NEITHER DAQ tools Matlab

Hello

I installed NI-DAQ for Matlab tools. I have the ".m" files in the folder of the Toolbox, but I'm not able to run an any of them.

I have a message 'Cannot run *.m file' term to 49

Please can you let me know how to use this tool?

I heard something to change in the xml file info.xml...?

Thank you very much

Well, it was the XML apparently it's working now.

You must change it by opening it in a window of change in matlab (I wasn't able to windows Notepad)

  • Neither daq 6009 - delay in time between the measures

    Hi all

My first post I have a small question about the acquisition of data with the NOR-DAQ 6009, where I try to get one or more number of samples per minute. Let's say I want to wait for some time before taking a measurement. I don't know how to do this. I tried to figure it out by myself, but because I am completely new to LabView and I come from the OR-6009, I was wondering if someone can help me here.

If this is useful, I enclose the .vi.

Please let me know if you need more info.

    Thanks in advance.

You would get the timestamp before the average like I said or just call to get Date/time according to the seconds. Example below. You can recreate a waveform data type or do whatever you want with the timestamp and the average.

I have an older version of Labview and I wonder if a PCI-6110 card with part number 184111 L-01 would work with NOR-DAQ traditional such as NOR-DAQ 6.9.3?

    Thank you, David

    Hi David,

Yes, it looks like this should be possible.  The 6.9.3, hereOR-DAQ readme file, mention of the PCI-6110 and it should be compatible with this version.

  • 6259 PCI support Simulink

I want to develop an application in real time on PCI-6259 with Matlab / Simulink, but I don ^ t know this device supports Simulink or not.

    Hi umutozkan...

Thanks for the post and I hope that your well today.

First, you must be the MATLAB® Data Acquisition Toolbox, which can be used with NOR-DAQmx. OR Simulation Interface Toolkit (SIT), which, by default, generates DAQmx screws to connect with map DAQ. It seems to your post your using Matlab, so option 1.

The Data Acquisition Toolbox version 2.12 supports DAQ hardware that uses a software driver OR-DAQmx or NOR - traditional DAQ .  MATLAB supports supported version 8.5 or higher OR-DAQmx and NOR-DAQ traditional version 7.3 using this box to tools.

The Data Acquisition Toolbox 2.8 version has been made especially to work with NOR-DAQmx 7.5 and 7.3 of NOR-traditional DAQ. Older versions of the Toolbox of Data Acquisition for MATLAB® versions of NOR-traditional DAQ support only.

Site Web IThe the Mathworks, Inc. has the latest support information about NOR-DAQmx.

See all this forum long post.

Use with DAQmx M series cards in Matlab!

  • Reading data with NOR-5772

I'm reading the data with the NOR-5772.  I tried the example code(NI_5772-Getting_Started_(Host).vi), and it will read noise (with nothing plugged into channels).   However when I try to send a signal (such as that generated with a NEITHER-DAQ card on the same system and routed to AI0/AI1), the signal does not change a lot of the noise.   I have the drivers updated and am under LabView 2012 (32-bit and 64-bit, I get the same result)

Everyone has to experience this problem?   Thank you.

Yes, the device is AC coupled and has a high pass filter.  There is a diagram of frequency response on page 20 of the user manual:

    http://www.NI.com/PDF/manuals/373625a.PDF

It seems that the cuttoff frequency is about 100 kHz.

  • PXI-5112 with XP, LV 2010 (and the determination of review)

Just found an old PXI-5112. I could do great with this card things if I could make it work.

When I first plugged it to my PXI chassis, it was detected in MAX as a device of NOR-DAQ traditional with the latest version of NOR-DAQ traditional (7.4.4). However, when I tried to open a test Panel on this subject, I received a message that the device "failed the test". If I open the Panel test in any case, I get an error-10840 (soft error).

I called OR support on this subject and the engineer found this article in the knowledge base for me:

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/E956B50E8E0FC44E86256B030062CA2E

I then tried to determine my Board review. I read the first issue I've found which corresponded to the model. It was on a sticker on the side rear of the Council and read "702864 A-01". This vignette, we determined that my Board is A revision.

