NETGEAR DR834G v3 router unable to connect to newly installed Windows7 Pro

Original title: Netgear DR834G v3 connection newly installed Windows7 Pro on my pc

I installed Windows7Pro on my pc (after removing the XP) but can't connect my Netgear DG834G v3 router: the ethernet led does not light and there is no connection to the pc to the router.   I am using the Netgear installation disc, but can only get to this point.    The router works fine with my laptop, using both the ethernet cable and wireless.  Somebody said that I have to install a driver?   How and where can I get this from?  What should I do to connect?

Hi Antje,

For a better understanding of the question, I would like to know what is the serial number and model of the computer?

This problem could occur due to these reasons.

1 if the router is not properly Setup.

2. If the software\driver is not installed or damaged.

Try the steps listed here and see if it helps.

Method 1:
I suggest you to return the item and check if it helps.

Method 2:
If the problem persists, I suggest you to download software\driver for the router on the manufacturer's Web site and check if it helps.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8610: Unable to connect 2 laptop HP Officejet Pro 8610

I have 2 HP laptops each with Win7 (64 bit) SP1 and I'm trying to connect to the computer laptop 2nd in an OfficeJet Pro8610 to print wireless.  I tried using the CD rom and download the drivers online but I can connect this laptop to the printer.  I get to a point where the login process requires the printers claim id code but when I enter the code I got a message that this code is already in use (the other laptop is connected wireless) and in order to connect, I have to delete the other laptop.  I am at a loss here because I had both the same laptops connected to my old 6700 OfficeJet and could print without any problem installing wireless at all.

What I'm missing here with the 8610?  Thank you

The code you enter is likely to set up ePrint for the printer address.  Once this has been done it is not necessary to do it again.

An alternative is that the laptop is connected directly to the printer with direct wireless wireless.  In this case, you will need to disconnect the laptop computer from the printer to use the other laptop.

A better configuration would be to connect the printer to your router wither wireless or cable LAN cable.  It would give the IP address which you can find by pressing the front panel of the printer to the printer (if the printer is in mode "sleep"), then tap the wireless at the bottom of the screen.  This will bring up the LAN wireless status, where you can find the IP address of the printer.

You should be able to set up the printer with the driver available at http://www.hp.com/go/toolsinstallation wizard.

  • Unable to connect to a Windows XP Pro SP3 machine using remote assistance

Remote Assistance XP Pro sp3 and Windows 7Any

I realize account of Windows 7 is still in RC, so if that's the answer, that's what it is. :-)

Trying to help MOM with assistance remotely.  She is under XP Pro sp3, and I'm running a box fully patched Windows 7.  When she sends the invitation of the RA, the box 7 attempts to connect says it is connected and then is waiting for response from the user.  However, she never had a guest on his machine to accept the request.

Now, I know what you think, so take that into consideration.  When it does work, I broke out my other laptop under XP Pro SP3 and was immediately able to get on her box without any problem, that is to say, just behaved as expected.

Any suggestions for W7 to connect to a box of XP Pro sp3 with RA?  I can see it as an ISP thing - maybe - 7 using a protocol of its blocks to ISP (as cox communications blocks port 80 on residential users), perhaps a DCOM conflict or something like.  I really hope that this isn't just stupidity on my part, but it would not be the first time. ;-D

    Any input appreciated

    Thank you

    Joe

PS we also tried the direct connection to the net - no device between us other than (his end) DSL modem and modem cable (my thesis).

  • Unable to connect to the application Adobe Pro even when DC online and connected account Adobe. Why?

I recently bought Adobe Pro DC subscription and downloaded the desktop application. When I open the application on the desktop while I'm online, then click 'Sign in' at the top right, nothing happens. Even when I connect to my account on Adobe.com via web browser, the application still says 'connect' but doesn't respond when I click on this. Is there a bug in the software that I downloaded? Is there a simple solution?

    Hi dbulsara,

Please uninstall the current installation of Acrobat DC program using this tool cleaner Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat cleaning - Adobe Labs tool (if you're on Windows OS) like her for the desktop version & reinstall Acrobat Pro DC following the steps in this KB Acrobat DC subscription document. Download and install.

