  • Activation of Network Magic Pro 5.5

A few weeks ago my computer crashed and I had to reinstall Windows 7 and Network Magic Pro 5.5. However, it is impossible for me to activate my license.

After the reinstallation of Windows 7, I reinstalled Network Magic Pro 5.5 and tried to activate it until I reinstalled my firewall and antivirus to Panda Internet Security 2013.

When you try to activate Network Magic, I said (in translation) that:

"The license server could not be contacted.  Make sure that you have an active Internet connection and try again. »

In the last 3 or 4 weeks, I tried several times a week, but not successful.

Please tell me what to do.

Thanks for the information, dadayzee and scot2205. One thing is certain, Linksys has lost a potential customer.

Network Magic Pro v5.5.9118.2Pure0 will run on a Windows Home Server without interfering with the normal operation of the servers?

I've tried it on Windows Home Server (which is actually a hybrid version of Windows 2003 Server) and it works fine without any interruption. (Noted however, if you connect a second NETWORK adapter to a separate router, you will lose the network card)

Network Magic is not an antivirus program or a firewall of some type.

    You need an anti-virus program.

  • Not like Network Magic more

I installed Network Magic on all my computers.  Yesterday, one of the computers is indicated as being on the network, but when I try to limit internet access I get a message saying that he must be upgraded to 5.1.  Why is it so before yesterday, the computer has the latest version? And when I checked the version of the software it doessay 5.1

I know, the Archos tablet you are talking about runs on Android 2.2 Froyo operating system.  It is not included in the official system required for Network Magic.

  • Can not activate my Network Magic software after reinstalling

After a clean install of Windows 8 Pro I installed my Network Magic Software. After installation, I tried to activate my legal version, but it will not accept a connection to save and activate. I discovered that Cisco supports more Net Magic then activation is not possible in the Netherlands. Cisco said that there is no other tool network of Cisco for my WRT-320N replacement and other Cisco devices. Is it possible to activate my Network Magic software in another way (in the United States or in the registry of Windows or Network Magic)? THX Martin

One of the reasons why software cannot be installed are because of the firewall on your computer or antivirus software. Try to disable the firewall or disable your anti-virus temporarily and activate Network Magic again.

  • Problem detection network with Network Magic/Pure platform Service quirks and WUSB54GC

    SYSTEM & HARDWARE INFO:

    Wireless adapter: USB54GC v3
Router: Netgear WNR834B (with latest firmware)
Router config: Auto Channel, up to 130mbps mode, radio enabled, enabled SSID broadcast
    Router Config2: Frag Ahmed - 2346, beat the CTS/RTS - 234, long preamble, MTU - 1500
    Wireless security: WPA - PSK + WPA2 - PSK
Internet: ISP Modem, Auto-IP, DNS Auto, no connection cable

Operating system: Windows XP Pro SP3 (latest updates as of 17/01/2010)
Drivers: Latest from Linksys site (v4.9.90 setup.exe download)
Programs of security software: Comodo & Panda Cloud Antivirus Firewall
Configs of security software: uninstalled, installed or disabled, and installed/enabled

    DETAILS OF THE PROBLEMS:

No wireless network is detected on the computer with the installed adapter WUSB54GC.  Cell phones, printer (located in the same office) and game console, receive positive signals / have no connectivity problem.  With a new installation of Windows (i.e. the BONES cost installation before using each method) I tried to install the unit using the following methods: 1) using the Setup program on the CD-ROM included, 2) using the last program (drivers) site Web of Linksys, install 3) manually through the device with drivers from the Disk Manager and installing 4) manually through the Device Manager with the newer drivers from the Web site Linksys.  In addition, I tried with the firewall disabled/uninstalled software.

I had some success using the Linksys Wireless Manager program that is included in the installation program.  However, it is only if I choose the option 'connect to the hidden network' when the Wireless Manager is ran in the last step of the Installer (no network is detected the case).  The quirks are that the network is not hidden, and after Setup is complete, I can see all the wireless LANs with the Linksys Wireless Manager (no need to check the option hidden network).  After a few diagnostic tests, I think that the Network Magic software that is installed in quiet mode with the Linksys software is at the origin of the problem.

During the detailed above method that allowed me to connect to the network, I used the firewall software to observe that connectivity can be established only if nmsrvc.exe, a component of the network Network Magic/pure software platform that is installed silently, is allowed access to the network.  After this program to access the Linksys Wireless Manager network can detect networks normally and connectivity problems disappeared.  After he logged initially I can even kill the process, its assistance process and the program manager wireless, still maintain connectivity.  I also thought about this magic (AKA pure networks platform service) network installation two other network protocols that when disabled preventing connectivity.  With certainty the adapter only works if I finish the complete installation program by using the hidden network option and continue to use linksys wireless/network magic software later.

I'm trying to understand why the Network Magic software is necessary to detect and use all networks.  As I said originally, I tried just to install the drivers through the device without success Manager.  The adapter is configured on a machine Pentium 4 of 2001, and this software supports 40 MB of precious CPU cycles and memory.  I want to connect to my wireless network and use the computer without software bloated slow down the computer even more.  My own conclusion, after all these tests are that my router needs the network magic to work properly for some reason, but if that's true, I would at least use Windows connects to the network as Linksys Wireless Manager uses 30MB RAM itself.  Of course, it's more a problem advanced if I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read all this and make their contribution.  Thank you.