I tried following the advice that knowledge base article and install OR-DAQ 6.7.0 and 1.6 NO-SCOPE. With this combination, I can load up the SCOPE screws with LV 8.2.1, but when I try to run an example VI on my device, "DAQ::6", it fails to initialize the jury with "method or function not defined", or something like that. With NEITHER-DAQ 6.8.1 and 1.6 NO-SCOPE, I get a lot of impossible to find DLL errors attempting to perform the SCOPE of EIS. With NEITHER-DAQ 7.4.4 and 1.6 NO-SCOPE, I get the same old "Undefined function or method. If I try to run the VI on the wrong channel, like "DAQ::1", I get 'Device does not exist', he seems to recognize the device, just not being able to do something with it.

I'm about to give up on this, but I just realized that there are FIVE different numbers printed on my Board which match the pattern in this knowledge base article.

White sticker on chip on the back: 702864A - 01 Copyright 2000 NI

Yellow sticker on chip on the back: 703058A - 01

Printed in black on the login Panel: C 186030-01 REV1

Printed in white on the back of the PCB: 184196E-01

Printed in white on the front of the PCB: ASSY184194E-01

There is also a label with bar code with C3297D, which I think is the serial number. The guy NOR tried searching but couldn't find anything.

An interesting thing in particular on these numbers is that the ASSY184194E-01 contains the same exact number that is given as an example in this article in the knowledge base for a tray of Rev E: 184194E-01

I have two questions, if anyone can help:

    1. does anyone here have a PXI-5112, Rev A or one E, in no case to work in Windows XP?

    2. which one of these numbers should I trust to identify revision of my Board? It seems like that might be either A, C or E.

    Thank you!

    Max

    Hey Maxwell,

You are right that the serial number is C3297D, and the part number for the Board should be 184194E-01, indicating that it is revision E and is a module of 16 MB/ch PXI-5112. When you got the error, you said you had traditional-DAQ 7.4.4, but I'm not clear what version of NOR-SCOPE, you had. OR-SCOPE has been installed in the system at this time?

If you plan to run this Board in LabVIEW 2010 on a Windows XP-based computer, you need to install OR-SCOPE 3.6.2 in order to get all the support you need. As long as you are running a 64 bit OS, the PXI-5112 should function normally. OR-SCOPE 3.6.2 is the oldest version of the driver that will support LabVIEW 2010 (it will support LabVIEW 8.5.1 and more later). Seems to me that previous errors, you have been doing are the result of incompatibilities between versions of your different software/driver. If you install this latest version of NOR-SCOPE, it must include all the right support you need (traditional-DAQ 7.4.4, OR-SCOPE 3.6.2 support for LabVIEW 2010, NOR-DAQmx 9.1.5, MAX 4.7, etc.). Unfortunately, the only way to get NO-SCOPE 3.6.2 is through the CD August 2010 device drivers (DCD). Once you start the installation, you can select always right to install NO-SCOPE and not the rest of the drivers in the package if you do not want. Of course, having the latest updates of all might not be a bad idea, or if you want to just install everything.

Moreover, all the part numbers you listed (except the last) are parts numbers for specific elements of the PXI-5112 (Panel connection, the real PCB, CPLD chip, etc.). The assembly number is the one you are looking for. Sorry for the confusion.

    Best regards!

  • driver for usb-6221 XP LAbview 6.0.2

I'm trying to connect the usb-6221 to an old laptop with XP and Labview 6.0.2. I said that's not possible with NOR-DAQmx. This old version of Labview does not NOR-DAQmx, there NEITHER-DAQ 6.8 installed. Reading me for it suggests works with USB, but I can't find the USB drivers in installation.

Based on the response to your message here, the only USB devices supported in NOR-DAQ 6.8 are old appliances DAQPad E Series USB such as the NI DAQPad-6015 or DAQPad-6016.  All material of the M series, including variants of the USB, are no longer supported in NOR-DAQmx.

  • SCXI - 1104C

    Hello

Got a system running with a SCXI module - 1104C. I have now some errors of measurement that I never had before.

As emergency equipment, I have a SCXI-1104 (without 'C') module...  It is directly compatible with the system? Can I Exchange

the 1104C for 1104 to eliminate the demultiplexer fault?

    Beck777

    Hi Beck777,

You can find the manual for the module SCXI-1104 and SCXI-1104, on the link below:

    http://www.NI.com/PDF/manuals/322147b.PDF

If you read the frequently asked questions, he explained that the only difference between the two is the cutoff frequency of the filter. He also says that NEITHER-DAQ 6.7 or a later version is required for the SCXI - 1104C whereas you need NEITHER-DAQ version 6.5.1 or later for the 1104 ordinary. If you have the correct version of NOR-DAQ, it should work, but beware of the cutoff frequency. You may find yourself with a lot of noise on your signal.

