"Just in case someone else has this problem - I found this problem solved my AMD Radeon HD 6670 and it might work here:

1. open the Device Manager;

2. go in display adapters and make a right click of your graphics card.

3. Update device driver;

4 browse my computer manually;

5 let me pick from a list;

6. the driver that worked for me was (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v 1.20) inside. Try to install each of them (outside of Microsoft Basic Display Adapter) and see if they work. »

This fix worked for me, even if after the update of v 1.20 WDDM driver, I had to then restart the laptop, then Device Manager showed that the AMD driver would only begin. I used the same process above a second time, but this term you choose driver AMD of origin (at the top of the list of drivers) to update manually. After doing this, the Netflix for Windows app 8 worked.

    Food that I suggested above will replace the existing power supply. It has enough power to handle the NVIDIA 550TI if you wish to get a more powerful video card (but more expensive).

    In general, I recommend the Corsair CX500 because she has enough power to handle most video cards except the very high-end. However, it is more expensive.

    I have a HP Pavilion p6523w. I can run diablo 3, but it is extremely slow and I guess that choppy looking. I tried to work with blizzard on the problem, but it's slow going.     OK this requirements are without physical limits at all - it also depends on what you have changed or that you want to change next to the graphics card - an additional audio card? Other cards? A second HDD? Another drive?

    Just check out what is offered, if you can get a 550W without much more money, then take it. Look for a big fan - he will be more silencer/cooler.
    It will of course make no sense to take a 1000W for an additional card.

    Look at what is offered in your area.
    Maybe Enermax, Thermaltake?

    Check tests of the computer sites.

    Unfortunately, the video card is unable to be upgraded in your model specifications, or most any other laptop by the way.

    The integrated video chip is soldered on the motherboard and it uses system memory. Video chips even discreet are normally part of the motherboard and cannot be changed.

    Recently upgraded to Win 8 on workstation HP xw6200 of my son.  The graphics (Nvidia Quadro NVS 55/280 PCI) card no longer works and I understand that this card is not supported.

    Can anyone suggest a suitable and inexpensive replacement? There are has four locations the same (we have the current map in), a PCI-Express x 16 (graphics) and a PCI-Express x 8 Prime slot * below.  Both are empty at the moment.  The * explanantion is 'PCI-Express x 8 main connector that has x 4 bandwidth'.

    I've never changed before PC components, but a google search suggests it is relatively simple... If this isn't the case, please also scream!

    You can go to the nvidia site to find if there is a driver for it also W8 should have detected and it did mine before I realized it was the same thing that nvidia had so I guess w8 is a driver search to get the drivers for it... http://www.nvidia.com/content/global/global.php

    Thanks for the article.  The icon stopped appearing after the third time I've updated from Windows.  Someone must have solved the problem to Microsoft.  I did nothing except reboot several times.  Finally, the Update icon went in itself.
