need recovery disc for ACER Aspire 5741

Hello

I did not create recovery discs, and now I have to replace the hard drive. Where can I get the recovery disks for Acer Aspire 5741 (WIN 7 Home Premium OA 64-bit)?

Thank you

Hello

Maybe you can buy the recovery media factory to your Acer store. As an old OS, I think that it shouldn't be available.

  • recovery disc for's aspire it 2920

can someone point me in the right direction for an erecovery disc purchase for my aspire 2920 please that I bought one second hand and they have deleted the recovery in the mobile thank you very much...

    Hi jacks657

If the site says there is no available recovery disk, you might sound Acer for your region (numbers on the support page - contact us) to see if a 'human being' can help more!

Otherwise, you could buy a new version of Windows - ideally the same version that was installed, otherwise you can have driver problems - and install it. You would need, however go to the Acer support site, enter the details of your laptop, download the drivers & applications forms and then save them to the disk or external memory. Once Windows has finished installing, use it to install the proper drivers & applications.

How can I buy HP recovery discs?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello:

If you live in the USA/Canada, call HP at this number. This is a new number of disks in the order of so you can choose the menu that makes the most sense.

You will need to provide the model # and # of series to get the disks. It costs $10.

    1-800-334-5144

If please, after back and let me know what you need to do to navigate how to actually get to order the discs.

If you do not live in the USA/Canada, call HP support for the country that you live in the link below. If they have a separate number for Business PC / Notebooks, call this number.

  • Need recovery disc for a new disc of AF. Where can I buy these?

My original for HP hard drive model p6267c died and I had to buy a new one.  However, the recovery disks that I made when I bought the computer do not work.  I found a page on the HP Support pages that show this is a known issue with the Advanced Format of AF drives which is what is my new drive and my original recovery disks will not work which they do not.  Recovery does not have the operating system in scores on the right for it to start Windows.

The page that displays it is: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03509131

However, it says to contact HP Support.  My computer is no longer under warranty and he said I have to pay to call, send, or cat who is ridiculous.  If not, how can I get this new set of discs without being on the telephone or in a chat for a long silver cost period just know where to order these discs.

I need drives for Windows 7.  I tried to purchase the full version of Windows 7, but can't find it otherwise, I would have been this route.  I tried to use Norton Ghost to copy my information from the old drive to the new without success.  I also tried restoring a backup and discovery of Windows is damaged.  It's my only option other than to get a new computer.

I'm afraid that if I just ordered the new drives online, I couldn't correct records.  I have need of those shown on the link above and not those similar to what I created myself.  I appreciate a link to a page where I can order the new for readers of the AF.

    Thank you.

    Hello

I don't see any way to get these 'up-to-date' recovery discs of HP, other than calling them.  However, there is a free and legitimate way to create your own Windows 7 installation disc as shown below.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create an installation disk yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( must be the same version that originally came with your PC - IE Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.  These Images are clean and a very respected source (Digital River).

    Images of Windows 7.

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

    http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/how-to-activate-Windows-7-by-phone.aspx

All pilots additional and the software, you may need can be found here.

    Hello

There is unfortunately no server download where you can get the images. You will need to contact a partner of service approved for the recovery disks.

  • How can I get an acer recovery disc for a system that was sold to Singapore?

    Restore ACER Aspire 5680 disc

Hi, I have an ACER Aspire 5680 running Vista Home premium, I bought in Singapore in 2007. I currently live in the United Kingdom, but I was updating dome drivers when the system blocked.

I tried different ways to restart, but nothing helped. SO I bought an ACER restore disk and tried also without success. When I contacted ACER support told me I have to go to Singapore for the recovery disks, because the machines are different for the different continents! In the meantime, I have re-formatted the C: drive and am stuck.

I contacted ACER Singapore, who indicated that the computer will have to return to the ACER workshop for recovery.

It has been e_recovery aboard, but like many so I only took no notice of the password. But the recovery discs can be produced from a similar machine.

Is there someone (possibly in Singapore) who created a set of recovery disc for this model they are willing to sell

Please reply or send email to * address email is removed from the privacy *

    Thank you all

Your Windows Vista Home Premium will reach its end of life of Microsoft support in two months in any case then consider purchasing a copy retail of Windows 7 from a UK dealer instead.  That will relieve you of the connection of Singapore and make a necessary upgrade to Windows 7.  Only Vista Business will continue to get the updates and fixes security after April 14,

You will need to download the Windows 7 drivers for your Acer model before the upgrade.

  • Help! Maybe I need the recovery disc for pavilion d4790y... + I think I messed...

I had problems with my office for awhile now, think it might be a fan, virus, hard drive or ram as in my previous post... the computer would freeze/crash or not stop, requiring a firm hard. trying to reboot/restart computer, it would beep several times until I have let it sit for a few minutes, then everything was back to normal (found that might have been an error in the BIOS after all this happened)...

Now, I have NOT touched or replaced all the components on my computer at all. Nothing! Now I have a debate on the upgrade of OS and RAM, but did not decide whether it was worth on this older machine. So I have done no amendment or change in software. the only change I made to it was not renew norton and goes with vast (free).

The other day, it suddenly wouldn't boot Win Vista 32 in all. My monitor at startup (before config utility appears) had colored vertical lines across the screen. I immediately thought 'virus' or ' fan isn't card graphic blown is screwed/false driver downloaded... I enter safe mode with network, no problem with the monitor (no lines) and tried driver restore, but also to download nividia the updated. Nothing seemed to work except safe mode (s), system configuration, start the Setup program, CTRL I (don't remember which menu is), & screen of the system restore/repair/diagnose. I tried all the reboot thing pilots config, patterns of change (hard disk only), boot it. When you go to the splash screen (a back screen on startup), no line either... I tried the system restore, did not a thing... I tried the verification of diagnosis, all right... all equipment, the repair of the system did nothing...

So I take the side box power off to check the components inside to see if any wiring was loose, fans not working/salty, etc... everything OK there besides fan a little dirty. Clean, same thing. Here comes the fun part...

Now, I backed up all my files and 'backup' on my external hard drive... I thought that I had made the recovery discs or he had came with it when I bought it... I changed the configuration settings RAID0 by removing the old installation and turned to the raid no drives. Then, I created a RAID0 again... I guess you know where this is going...

He said now insert the boot cd... Now, it of not anything but let me in Control Panel and change the startup preferences...

I have no recovery disk or I can't find what happened if I have... with backup (for USB) external drives will not work... I kind of looking online hp without result and I saw some online, but that seems pretty shady, especially with the case of the OS...

I will not buy another office, if I can help it, but I need to know if there is something I can do?

    Thank you

    .

    Hello:

Yes, I've been able to do it once, but you also need an operating system installation disk. You need a USB FDD + OS installation disc and the correct drivers of course on the floppy drive.

You can use a recovery for this drive yet. It must be an OS installation disc.

Yes have ultimate could be a problem. If you enter your model number on this site of surgeons in the computer, you get a lot of options showing the recovery disks for different versions of the OS, but only had listed actually drives.

You need to call HP and ask or email these surgeons computer guys and see if they have the recovery disc for ultimate games.

I prefer for the most of backup data and prefer to do it in a way that makes it easy to find and
a restoration as well as many file. You can also burn an image of your installation from time to time to be
able to get restored programs and then use the backups to replace the data.

Other methods for the most extreme cases.

You can save your files by putting the drive in another computer as a 2nd disk (best) or external
Drive USB enclosure and then backup to removable media such as CD, DVD or other USB drives.
Of course a real store of the computer or the manufacturer of your system can help to recover the files.

Or you can use a boot Ubuntu CD to back up data.
