  If the sticker OEM Windows on the laptop says Windows Home Premium, then it was probably 64-bit. You'll need to do a few things to bring your laptop into a useful state again.

  Well, after much research, I found a solution for one part of the problem.

  I managed to activate the TPM for Windows7 could find to do that I had to install the following package:

  "Embedded Security for HP ProtectTools.

  Without this package, even with well configured BIOS, Windows 7 could not configure the TPM for Bitlocker module.

  I see that the bios isn't appearing any more for download for this machine at least.

  I guess that means I have to use the HP software (whatever his name) look for driver updates etc and this would include updates to the bios...

  The problem is my pc is not connected to the internet (and cannot be), so I need to download the actual file.

  Is this possible?

  If not, can someone confirm for me that the HP software would update of the bios as well, and that is the most recent version, that I do not have information on any page... (I could start from a windows pe cd of bart)

  1. go to www.hp.com

  2. click Help and choose Download drivers.

  3. choose laptops.

  4 type Hp Stream 11 Pro and choose Energy Star

  5. it will take you to a page where in you can select the operationg System.

  6. you will be able to install the drivers for the device.

  The easiest way is to create a cd-rom boot back. There are several descriptions on the web. Google for it.
  Add the files extracted from the bios Toshiba biofc67t.com, ec29nobb.bin, chgbiosa.exe and chgfirma.exe on the CD-rom.

  At first boot from the cd and run 'ec29nobb.bin chgfirma '.
  Now, the ECKBC Firmware is written (no power for flash!)
  As the boot from cd and run 'chgbiosa biofc67t.com '.
  It will Flash the Bios.
  The two flash are needed!

  Here's how to extract the bios Toshiba.
  As a first step, you must extract the R211VOL2.exe file. Best way to do this is to use "universal extractor" - google for it.
  After that, you will get the R211VOL2 file. INAM this is a disk image file.
  You can extract the files in the archive using winimage (trial version should work).