  • Extensions Exchange and Kuler, unable to connect costs to install CC products

I just installed CC yesterday (PS, ID, I, PR, FL, DW, LR, AE, Exchange and a few others). After the success of the download and installation, nothing in the extensions Panel will load. Of course, I have that Kuler and Exchange at the moment but, no connects to any product. The product of Exchange will connect stay but the extension won't. Here is a screen-cap of the window. Any suggestions? I already checked the "allow the Exchange to connect" button is checked in all products.

    Hi djlotus,

I got your email, but unfortunately there was no attached zip file.

-The fact that your AdobeOnlineDefault registry value is set to 0 is most likely the problem.

Set this value to 0 tells the Adobe Extensions to "do not connect to the Internet" - and 1 configuration allows extensions to connect to the Internet. It is very curious that this value is set to 0 in your registry - perhaps another extension on your machine previously set this property to 0 without intending to influence the other extensions. Can you try changing this value to 1, by restarting your computer and then by opening the Panel change once again?

If it still does not work, try to send the newspapers for me and I'm going to continue the investigation.

    Thank you

  • upgrade to windows 10 and unable to connect to the Netgear router

After the upgrade to Windows 10, I get a connection limited to the router.  I have tried everything that seems to indicate that I have seen but not solution.  I went back to 8.1 and everything is ok.  Drivers are all to date I can say.  The problem seems to be related to the default gateway or the lack of it.  It is not good to reset the router.  My labtop HP running windows 8.1 works fine but my Dell Inspiron gets only limited access to the router. I need help to solve the end.

    keybaud

I do not have a Dell, but I'm having a similar problem with the Netgear WNDR4500 v1 router and an ethernet Intel I217-V adapter. 10 Windows does not recognize the router is via the Ethernet connection, but it does not work with a wifi dongle.

This is to help, adding that I don't expect Dell to solve my problem. :-)

    Hello

Not sure what help I can give since I know not what system you have, and if it is considered compatible Win10, but here is the link to the driver Windows 10 ethernet Intel 1217 - V cards.  ((NOTE: le lien que je fournis est pour la version 64 bits de Windows 10.))  If you have installed the 32-bit version and then to just change the drop-down list of BONE near the top of this page))

I would also say that updating the firmware on this router would be your next step.  See if one or both of the Exchange help people.

If this isn't the case, then remove all your system's ethernet drivers, reboot and see if Windows 10 has all the innate drivers that may work.  Or else let Windows Update search and download a driver.  Who has the strongest chance of finding a compatible driver.

    I hope this helps.

    r Ellis,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers community forum.

If cela used to work, but the fact now, you can try to do a system restore back before the problem started.
To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:
Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
In the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.
In the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.
    Click Finish.
The computer restarts and system files and settings are back to the State they were in when the restore point was created.

What happens when you try to connect - the computer see the router but not connect or not he sees the router at all?  Your wireless card still appears upward and it shows the available networks?  Depending on the answers to these questions, it could be a number of different things, so we have to know what that is and can't.  It could be that anything the wireles adapter has stopped working, the need of drivers update, interference, etc..  Let us know if the adapter is working or not and he sees to all networks or not, and we'll go from there.

  • Satellite Pro C50 "unable to connect" when linking to Netgear WiFi

WiFi error - could not connect to this network WNAP210 Netgear router.

    Hello

I have a problem with my computer laptop connection with my router Wifi Netgear router WNAP210 model, when I type the password it says that it is unable to connect or sometimes that the password is incorrect!

I contacted Netgear, and they suggested changing the name of the router to remove any trait symbols "_" underscore, I made it today but always this annoying message on the cell phone. It does the same thing on my Nokia Lumia 1320!

I tried deleting found connections and starting from scratch and also changed the name of the router (which displays correctly when you scan for Wifi on the C50).

Now it starts to get really wound up... Please please help?

    Thank you
    Adam.

