Network connectivity error message

I have a Dell GX620 desktop computer and a laptop Dell D430 (two Windows 7).  I have Comcast Internet 50mbps with a gateway device 1 (Arris TG 862).  Whenever a race a diagnosis at home on two computers - wired and wireless - I get the error message: "your computer seems to be configured correctly, but the device or resource (DNS server), does not.  When I take the laptop in other places I never get this error message.  I saw a lot of posts online of people who receive the same error message, but all were unable to access the internet.  My problem is that I get this error message even though I CAN access the internet.  It makes no sense at all.  Other (possibly related) issues: 1) on the laptop I always wired 57mbps but on the computer laptop results are wildly incompatible (25-52mbps connected) and (5-30 Mbit/s wireless).  (2) on Xirrus WiFi Analyzer, the seller for my network is listed as Barnes-Noble.  Suppliers for other networks are indicated as Netgear, Arris, 2Wire, etc. or unknown.  There is another who has Barnes-Noble as a provider and network that was a BSSID identical to mine except for the second character.  The Barnes-Noble only I know is a bookstore and the closest is at least 5 miles away.  Also, this is meaningless.  (3) on Xirrus WiFi Analyzer when I run the accessible for DNS connectivity Test results ' fail: 100% Ping loss. "  Also, this is meaningless.  On Xirrus WiFi Analyzer when I run a quality Test of the result for the packet loss is 0%. Score of ping is ms 120-130, while that site says that even a decent score band width must be less than 100 and a jitter of Score is 15-20 ms.  I would be very happy if someone could shed some light on the issues detailed above.

Hi hope,.

Try resetting the TCP/IP stack. Go to the search box of the start menu and type cmd and press ENTER. In the command prompt window, type netsh int ip reset, and then press ENTER. If this does not help, type ipconfig/flushdns , and then press on enter. Then, restart your computer.
Let me know if it helps!

Do you realize that when you validate the ping results like you have without the reference to the appropriate IP address you ping it almost empty!

In other words, unless we know things like the configuration of the VM, bridged NIC, NAT or Host-Only and the output of ipconfig/all on Windows systems and ifconfig-a on Linux systems... just to name the basic information... then there's really nothing for us to analyze!

I found the problem (s), even if I am always left with a few questions.

During this process, I have disabled the firewall, but that did not help. However, I noticed 'tweaks' accessed via the tab 'Advanced' in 'Microsoft Firewall' which looked like, they must be checked in order to access the internet. I checked these and reintroduced the firewall. After I got things working, I unchecked them and things still worked so I obviously don't understand what these parameters.

    The solution:

    (1) I have to go straight from the modem cable to the computer. I can't have a cable modem, router wireless, computer, even if using hard wire, and even if this same configuration works with another computer. Also, I can't use a cable length to go from modem to the computer. So, it seems to have had a problem of cable length. Power problem? Only connected to this computer devices are the mouse, the keyboard and the Ethernet. Would not this be fixed with an upgrade of the power supply? Or is it due to the quality of the Ethernet hardware on the motherboard? It's a Dell Vostro 200.

    (2) in back and forth between configurations while following the problem, you must think to unplug the modem to reset between each configuration. You may have stumbled upon the solution, otherwise he's not shot. Also, I unplugged the cable from the modem when you reset data cable - do not know if it was necessary. I wanted to limit the degrees of freedom that I had a lot, as it was.

  • Difficulty 'Not connected' Error Messages When you try to access Web Services

If you are running on an error message on your printer stating that it is "not connected" when you try to access ePrint or your applications, but you know that it is connected to the internet, it probably just means that the printer does not connect to the server properly.

Here's the first set of markets, I will try, as they seem to solve this problem deliver half the time.

    • The first thing I'd like to try in this situation is a reboot of the system.
    • First, unplug the power cord at the back of your router.
    • Then unplug the power either to the back of the printer or the wall without it first turn.
    • Wait about 30 seconds and reconnect the power cord to your router.
    • Wait about another 30 seconds and reconnect the printer. It should start back up automatically, but if it is not moving forward and press the power button.
    • Once everything is back running, try to access ePrint or your applications.

If these steps do not work for you, the next thing would be to establish a static IP & DNS for the printer. Before doing this, you want to print a Network Setup page. It varies from a model, but usually found under settings wireless or in reports in the Setup menu. After that you have this page, follow these steps.

