  • NETGEAR A6210 not showing 5 GHz band

    Hello

I bought this A6210 dongle about 3 months ago, the 5 GHz worked very well around 2 months and one day stopped working.

I didn't have the time to try to solve, so I just used the 2.4 GHz, now I'm trying to fix it and nothing works.

    I tried to:

1 uninstall-installation (only driver, software and driver - version 1.0.0.34)

    2. change the position of the USB connector

    3. set "Only 5 GHz" - not showing my network

    etc.

It's really annoying that I can't use the 5 GHz - have you any suggestions?

Please close this topic, I found the solution (change the name of the SSID aand PASS)

  • A6210 adapter does not connect on 5G (Windows 7)

I would be very grateful for any help on this problem. I have an I7 computer running on Windows 7 with a Netgear A6210 wi - fi adapter and a modem router Netgear D7000. The router is new and seems to be working on various appliances on 2.4 & 5 GB. The adapter is older and works brilliantly on 2.4, but has all sorts of problems to 5 GB. He also had problems on 5 GB on a previous Netgear modem.

Most of the time he appears to connect at a good speed (867 MB) but most often fails to get an internet connection. In practice, I'm not sure it connects in fact since I have difficulties to access the router or my SIN cable on the router. In my view, there are occasions when I got the internet on 5 GB, but I played with it so long, I'm not sure.

I installed the latest driver for windows for the adapter (vsn 5.1.22.0) and it made no difference. When I use windows diagnostics considers what it takes to reset the adapter - but even after doing it still does not connect to the internet. Change to 2.4 GB connects quickly and works every time. NETGEAR genius tells me he's working on channels 9 & 13 to 3 bar strength and about 300 MB/s on 2.4 GB and channel 36-48 to 5 GB with a force of 4 bars and 867 MB / s.

I would be very grateful for all suggestions finding a way forward. I have no hair left to pull and closer me logging of all products netgear in the trash!

    James,

Thanks for your reply. In fact, I tried what you suggested, but it has not solved the problem.

However the problem has since been resolved by going into the modem and changing channels 5G of the numbers (36-42) low to high (100-112). This seems to have solved the problem with the A6210 adapter that connects now on 5G without problem and still works with other devices.

Interestingly, the two laptops were 5 G connection without problem from the same location as the card and are still. So I have no idea why this change has worked-, but he did.

    Thanks for your help

  • Netgear Wifi adapter software

What is the difference between software adapter Netgear A6210_v1_0_0_34.exe AND Netgear A6210_v1_0_0_34 - SA.exe Wifi? The two together for the card Wifi of Netgear A6210 downloaded versions. I'm not one to use to install my adapter.

Thanks for the reply. "I presume that the"-SA "version is the version with the genius and installed the other version." It seems to install and works fine without any problems.

  • A6210 guard disconnect wireless adapter

Every 30-40 minutes, or so my A6210 wireless adapter is connected to the router but not the Internet. This is for 2-3 minutes until the adapter connects to the Internet. How can I solve this problem? I am constantly disconnected from online games, I'm in and it sucks. During this period of 2-3 minutes, Internet on my other devices works fine, but not on this PC. I also use WIndows 10 and have the latest firmware for Netgear engineering, 1.0.0.34.

If you have anti virus or firewall, try to uninstall it to l ' moment and observe the connection. If still the same, I would contact our support.

  • A6210 not taken in charge with Windows 8.1

After several times being hung up, including waiting to talk to a supervisor, it is what I said.

Netgear material: R8000, E7000 Extender, A6210 adapter wireless router

I bought an A6210 6 weeks to run on my Windows 8.1 desktop and have had several problems - to connect to a router R8000, when I try to use 5G, the adapter disconnects and can't find no matter what networks until I reboot my system. 2G seemed to be ok most of the time, but a flow would greatly suffer any time I tried to connect 5G and back to 2G - wouldn't recover until I started.

So, I filed a support case (25255972) and was given instructions on uninstall/install drivers and device - even though I was already running the current drivers. Does this - sort of - installation would never end. Then I called support and as soon as I mentioned that I was running 8.1, I said he had a problem with my machine (they had a lot of people with the same problem with Windows 8 and 8.1) and 'we' would have to modify the configuration settings - but ONLY if I signed up for a bunch of paid support.

Anyone else having the same problems? Maybe another seller is in order if it is to get good customers.

Oh and I forgot to mention, I left it the adapter plugged in all the time during the windows reinstall, then installed the stand-alone driver.

  • Cannot connect BT Hub 6 to Netgear booster

I upgraded my BT home Hub of a 5 to 6. The BT Hub 5 connected before my booster of Netgear (EX6100).

I tried to delete the old network Netgear since my IPAD - BTHub5-PMP3_2GEXT, however, the tab "network don't forget" does not exist.