    Hello

You should check the configuration of the WLan router.
First, you will need to use the same standard WLan (802.11 A/B/G/N) for the wireless network, as well as for the Wlan router.
In the device-> Waln Manager map properties-> Advanced tab, you can choose the standard Wlan to Wlan card.
You should also check the settings (WPA/WPA2 AES, TKIP) encryption. Not all standards are supported by each Wlan adapter! So please pay attention to this fact.

Last but not least, you should also check if these connection problems using various channels (1-11)

  • Satellite A300 - unable to connect to my router

    Hi all

I have a Satellite A300 and a Satellite A300D. Since a year im dealing with a problem and eat my heart. I have problems to connect to my router, for the moment I have a Netgear ADSL modem router wireless. When I am looking for a wireless network it seems to find the network, but when I want to connect I get the message network is no longer in the area.

The distance between my modem and laptops are 3 meters in an apartment, even when im sitting on my router :-) this is not not possible to connect to the wlan. Tried to connect without any wep/wpa encryption, no effect. Played with communication channels @ the properties of the wireless network adapter and the router, but this isn't a solution.

Before I got the Netgear, I had a Linksys / Sweex / Cisco pro / router Wlan from HP. I tried all brands of wlan, with all routers routers of this I had the same problem.

Frustrating him of is that I can connect to my neighbors without any problem, but not my own network.

Anyone having the same problem or know a solution?

Have you tried to update the WLAN driver on two laptops? You can find it on the Toshiba site and I would update the BIOS too:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

What operating system do you use? If you use Vista, you must disable the WLAN to save energy card. You can do it in Vista Power Options.

You use the same standard WiFi on your laptop as on the router? For example I mean project. G check this!

At the moment it is not easy to say what is the reason for this, but I hope that I could help you a little. :)

original title: unable to connect to the wireless router?

    Hi Brandon,.

What operating system do you use? (Windows 7, Vista, XP?)
You receive any type of error message when you try to connect?
What exactly happens when you try to connect?
You receive an internet connection when you connect with an Ethernet cable?
There are a few good troubleshooting in this thread. I suggest to look to see if it helps at all:
  • Unable to connect to the drop folder digital network after the installation of the new wireless router

I have already scanned to the folder of network of digital repository on a printer HP 8500 wireless, connected to a wireless G home network. However, I recently bought a new superisolants wireless router and am no longer able to use the scan function. I now get an error message that says: unable to connect to \\Computer\Folder Make sure the remote computer is turned on. The printer on the wireless network and works very well except for scanning to the folder of the network of Direct deposit. Thank you.

  • I am unable to connect to the Linksys WRT54G Router with wired connection to Office XP.

My two laptops (XP and a Win7) will be connected to the router wireless and wired (ethernet). When it is plugged directly into the DSL modem, the Office connects and works very well. This problem started when I had to replace the DSL modem.

I inherited this problem for my elderly mother... and it all started because they gave me the router password wrong, who now works (router has been reset) on two laptops, but when connected, the Office doesn't even show a light of connection on the router except during startup. I no longer get a window of logon passwork for the router, and I am unable to connect/ping the router in the office. (192.168.1.1)

I would like to clarify a few things.

    1. two laptops work fine with cable connections and wireless through the WRT54G.

2 desktop PC, which has only a wired connection, does not connect successfully.

    3. the symptoms of the failure of the desktop connection to are that the link on the router at the start light flashes during initialization of the PC but then will Dim.

    4. when the desktop PC trying to connect to the internet, it fails.

5 when the desktop PC try to connect to the administration WRT54g page it fails.

    6. when the desktop computer try PIING the router at 192.168.1.1 IP address it fails.

    These points are correct?

Assuming this is correct, open a command prompt and type

    IPCONFIG/ALL

The output of the command should provide some information about the current state of the network connection.

It would be useful that you posted this here release.

The absence of a link light can be your main symptom and may be due to several reasons. He probably has an associate status "media disconnected" in IPCONFIG for the network connection.

This could be caused by a bad network cable or a network connection disabled in the properties of the network on the PC. Small jets knowing the ot IPCONFIG output is would help more.

Post this info if you can.

    Good luck
