  64-bit driver for HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477 PCL 6: I have one of these printers, which is able to print double-sided automatically.  The new driver (64-bit) will not accept when I switched to a new laptop, manual duplex printing.  Does anyone else have this problem?  I updated the driver, but the problem persists.

  I managed to find the solution... it is a lot harder than I imagined composed I don't remember clearly how I found it.  But I think it's what you do... Use the control panel to get to the devices and printers, right-click for properties of the printer, then select device settings, then select installed in the duplex unit.  Yes... complicated.  How the average dumb guy like me never to solve such a problem?

The printer works very well after starting my network it's just frustrating to have to wait this long. I have the printer plugged into my Intellinet router and the printer set to DHCP for IP setting. I asked HP about this problem and they can't help me because it is a software problem and not hardware related

  Edit: I have a program of snooper network called Netscan indicates the printer working group is "WORKGROUP" and my working group is "MSHOME". This would cause problems? I can't find a way to change the workgroup printers.

  I can't find a specific driver for 64-bit Windows 8. There is a 64-bit Vista/Windows 7 driver. Try this.

  You must use the driver Vista for the Color Laserjet 3500. If those who do not work, you will need a new printer.

  We have a HP Color Laserjet CP5225. The printer has USB connectivity. There is a network (RJ-45) port, but it is disabled.

  The HP Web site suggests Print Server HP Jetdierct ew2500 (HP CP 5225 is in the printer compatibility list). However ew2500 is not available.

  Please suggest a different print server for printer HP CP 5225.

  You should be able to use any wired usb print server.  The server does provide a connection to the usb port on the printer so if you can communicate with the server via ip, then you just to load the driver and connect the prnter as a local tcp/ip printer.

  I answered my own question or find a temporary solution until the official driver is published. After a few successes and failures with different drivers HP Color Laserjet, I downloaded the driver communication USB LaserJet of HP (DOT4) of Windows 8 and higher (64-bit) , located at the link below.  It is listed for the printer HP Color LaserJet 3700 , but it worked for the HP Color Laserjet 1600 as well.  Hope it helps someone.

  In other words, the printer is connected to your network with a rj45 cable I guess.  If yes you must go to the information on the printer menu and print a Setup page that will give you the address ipv4 of the printer.  It should be something like 192.168.1.12 now on you computer xp go to printers and faxes and add printer.  Local printer and do not check autodetect, then and on this screen, click on create a new port and the menu drop-down select standard tcp/ip, and then click Next. Type the address of the address of the printer (ipv4) that was on the configuration page and just keep on going until you get to the page of decision-makers.  On the left choose HP and will work on the Strip right down to Color Laserjet 8550 PCL or PS as long as one or the other, and then click Next and change the name to HP CP5225 or whatever you want to call the printer and you can check on this page to make it your default printer.  Complete and you should now be able to print to the printer.

  On the Win 7 computer...

  Devices and printers

  Add a printer

  Add a local printer

  Select create a new port:

  Select Local Port for the port Type:

  Enter the name of the network to the XP computer that is. \\XPcomputername\LJprinterid

  Install the LaserJet 1020 driver when prompted

  This did it for me.

  Please try to install the UPD PCL5 as follows:

  In the past, that the version of supported PCL5 PCL5 emulation as well, however it seems he's changed in the latest version.

  However, I think that it mght be used by manually configuring the driver as follows:

  1. Install the UPD PCL5 below:

  7. Select the active port of the printer (USB or TCP/IP Standard for network printer) P2035n
     If you are not sure, simply right click on the original printer icon, click Properties and check what port is selected as the current printer. the same port must be selected for the UPD as well.

  Now try to print with the UPD driver, I think it should work.
