  I have problems with the download of the microsoft/windows updates current.  My computer is set to automatically download, but there was a series of 10 "major updates" that I've been prompted to manually download.  However, I get a notice that my computer could not download 5 of these 'important' for vista security updates.  Important security downloads carry reference numbers: KB956744 KB971557 and KB971657, KB973507, KB973540.   Are the other three updates that will not download "update for Windows Vista for x 64-based systems (KB968389)" and "update for the filter of junk mail from Windows Mail for x 64 systems (KB905866).»

  Can someone help me understand how my computer download these updates?

  A good step to start with the recommendation provided by Jos Raymond. In addition to this, you can try to clean boot.

  We would like to get a better understanding of this issue, so we can better help not only you but other users with similar problems.

  What version of the operating system you are using (Windows Vista or XP)?

  Please let us know if you see errors or the Windows Update window error codes.

  Has nothing changed on your system just before that this problem has occurred - all new hardware devices installed?  New software or updates installed?

  If you can give us these answers we can help diagnose this problem.

  Meanwhile, I have a few basic steps that you can follow first, we can try to put the computer in a clean boot state and then try to install the updates:

  To do a clean boot, follow the steps below:

  1. Log the computer by using an account with administrator rights.

  2. click on Start, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration Utility.If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click continue.

  3. on the general tab, click Selective startup, and then clear the Load Startup items check box. (The box use the Boot file is not available.)

  4. on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft services check box, and then click disable all.

  Note Following this step lets services Microsoft continue to run. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. If you disable these services, you can permanently delete all restore points. Do not do this if you want to use to restore the system with the existing restore points.

  5. click OKand then click restart.

  Once the computer restarts, try to install the updates. If you are not able to install, please check for error messages or error codes.

  To restart the computer to a normal startup, follow these steps:

  1. Click on start to reduce this includes this image, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press ENTER. Reduce this includes this imaIf that you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click continue.

  2. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

  I need it because I upgraded my computer from Vista to Win7, but I ran into an annoying problem that hinders the production of my work in mspaint.  On Vista, I was with mspaint to make work and I very very very much required the use of the loupe tool, allowing me to zoom out less than 100%. the size of the image.  Other versions of mspaint do not have even the 2009 version which is almost a carbon copy...  I tried the 2009 version and the version on the Win7.  I don't like, I don't want that.  The work I do requires me to be zoomed far to see the picture in mspaint and the point of the commsions is to make them in mspaint unlike other software of art because its so hard to do what I'm doing in mspaint, so I must have the version of VIsta and no I won't go back to Vista and I do not have another computer.  So here's the thing - normally you cannot use the mspaint on Win7 Vista, but I know that I can use for this, so I'll have to mspaint.exe.mui for Vista.  Please help me.

  To get an idea of why the loupe tool is so important for me you are most welcome to look at these two works of art I did in Vista mspaint to see why not being able to zoom out less than 100% is annoying that these images are several thousand pixels high and wide.  So im not allowed to tie stuff in here sry but I hurry because I have little time to fix this and be on my way with my mspaint commissions as they pay my rent of the month >.<>

  I bought my A100 with XP Home almost a year ago.
  I bought Vista Business Edition and I installed it on the PC.
  I downloaded the vista from the support section drivers and install them.
  Everything worked fine except for the following:
  1 Toshiba power saver is not included in the vista drivers and the old version is not compatible with vista
  2 - Toshiba PC config also the same problem

  Can someone tell me how to get the new version of power saver and pc config for vista.

  TOSHIBA Power Saver for Vista tool is not available. All you can do is to install the package of value-added and other Toshiba designed tools listed on the download page.

  Many power settings are now part of the Vista operating system and Toshiba does not power the day before regarding the Windows XP Edition operating system family.

  But the way in which; I don't know if the game performance will improve after the installation of the new graphics driver I've read somewhere that Vista needs a lot more material performance and that's why some games don t m runs smoothly.

• 10 for Vista security updates do not settle. Have tried everything I can find on the web, here, difficulty-it... ad nauseam.

  Windows Update tried to install "10 updates important" for several days, and all have failed to install.  I have tried everything I can even, at one point, purchase ImproveSpeed that one of the web pages of Microsoft directed me, claiming that would fix it.  Nothing I've tried has solved the problem and I've tried everything but manually change the registry which I don't feel comfortable doing so.  I spent $ 40.00 for ImproveSpeed and that has not worked...   Rhea answer Desk technology, was correct: since "Mainstream support" for Vista SP2 ended on April 10, 2012, Microsoft offers is no longer support for security updates.  Similarly, MS has not offered this support to users of Windows XP to the last few years. [Yes, this is all very confusing!]

  What do you mean with this (x 86)? Have you installed the drivers from the Vista x 64 folder or both, or quite the installer?

  Toshiba U.S. and Toshiba Canada provides some Vista drivers for simple models and series, but it seems that the Tecra A4 is not listed.

  But the new Bluetooth stack can be used on whole books.
  Therefore, you may only download the BT stack.

  I tried to update my laptop with Windows Vista Ultimate Edition with the latest updates of security etc from Windows.  I can't update.  When I try to go to the site it blocks just the pop up with a page download page as mif I am no longer connected to the internet.

  When I try to download updates for the anti-virus software, I get the same problem.  I've followed all the advice available online to those problems, s.  Disabling the firewall and make sure wondowsupdate.com et al. are allowed through the firewall, but nothing helped.

  I finally understand exactly update has been the cause of my problems with my laptop could not complete the startup after installing an update.

  System: vista home premium w/serv pack 2
  Antivirus: Avira
  other notable programs: itunes, roxio creator media, Skype, messenger, yh, IE8, msn messenger

  I tried several times to install IE8 KB978207 update without success. The last time I tried it, he first gave me an error code of 8024200d, then I reinstalled it. I finally understood by installing the updates one at a time which caused my laptop to not be able to run the start afterreboot after you install updates. I end up having to run the diagnostic tool for starting and when it finishes, I check the error log and it tells me that the reason that she didn't was due to a patch, then using the advanced features to restore my system before installing KB978207.

  I just bought a new laptop Satellite A200-1 TB and I installed Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit (x 64) on it but, unfortunately, it did not the mass storage driver (the driver memory card reader).

  Can anyone know where I can download it? I tried on the Toshiba driver page and I couldn't find.