The BT Hub is connected to a desktop via Ethernet cable

I tried to put the booster of Netgear next to the hub and connection using the WPS button, it does not connect.

    Any suggestions please.

    Steve

The booster can be to remember the old network. Is it possible to reset (clear) so he starts again?

You will perhaps connect to the EX6100 using your iPad and configure it manually, as explained in the manual.

  • Time capsules can extend a Netgear network

A time Capsule can be used to expand a network of Wi - Fi Nighthawk Netgear router X 6 AC3200 Tri - Band (R8000)?

The best answer we could provide... as you do not specify if you intend to "extend" the Netgear using Ethernet or Wi - Fi connection... would be Yes and no.

Yes, if you connect the Capsule on the Netgear router using a wired Ethernet cable connection, permanently.

No, if you think you have the time Capsule only connect to the Netgear wireless network.

  • 1 St gen AX and connect to the new network Netgear M/R...

Updated my cable modem/router to a Netgear C7000 and can't get my 1 St gen airport to reconnect to my network - Express use only in client mode to stream iTunes to amplified speakers. Have you tried all the typical solutions, but wonder if the problem may be with the security settings. The 1st gen AX supports WPA2-PSK security?

    Yes, he does.

However, users often get confused about what could be a 1st Gen AirPort Express.  Please check to locate the model number of the Express... it's on the side of the unit... hard to see... so you need good lighting and reading glasses.  The model number starts with an 'A' follow-up of four digits.

A 1st Gen AirPort Express is A1264 model number.  The 1st Gen means that it was the first Express to use 802.11 "n" wireless.

If you see A1084 or A1088, it is wireless a lot more old "b/g" which has been sold long before that Apple has started using the generation of naming when 802.11n model was introduced in 2008.

If that's what you have, then you will probably need to use WPA - PSK - TKIP security settings.

  • Can I watch movies from my Netgear Stora on the new Apple TV

Hi, I have a Netgear Stora as a server for movies, if this is related to my router as it is now, and a new Apple TV if I can watch my movies?
    Thank you.

Yes, there are a few apps that allow you to do this. In my view, Plex and merger are those that many use.

  • Airport Express used as a range extender with a Virgin / superhub of Netgear does not work

I use Wifi around the House on three floors and in the back kitchen.  in the kitchen, reception is poor, probably because of masonry between the modem and the kitchen walls.

I bought an Airport Express 802.11n in January 2016 hub to extend the WiFi in the kitchen and I hope that the patio beyond.  The distances are not great - 10 to 15 m.  We have the Virgin as a provider with a Netgear Virgin Super Hub (490 VMDG).

Express to the airport moved and this is confirmed when to check on my Mac with Airport utility, the MONKEY shows and itself a steady green light.

Problem is that in using wifi designs in the kitchen the signal is poor to non-existent and when I turn off the EPA the signal isn't as well, which implies that the received signal is that of hub Super rather than the EPA.

I guess I can't realized overall upward to extend an existing network?

    Any suggestions?

The Airport Express is not designed to extend the signal of a 3rd party router, so if you try to have the Express connect wireless wireless and to extend the signal, he can not do with your Virgin Super Hub.

The Express is designed to extend the signal from another wireless only router from Apple.

The Express 'joined' your wireless network, it could be used to connect a compatible USB printer or for use with AirPlay.

If you want to Express to extend the signal of the Super station, the Express needs to connect to the hub using wired Ethernet wired, permanent.

Alternatively, another option would be to add another Express, install it near the hub and plug it into the hub with an Ethernet cable. Then, a 'distance' AirPort Express would be able to extend wireless signal of the Express 'main '.

  • Can I use Intel Wireless Display - Netgear PTV1000 on Satellite U400-157

I want to use the NETGEAR PTV 1000 wireless display device. The hammer on the Net says I should be able to use it if I change the operating system to Windows 7. I see that I need http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wtech/iwd/sb/CS-031059.htm Intel Wireless Display to use.

The Intel Wireless WifI Link 5100 wireless on the Satellite U400-157 is. Seems that it is not one that is required to run the PTV 1000? So an operating system for Win 7 can not allow me to use the PTV 1000?

  • Can I use Satellite R630 with Netgear and Intel wireless display technology

    Dear all,

I am a user of a Satellite R630-105 (processor i3 M350). I would use this laptop with Wi - Fi on my plasma on the wall display. Recently, I heard about Intel wireless display technology connected to the Netgear adapter as a possibility for wireless connection to the screen.

Can I use my computer with this technology? If so, what is the process? If not, is there an alternative, using cable is very inconvenient. I'm at the beginner level.

Thank you very much, to come.

    Peter

    > I would like to use this laptop with Wi - Fi on my plasma on the wall display.
Can you please me for what purpose you need this connection?
I mean what kind of data you want to transfer?
With other words you do exactly?
