disc because the laptop computer s a little more old but if it is possible, then you should be able to order this disc of recovery of the ASP in your country. Just ask the guys for this disc, and perhaps they could command on the Toshiba.
With regard to the drivers;
The Qosmio F20-153 belongs to the series of PQF22E and all the drivers can be downloaded from the page of European driver of Toshiba.
Take a look at this site:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-> support download &-> download drivers
I need a DVD of recovery for Satellite C660-2FF. HARD drive crashed.

Hi fans of Toshiba
Please I need the recovery cd for my labtop. The model is Satellite U400-10N
In this thread, you will find exactly the same question:
As I already wrote in the other thread the laptop must be equipped with HARD drive recovery and you should be able to create a DVD of own recovery using the Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.
Please check your system and try to burn your own DVD of recovery first.
I try to install drivers but still two not found, I don't know what I chosse to download.
In Device Manager, no defined devices are 1 - 2 - "Video controller (VGA Compatible)" and "Multimedia video controller".
And also, the blue key on the keyboard does not (KEY FN)
Can someone help me install the devices and render the possibility to use the FN key
Please give me the hyberLink to download.
Details on my laptop:
Model PQF20E-01601KAR number
MS Windows xp Prof 2002 Service Pack 2.
I put t really understand why you have these big problems with the installation of the driver.
The installation instructions document was placed on the European driver Toshiba page!
This txt file describes how to install the drivers and the drivers are needed.
Simply download all the drivers and install this, in the right order.
That s all and in my opinion that s enough!