Before we begin, we need a network with your current connection settings configuration page. To do this, press the button on the front of your printer wireless and press 'Print Info' or 'print the State. " This example displays on a page of configuration of the network, which provides information on what we have to finish the next few steps.

    • After that you have, we will need to access the built-in Web server (EWS) printers. You can do this by entering the IP address of printers (from the Network Setup page) browser press and the address bar type.
    • Once there, press the 'Network' tab at the top of the page. From there, you'll want to click on the button "IPv4", on the f-side of the page. It will be there for wireless and wired, so make sure you click the one for you, but you are connected. If you do not see "IPv4", you should see 'Networking', press and press "Network Address (IP).
    • Then, you click the small round button next to "Manual"IP address", and then fill in the IP address, subnet mask and default gateway using the information available on the network configuration page.
    • For the primary or the preferred DNS server, you will want to enter 8.8.8.8.
    • For secondary school or another DNS server, you will want to write 8.8.4.4.
    • Click on apply and when the message appears saying that the changes have been applied, press 'OK '.
    • Press the power button on your printer, wait that it completely power off and press it again to power it on.
    • After doing this, go ahead and try to activate ePrint again.

These measures should fix this for you. If they don't, then something else can cause this problem for you. Reply in this thread if these steps do not work, and I'll see if I can help figure you out what might be causing the problem.

  • Untrusted connection error message on the computer at home, but can successfully connect to work

I've been connecting to this site for some time without problem (a notebook online for school son), but yesterday when I tried to connect from machine at home, got "this connection is Untrusted" error message. However, I was able to connect without problems to work today, but having the same problem at home again. Is this an indication that my home connection is somehow compromised? How can I check? Other sites seem to be working properly.

You can check the certificate through a site like this string:

  • Connectivity error message

I have a HP Officejet PRO 8500 has more the printer is installed on a Windows XP operating system.  I've been printing wireless for quite awhile with no problems.  Now, all of a sudden, I can't print wireless or USB.  I ran the HP Hardware Diasgnostic Utlitliy 3.1 Wireless - 'Connectivity error' However, when I print my Page of Configuration of HP network, it appears: network status = ready state = connected wireless.  The signal strength is 5 (scale of 1-5).  No idea what could be the problem?

Recent changes to the system: I recently dropped my Internet provider and uses a cell phone Hot Spot for connectivity.  However, I tested the hotspot for several weeks in order to ensure the proper functioning before abandoning my landline provider.  And, after the cancellation of my landline provider, my system worked successfully for several days before having difficulties.

The hot spot is the problem. Hotspots works as a cell phone, they attach to the tower that has the best signal strength at the time. Sometimes, when they make the Tower they change IP assignments in the hotspot DHCP assignments. The printer and the hotspot will record the change and reconnect. The computer notices the change as well, but he only getting is the new IP address. He doesn't know that the printer has a new IP address as well. This means that you connect the printer to the computer. The best way to stop this is to prevent it from happening by using a standard wireless network and not a hot spot. You can try setting a static IP address on the printer, but there is no permanent real difficulty when you connect the printer through a hotspot. The document following the link will have the steps to set a static IP address, but also other things you can try. I hope this helps.

Yes. I wasn't meaning crowbar and should have written that I mentioned only in the context of possibly answer the question for you.

I would like to know how it turns out. I don't expect that error (#6 MM) if the problem is the unit is locked on a single network, but used on another. I made the assumption that you have unlocked the device when you moved. My bad on this error.

  • Limited on Wi - Fi network connectivity error.

I always click the wifi on the lower right of my laptop and wait until the connection is back. If I use another laptop, the connection never gets limited. Help please. I tried all the steps on some discussions here, but none of them works. It's really frustrating

    Hello Evie,

    1. the problem persists with a particular Web site?

    2. What is the exact error message you get?

    3. do you use Internet Explorer to visit Web sites?

Internet connection issues are more often caused by cables disconnected or routers and modems that do not work correctly.

Perform the steps from the link below and see if it helps.

If you're in the Services applet according to method 1, also make sure that the Startup Type is set to automatic (to resolve, double-click the entry in the Services; Startup type is under the general tab).

You can also start Help and Support by using the Services applet (its Startup Type can be manual or automatic).

If you receive error messages when you try to follow the steps above, report completely, without paraphrasing.

The fact that two fairly common services do not work can mean that something more sinister is happening.  What antivirus application do you use?  What's his current subscription?  Its subscription has already been authorized expiration?

You can download, install, update and run MalwareBytes AntiMalware (it of free and can be removed later if you wish).
