  As a first step, I would recommend to use the Toshiba Recovery CD and renew the operating system.

  OK, I have a new computer - Intel Sandybridge 2600 CPU, MB Gigabyte Ga-P67A-UD5-B3, 8 G Ram Idleness, Dark Fleet 85 case with connector SATA hotswap in the upper part.   I just bought a Netbook NB305, the first thing I tried to do was to create a set of factory restore disks because I ended up returning an Acer Aspire one because of the same problems (shop admitted there was a problem even after Acer spread it) so I thought I would try the Toshiba.

  In any case, I thought that I would try and burn restore disks but the machine is just do not have it, and I don't see why I should pay Toshiba to buy discs for something that their software should do.

• Upgrade RAM NB305 does not work

  I recently bought a netbook NB305-10F in Spain. This computer has a processor Atom n455 and specification, should be expandable to 2 GB using a stick of memory DDR3 1066.

  When I tried to upgrade the memory to 2 GB, it did not work. I tried another stick, just in case there was a problem in the first, and I got the same results. The computer does not start with the stick of 2GB (although the original 1 GB works fine).

  I called Toshiba Tech Support in Spain twice and it turns out that they are totally clueless.

  In the first call, the call center agent said that "maybe" my computer is not extensible (although the site Web of Toshiba says that it is), and that maybe I should update my BIOS to 1.7. He didn't know for sure what are the changes between versions 1.5 and 1.7.

  In the second call, another agent asked me if I inserted the memory into the slot on the right (according to her, my netbook has two memory slots). I told her that my computer has only one. And then she said I should buy memory at 800 MHz instead of 1 066 MHz (even thought the specs and the original memory in my netbook are at 1066 MHz).

  The one I used is Kingston KVR1066D3S7 / 2G. The Spanish site of Toshiba says nothing of a specific memory type.

  On my Satellite Pro M70, cooling fan also constantly works at very low speed. I put t know how it works on your device, but it's normal. Constant running on full speed could be indication on any hardware problem but no precise explanation in your ad, I can just say: it's normal!

  Have 7-zip extract of: and leave it to decompress the file in its folder.

  Now, once 7-Zip has done this, right click on the A316A, the etc file and run 7 - zip to decompress this file in its folder.

  Then open that folder and right click on the A309_Win7Logo, etc., drop and have extracted 7 - zip this file in a folder.

  Then, open this folder and open the OUTDIR folder and open the folder to Vista x 64.

  Again, do a right click on the Setup file and have 7 - Zip to decompress this file in its folder.