I think that the most appropriate statement would be that the WUSB54GC has some compatibility issues with Windows XP SP3.

Specifying the age of the available Linksys drivers I did some research and discovered that the WUSB54GCv3 uses a third party (a common practice), the Ralink RT2800UD chipset.  Latest Ralink drivers for this chipset are over a year newer than the official drivers from Linksys.  They require just a few reconfiguration so that they work with Linksys WUSB54GCv3.  With the updated drivers comes better compatibility and performance often.

Once I installed these drivers updated the device could detect local wireless normally, and I was able to use the Zero Windows wireless utility to connect to my network.  I think that others with similar compatibility problems will have the same result.  For more information and links to these pilots updated already visit reconfigured: http://sites.google.com/site/linksysupdateddrivers/.  There are not official, updated drivers for many other Linksys products here.  Credit for the drivers and the Web site goes to this person: http://sites.google.com/site/linksysupdateddrivers/about.

  • Direct networking Mac Pros, and via a switch setting

I have a Mac Pro from previous gen and will migrate to a 2013. I'll keep one older goes for FCP7 concerts that come to life.

So for the migration and the initial period of work the bugs out ("Dang?', where is the After effects plugin "AW, forget a font! "Where this stupid buy code?") I'll need to have network; I also need to buy a bunch of attachments for spinning-disk RAID, SSD, optical drive, etc. There will be a period I will access pictures and things of the old system while working on another.

So my question: the old Pro is connected to a switch and several macs are networked throughout my space. There is an additional port close to my office so I can network the pro - but it it possible/fast/sought somehow to have old mac plugged into the switch and plug the other into the free Ethernet port on the old, because they will be sitting side by side (Yes, my office will be a mess for awhile).

Basically, I was wondering if a direct connection between two Mac will be faster file transfers and allow a new access to the internet.

(I know how to add the new for the network, but still she wondered why there are two ports on Mac high range). Thanks for any thoughts.

for near-Hard Drive performance, you need a Gigabit Ethernet switch. If you do not, you must get a. It's the only acceptable way to manage the transfer of files from local computer.

Your router has no need to gigabit speeds, because your Internet connection is not likely to be faster than 100M bps. The "trick" (if it exists) is that the computer transfers to use Ethernet wiring, but they do not use the routing on the router, only direct data transfer function (switch functions ""), if a cable like that. "

There is no simple way to get faster speeds, like plug it into a computer by cable-computer.

The second Ethernet port is good for storage area network connecting, as a NAS.

Have left nmrsrc.dll and 2 files nmspce2.dll.  Tried to delete it tells me that they are protected and hidden, do not know how to display them, nothing doesn't show in Add/Remove programs and windows search can not find them.

PFure networks Platform Wizard keeps saying it has encountered a problem and needs to close, have removed the remaining files, but cannot get rid of these two.  What should do?

    Hello

To view the files in XP follow these steps:

    a. in desktop screen click Start, then Control Panel, Panel Options.

    b. click on the view tab and check the box "see the hidden files and folders" and press OK.

    c. you will now be able to see all files and folders hidden on your computer. You can do a right click on the hidden folder and uncheck the hidden box and apply the changes to display it.

See this article on how to uninstall Network magic: http://www.purenetworks.com/support/faq/13.html

If you cannot uninstall the program, contact support for Network Magic team.

Thank you very much for trying to help, find the files I had to remove, they do not delete found files in Mode safe and they deleted properly.  When I cliked show hidden and program files did not see them, Safe Mode works perfectly.  Good job!

  • Network Magic and Cisco router EA4500 UID and password

I use the 5.5.9150.0 version of the free product. I had my last router, with a WRT400N. Since then, I have installed an EA4500 router to replace the WRT400N. I'm glad that Network Magic works with my new router, but I have a problem: I can't connect to my router via Netowrk Magic.

Protection status/Wireless / Wireless Protection settings brings up a window that asks you the router user name and the password. I went to the page "Setting Up: Basics" guide of the user EA4500 (page 13) and tried all the values that I had copied in when I installed the router.

I tried the SSID of the router and the "Linksys Smart Wi - Fi Username ' in the user ID box.

I tried the "Linksys Smart WIFI password", the network, the Guest network password password and the router password (same as the network password).

Nothing has worked. I've only connected to the EA4500 using the Linksys Smart WiFi, username and password, so I'm stuck trying to figure what values to use.

Please help me understand what I am doing wrong. Thank you!

    I stumbled in the response:

    1. start Network Magic and display the network map.

    2. click on the name of the router (just under the router icon).

    3. click on Set Up or manage the device.

    4. the Linksys WiFi Smart Sign In (to the router) window appears.

5 connect to the router by using the credentials of Smart Wi - Fi that you set up when you have installed the router.

Now, all router commands will work from within Network Magic.

    :+)
