Need to activate windows 7

HI, recently my computer is slow. So I did a complete clean install of windows 7. Now, I get a message saying that I need to activate windows 7. But when I do, it goes on to say that I have to pay for a new key, but I already paid for it. So why should I? It has been used on this computer, I have the box and the key and cd to prove it is OEM. What can I thank you.

If your product key is not valid, you have another choice - Factory Restore, assuming that the factory restore partition is still there.  Tell us the make and model of your computer and we can then tell you how to access the factory restore.

Factory restore does not require a product key or the Windows installation disc.

Need to activate Windows Zero Configeration

    Yes.

And unlike many error messages from Windows, this one is actually pretty clear.  This means that if another program - probably the program supplied with the laptop or the adapter without wire - is running and managing the wireless card, then Windows cannot manage the adapter.

In general, there is an option somewhere in the other program to turn it off and let Windows manage the adapter.  Otherwise, you will need to uninstall the other program.  In addition to the MS KB article, seehttp://www.ezlan.net/wzc.html

If you specify the brand and model of your wireless adapter (and a laptop, if you are using a laptop computer), then perhaps someone can direct you to instructions for your show.

Some like to have the manufacturer utility manage the adapter wireless instead of Windows Wireless Auto Configuration, because the utility of the manufacturer often has characteristics that service windows doesn't have.

  • When I turn on my computer it tells me that I need to activate windows. I click on 'YES' it takes me to the activation page and says that Windows is already activated.

    Windows XP Activation loop.

When I turn on my computer it tells me that I need to activate windows. I click on 'YES' it takes me to the activation page and says that Windows is already activated. All I can do is, click 'OK' and he takes me into a log on screen with my name on it and goes through the same process, as described at the beginning of this statement. I'm in a loop. The only way out is to wipe my hard drive and reload windows new who, within 30 days, it will do no doubt once again. How to do this?
For 3 years I rebooted my computer. That's why I reloaded it in the first place. I sent this version of Windows XP by Microsoft and have recharged the system at least 4 times in the past 10 or 11 years.

    Hello

Once logged into windows, it tells me that I need to activate windows. I click Yes to activate and it tells me that windows is already activated, click OK and it returns me to my log in page over and over. Why? and what to do about it?

Because you are allowed to install and activate Windows on ONE computer and product activation has now determined that you try to use the installation on another computer.  If it is a retail version of Windows XP and if you move the installation to new hardware call Microsoft and explain the problem.  If it is an OEM version, like a Dell or HP installation and if you move it to another computer that you are to the top of the Creek with this, you are not allowed to move an installation OEM on another computer, it is linked to the computer on which it was sold with and he will die with this computer.

  • Whenever I try to change the settings for startup from the Control Panel, a pop up tells me that I need to activate Windows Defender and open

I installed Microsoft Security Essentials today and I'm trying to edit startup programs. Whenever I try to change the settings for startup from the Control Panel, a pop up tells me that I need to activate Windows Defender and open.  However, most of the security will not allow Windows Defender be turned on and I want to change the startup parameters.  How can I accomplish this?

    Hello

If you use Norton, AVG, Avira, Microsoft Security Essentials, McAfee, etc. the default action is for Windows Defender must be disabled, that these AntiVirus programs have their own Antispyware Applications.

    There is nothing to worry.

Using both programs at the same time can cause system conflicts, etc.

If you want to have additional protection against malware using the version FREE of Malwarebytes AntiMalware:

And now edit startup in Vista without using Defender programs, use one of the following methods:

Or the program Autoruns for FREE:

    Hello tiffanybarnes,

If someone says here allows you to use product key Finder programs, do not take into account their information as the product key these programs on your preinstalled operating system find will be the HP one used for several installations of the plant and will be of no use in these circumstances.

You will need to contact HP and ask for their help.

Or a way around this is to buy a DVD recovery HP to reinstall the operating system or use the built-in recovery Partition containing an image of your OS and reinstall Windows.

No method requires a product key from your part.

Your license key (-RMV82) is not the system of Compaq Dell computers you have.

In addition, the date of your BIOS (2005) indicates the computer was manufactured long before that Windows 7 is out, so it cannot have a license of Windows 7 OEM.

The system was changed to allow the illegal permits to run, the line "BIOS valid for OA 2.0: Yes, but no SLIC table" indicates missing the entry in the table to support the function of Ant-piracy.

You will need to buy a new copy of Windows.

Yes, you must purchase a full license for the second installation of Windows 7 product key.  1 activation allows only one Windows 7 product key.  Apparently, you now have a second facility that requires a second product key. Carey Frisch

  • replace the RAM, the need to activate Windows 7 OEM new will affect Media Center DRM?

    Title says it all.

In order to avoid BSOD that * could * be linked to the RAM, I replace two DIMMs with a different model.  When I swapped the locations for the original DIMMs, I received a message stating that the material had changed and I had to re-activate Windows.  That's happened.
I am now assuming that completely change the RAM will trigger the message "hardware changes took place.  I use this PC as an HTPC with a Ceton InfiniTV 4 tuner card, and I have a lot of copy - once programs and films recording.  I don't want to lose the ability to play them.
My guess is that the reactivation will not affect the DRM.  It does not seem to have done with the recent reactivation. It's not like it's a new motherboard or system disk, but I would be sure.
    Thank you.

    (1) change of RAM only is unlikely to trigger an activation request - although if other materials also has changes in the recent past, he can do.

    (2) activation and DRM are totally different things, and should not affect the other.

  • What is need to activate windows, false or true - perhaps virus?

Hi, I have a few projects with some disabled children and I fear losing all the many months of work we have done due to a curious problem, we lack of windows xp media center edition and just out of the blue a window come asking us to activate the software.this windows is genuine software that we use for a few years without any problems.it was originally activated then why are we randomly called to activate it now after all these years? is this a real request or maybe it's a virus? We are unable to access one of our important urgent issues because this message did not allow us to.we have tried to start in safe mode but is not allowing us to do no more, indesperation, we have removed the hard drive and tried to access the outside via another computer but even if the other computer recognizes a connected external usb device and we said that the drivers for the external device are suceessfully installed, we do not understand the external hard drive in 'my computer' cannot access our work.can someone please help as it is urgent these files because our completion date is July 12.
