Hello

I don't know where you looked drivers but if you have a model of cell phone US please check http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_home.jsp

It's very good support page and I hope that here you can find everything you need. If the drivers of Windows XP Home Edition are still not listed, as European for A210 page, it means that support for Windows XP Home edition is not yet started.

On this forum, you will find a large number of discussions on the drivers of Windows XP Home on Satellite A210. Please check. Maybe you will find some useful information.

    Hello.

I need help. I bought a Satellite pro P100 - PSPAH with Vista Premium Home edition version of recovery. Now, I want to install a second operating system such as Windows XP Home edition on this laptop. The problem is that Windows XP Home edition did not find 3 drivers. For sound, LAN and another device. For this reason I update my notebook with the latest chipset drivers, but the problem is still there. Vista now has problems with the drivers, too. I can't find the special driver on toshiba home page.

    Jens MFG

    Hello

I understand your problem at the moment that I also prefer XP instead of Vista operating system.
Vista needs simply too many resources for laptop and all applications and 3rd devices are not 100% supported by Vista.

But what say man seems to find compatible drivers on chip manufacturing sites.
Download and install a tool called Everest or other similar hardware diagnostic tool and try to find out what LAN and sound chips are used in your laptop!
Then, you can search drivers Intel, Realtek, etc... pages

  • Need to reinstall completely Windows - XP Home Edition due to a virus

I need to completely reinstall Windows XP Home Edition due to a virus, but the virus prevents me from doing this.  Should I start in SafeMode (F8) to reinstall it?

    Hi André,.

Best way to clean install OS is to boot from the windows xp CD. You will need to configure your CMOS to set the boot order to CD/DVD drive as the first drive. While the XP CD in the drive start your pc, press a key when you are prompted "Press any key to boot from the CD-ROM..." Select clean install (you need to press ESC to repair the windows installation ". You will get an option to format the partition, format and install the operating system.

Clean install will ask you to:

    -> Reactivate windows.

-> Install all of the software required.

-> Backup / restore your important data.

    -> All drivers.

BTW, what is the virus, that you are not able to clean... Try to download available from www.download.com free antivrus, update and scan.

You can also run malware-removal tools software (click on start-> Run Type & -> mrt.exe-> ok).

Try to download www.safer-networking.org/ for spyware spybot.

    I hope this helps.

Open the address book in the old identity and file | Export | Address book (wab) to any location on your HARD drive that is easy for you. The office is very well. Then drag that to the flash drive.

In IE: File | Import and export | Export to a file. Check Favorites | Next | Next | Navigate to a folder or the desktop and export. Drag the folder in the flash player.

For photos, just right-click on the folder and drag it to the USB and copy here.

I need to activate my windows 7 Home premium and when I look at the bottom of my computer product key essentially disappeared... What can I do to get my product key?

Option 1: You will need to invest in a new license.

Option 2: If your computer comes with a recovery partition, use to reinstall Windows 7, it will exempt the need to have a product key.

Option 3. Ask a recovery disk set from the manufacturer of your computer and use it to reinstall Windows 7, it will be exempt from the need to have a product key too.

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling.

    ------------------------------------

This is how the recovery partition is available for the most popular brands

For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"

  • Equium L30 - no sound in Windows XP Home edition

I have read all the messages for the sound with Realtek HD audio problem but still no sound on my laptop. I tried to install software patches from Microsoft, I tried to install the vista drivers but nothing works. The sound is properly installed but when I go into Winamp or any other media device I can't hear anything. No sound windows, nothing, but the device is not functioning properly.

All these problems are Windows XP Home edition. In Windows Vista, I have no problem at all. I have an Equium L30. Help, please! Excuse for my English.

You already mentioned that you have already installed Windows (patch) patches.
Well, the problem is that you must reinstall these patches at first and then you could install driver sound. These fixes are needed; Fixes KB888111 and KB835221.

The audio driver (Realtek HD Audio) can be downloaded from the Toshiba driver page!

    Good luck and greetings ;)

  • You will need to re - install windows xp home edition after hardware failure.

    Hello

I have an old e-machines computer desk (T1842) I bought nine years ago. It comes preinstalled with microsoft windows xp home edition, there is little time, we had a power surge in our House because of an act of God. I didn't throw this computer, so I bought a new power supply and a new motherboard for my computer running again. This is where my problem occurs, the hard drive on this computer became corrupt, and I have to re - install the operating system on it. The only software that has been arranged for me at time of purchase was a two disc set of what e machines calls "recovery disc". I tried to use these disk to get my computer running again, but there seems to be a hardware conflict now because I had to replace the motherboard, etc... What can I do to get my computer working again, of course, I still have the certificate of authenticity of microsoft / label the product key provided on the back of my computer at the time of the purchase, but the product key does not seem to help me solve this problem. I do not want to get my computer working again, it would be nice if I could get a new disk of software that would be compatible with this new motherboard, etc.. Can someone help me please?

    Thank you

    David

FWIW... The motherboard came with a driver disk? If you use the recovery disk, I don't think you will be able to re - install windows from scratch. Even if you could you would have problems with the product key code, since the code you have is registered to the old mobo. You can click on the link below and follow the instructions to create a Utlity Cd, allowing you to recover your data on the hard drive. It is also full other little tools that will be useful.

  • Where can I find the full list of the features of Windows XP Home Edition and Windows XP Professional

Could you please direct me to the Microsoft Documents where I can find detailed specifications and characteristics of the two operating systems:

    (1) Windows XP Home Edition

    (2) Windows XP Professional Edition

    Thank you

    Hello Roman

Thanks for the clarification on the "new computer".

If, as you say, the card mother and any other material is compatible XP then by all means install Windows XP on this machine. As you said you "my idea is to get the XP and keep as long as possible, even after support ceased in 2014, because I like it better than any other operating system." You have been made aware of possible problems concerning the lack of support and you are ready to accept those. The only problem is to get a copy of Windows XP from a reliable source. Unfortunately, I can't help you with that. Personally, I prefer to get my software direct from the manufacturer or by a reliable retailer. As no other retailer has copies of Windows XP you are, unfortunately, has left the search for credible resource on the web.

My note to the subject of sticking with Windows 7 or 8 on your new computer has been in regards to your initial comment to a "new computer". I have two computers that are running Windows 7 and Windows 8, but then again maybe I need the additional machines and you do not have.

I have to admit that Windows XP is a great operating system, and to be honest, I also use it on a virtual machine on one of my PC. However it is more for support reasons than the generalization on my part.

Windows 7 get some getting used to, but I found it a usable operating system. Windows 8, however, is an altogether different beast. You love or hate it and judging by the comments on the Microsoft forums many people hate everything simply. Yet once I used it since the first beta of the operating system, so I'm used to it.

I agree with voluntary J on Windows XP Mode. This is useful if you have applications that are not compatible with Windows 7. However, as you said in your reply to J to volunteer, you must upgrade to Windows 7 Professional. You can run Windows XP on a virtual machine, with, say, Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 (as a free option); However, you should always buy a copy of XP and new Virtual Machines have some restrictions, especially when it comes to certain types of hardware connected to your PC. Maybe your best bet, if you prefer to upgrade would be to use Windows XP from Windows 7 mode.

I hope that you succeed in your quest for a reliable copy of Windows XP

First of all, note that it is not Windows XP Pro and Windows XP, there
Windows XP Pro vs Windows XP Home Edition.

XP Home and Professional are identical except that professional
includes a few features (primarily related to security and networking)

These extra features and will see no benefit from the upgrade.

Also note another point, not included in one of the foregoing:
