I thought previously, it had something to do with an external application - google chrome and got rid of this to use Opera instead. He made much less frequent mistakes but nevertheless still occurred.

  For this reason, it does not seem logical to use clone apps (although much would have made life easier) and I need to somehow this the long way round... or so I think, but please correct me if wrong.

  I have a Time Machine backup before I upgraded my OS, and before you try anything, I'll do another then its judgment the new OS.

  My questions are:

  1. after formatting my SSD, I should make a partition?

  2. is it acceptable for then simply drag a copy of the OS El Cap to the SSD and run hopefully leading to installation?

  3. What is the best way to migrate my data?

  Note that I'm not a tech savvy person, have never done anything like this before and its taken me weeks to reach these conclusions to date.

  I think you need to create a USB flash drive install and then boot from the flash drive and go launched the installation process.

  720 x 480 is not only a much lower resolution, it is a format of 4 x 3.  1920 x 1080 is not HD, but also a 16: 9 aspect ratio screen.  It is wider.  You'd end up to take full advantage of the larger screen, reposition the graphics in your computer in any case.

  Consider it a lesson learned by checking the parameters of your computer until you start working seriously.

  There is a script that comes with newer versions of AE which will scale to the top of your comps if you choose to use it.  I've never had to use, so I forgot his name.  But it will not automatically forward to take advantage of the wide screen aspect ratio.

  Okay, so you didn't get very far in the installation.

  Here's how to reset a forgotten password.

  Do you have a backup before the upgrade, such as a time Machine backup?   (Keychain is not containing the administrative password, unfortunately.)   You remove the login keychain, all stored passwords in Safari and in fact be lost.)   If you have, I would recover the set of connection from there.

  If you don't have a current backup, it's the first think you get.

  There could be a problem with the disk or of protection structure, or with the disc itself.    Creating a new keychain cannot be blocked, short error permissions or a drive problem.    Disk utility and check the drive and see if there is something to do.   (Unfortunately, some of these steps require an administrative password.)   You can try the repairs or a backup to disk by booting from the recovery partition - that won't require no administrative privileges - and attempt a repair or recovery from here, or save the entire drive disk external work.

  It is more a question that you should study from the other end (Samsung/Android) to this end (Windows).  Hardware and software support for any device always has (probably always will be) from the manufacturer of the product.  They did, they decide what software/drivers that they provide and how they provide.

  For most of the devices like this - just use it as a USB hard drive works well.  ;-)