    Error message

    Hi Matthew,

Thank you for following up after you fix your problem.  I'm glad to hear that you do not encounter this problem more.

Here is an article that lists the reasons for this error (although unfortunately, I cannot pin down which is the exact cause in this case).

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/03123D0E8A36C48E862577A4005B6BAA

NOTE: This article specifies that the error occurs at startup task VI DAQmx.  You do not use the start task VI, so the task starts automatically in the DAQmx Read function.  The error will occur instead in the DAQmx virtual channel create, that you encounter in your error.

I hope this gives you an idea about what could have gone wrong, and I'm sorry he is no more details.

    Good programming!

  • All installed crash of Labview versions since 8.2 install

So, on my development machine, I had to LV7.0, 7.1, 8.0 and 8.6.  (As well as the different version of teststand, daqmx, nor-daq, tool boxes, etc...)  Then came the day, there is no if a long time (say two hours) I'd need LabVIEW 8.2.

So I install it.  He finished and tells me to restart.  I reboot, and after trying to run the newly installed 8.2.1, I get "Labview 8.2.1 development system has encountered a problem and needs to close...". "AppName: labvie.exe AppVer 8.2.1.4002 with the same respective values for ModName ModVer.

So I try one of my other installed versions, same for 7.1 8.0 and 8.6 except that 7.1 gives me ModName:msvcrt.dll ModVer: 7.0.2600.5512 rather than replicate the AppName and AppVer info.

LV7.0 also tells me "the requested feature is not available in"c:\program files\NI\shared\license manager\Licenses"now, this folder contains a Labview_Labview_070000.lic file that has updated the marking of 21/03/2003.

SignalExpress blocks the same way with ModName: ntdll.dll ModVer: 5.1.2600.5512.

Now, another thing funny.   Manager licenses OR ceases to operate the same way.  AppName: nilmutil.exe AppVer: 3.3.0.39 ModName: ntdll.dll ModVer: 5.1.2600.5512.

My current version of TestStand (3.5) accidents in the same way.  The version selector works.  Just spilled to 3.1 and it tells me "could not initialize the TestStand engine.  System-level exception. "Spilled the 4.1.1 and it throws up the home screen briefly then just sits in the background.  No CPU cycles only, no memory, no sequence editor use delta.

CVI 8.5 gives: fatal internal error to 001 B: 7C9108D3.  LabWindows/CVI is abandoned.

CVI 9.0 gives an Application error: the instruction at "0x7c9108d3" referenced memory at "0x656d7572".  The memory could not be "written".  Click on OK to terminate the program.

MAX 4.5.0f0 works and shows all these applications as installed.

I've got 18 services or that run in the background.

Help?  And please no answers ' uninstall/reinstall everything.  I bet that I've got 20 + hours in this thing over the last two months in the software OR / toolkit / driver installed and I can't afford to start all over again.

    Kind regards

    Mike

A person on the line to support tech showed me the problem:

    Here

Apparently, you can have 99 license living in C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\Shared\License Manager\Licenses files.  License #100 brings the party to a halt.  I think it's something that should be fixed because each major toolkit has one or more licenses and even the Labview development versions will sometimes install 20 + full license on an installation files.

  • Detect the frequency of an analog signal crossing of myRIo AudioIn analog channels

I'm working on a robot firefighting that runs using myRio. I have a small microphone plugged into the port of "AudioIn' of the myRIO, and the robot has to detect a certain frequency (2.8 or 3.5 KHz) to start navigating. The AnalogIn express VI gives me amplitudes of raw tension of type 'Double' but the 'tone Measurment' vi I wanted to use takes in a data type of "Signal". I tried to convert raw data into dynamic data and feeding it, but did not work. A problem is that I can't control the sampling frequency of the express VI AnalogIn (LabView 2013), I appreciate any suggestions on how to do it.

If you install the myRIO 2014 broadband module you can use the Audio input Express VI to sample between 1 and 30 kHz.

You will need to follow the instructions in the myRIO 2014 LabVIEW Toolkit Readme in the section titled the switching between the default and personalities FPGA high speed.

There is also a thread on the MakerHub of LabVIEW where the Toolbox broadband has been used to generate sound , so it might be a good resource to be part of the path.

If you use NEITHER-DAQ hardware, you can get access to the DAQmx driver but myRIO cannot use the DAQmx driver sample data.

Edit: You can also get more help specific myRIO by moving the post on the discussion forum academic hardware products (ELVIS, myDAQ, myRIO) .
