  • Moved from home office computer. Try to connect to the home network. Working Group changed now it won't let me connect you to Windows. It is the search for field. What can I do now?

My TI guy told me to do the following...

go to my computer, and then click Properties. Then go in the name of the computer from a network to a working group. I entered the name of my working group. Then it tells me to restart so I did.

Now when I try to get into windows that connect, when I enter the username and password he tells me to check and make sure that they are correct and check the field. It does give me an option to choose a domain.

It's husband's computer and I need to run quickly. Any help would be appreciated.

Note please. I am a novice user and that you will need as more detailed instructions you can give.

    Thank you

BTW - Windows XP Professional is installed on the PC.

    Not good.

When you remove a computer from a domain, and put in a workgroup, you must ensure that you have a local user account with administrative privileges created on the machine before removing the domain.  Maybe the built-in Administrator account will work, but in most domain environments, the default password [White] is replaced by a different password.  Microsoft has an article that deals with this:

"You can not connect after you remove the computer from the domain.

Your technician COMPUTER should have known this would be a problem.  If you are a novice user and you can not access the built-in Administrator account, then your best bet to get must return to the domain and have your guys IT re - join to the domain.  Make sure you have a local user with administrative privileges created before withdrawing again to the field.

Note that you normally will not have to remove a computer from a domain to make it work in a home-networking environment (working group).  You should be able to connect using the credentials cached [field] and your home network must always be visible to you.

  • Network not working do not all of a sudden.

    Hello

One day, when the closure of Windows Vista SP2, nothing don't is past he stayed on my desk and regardless of how many times I pressed close to the start menu, nothing happened. I was pressed so disabled the stop button.

The next time that I put on, networking has failed. I went to Device Manager and all my wireless devices have an error code of-31.

Also when I went to the network icon in the taskbar, it looks like:

    Connection status: unknown.

The dependency service or group was able to start.

I went back to the Device Manager and uninstalled some of my network devices, then reinstalled them via the HP Web site. Thinking it would be simple, I rebooted my computer.

Network cards work, but he always said:

    Connection status: unknown.

The dependency service or group was able to start.

On the network icon and my computer would only connect to my network home with ' limited which means no internet access or network. "

    So I already have:

    • Uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers.
    • Started in Safe Mode, where it didn't always work, with active networking.
    • Tried to connect
And it still doesn't work so I hope some of you can help please?
    Thank you.
PS It is a HP Pavilion dv6836TX and my network is definitely working because my iPod touch and computer, that I am writing about the two are connected and works perfectly.

  • Network not working not not at startup

I have a strange problem with Vista x 64 on my desktop PC. When I first start Windows, it seems that I'm not connected to a network. If I go to "Network connections" and disable my network connection then re - turn on a few seconds later, the thing finds the network and works fine until I do a complete reboot again cycle.
I had this exact problem on other machines to Vista, but I have noticed problems with laptop of a friend where they had to disable/re-enable their NIC to resolve some network problem that prevented to get online. I have several PC on the network, so I know that is not the external hardware, the origin of the problem.
Someone at - it meet this problem before and been able to fix?

  • Error - Windows cannot login because your profile cannot be loaded. Check that you are connected to the network and that your network is working properly. Unable to log-in to the guest account

Original title: problem: Guest account does not work even after activation due to profile problems.

After you activate the guest on this system account tries to log in under this account to fail with the message "Failed to load the user profile". According to the information I found online about this error, I checked HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList to see if a key exists since comments (it isn't). I also checked the Windows application log and found the following entries:

    • Windows cannot copy file C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\SqmApi\SqmData720896_00.sqm to the C:\Users\Guest\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\SqmApi\SqmData720896_00.sqm location. This error can be caused by network problems or insufficient security rights.

      DETAIL - access is denied.

    • Windows cannot find the local profile and connects you with a temporary profile. Changes to this profile will be lost when you close the session
    • Windows cannot copy file C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\SqmApi\SqmData720896_00.sqm to the C:\Users\TEMP\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\SqmApi\SqmData720896_00.sqm location. This error can be caused by network problems or insufficient security rights.

      DETAIL - access is denied.

    • Windows is unable to login because your profile cannot be loaded. Check that you are connected to the network and that your network is working properly.

RETAIL - only part of a query ReadProcessMemory or WriteProcessMemory was completed.

The path of the C:\Users\TEMP does not exist, and the sqm file specified does not deny entries in its ACL, just full control to the SYSTEM, LOCAL SERVICE, my admin account and the Administrators group.

    I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 edition.

    Christopher S. Charabaruk

    Well guys,.

The simplest solution is to read what the error.

    "Cannot copy file C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\SqmApi\SqmData720896_00.sqm"

I tried a lot of suggestion, but delete the file crazy and that's all working again.

Beter first remove windows live as well. I only have the first and received the message that something is wong with the installation.

    Hope this has been helpful.

  • network Windows 7 problem

The problem is with a computer windows 7, which worked fine until the last update (windows Defender definition) February 3, 2014.  looks of stack network OK open cmd and ipconfig and ping the router correctly. Be able to see the configuration page of the router in IE11 and Firefox, however not able to see Web pages. Verified the remote desktop and can display the server's desktop. Outlook cannot see the mail server. Turn Windows defender, windows firewall and the antivirus firewall. have manual reset for ip and DNS tcpip however no change have used netsh reset in a cmd window tried to do a system restore but it fails. the problem must be with the software were used starting in minimal mode and safe mode with networking with the same result.
Entered in the static ip address for a remote server and received a correct notification (you are not authorized to view this page) running options

    Hi Anil

The computer of windows 7 is one of the 8 on a network with a windows 2008 Server. All computers bar you can see the internet.  The router status page indicates that it works correctly. I can RDP into the server from a remote location.  The tcpip and DNS for the computer with the problem have been working with the network card, no problem device is present in System Manager. I can't do a ping of the defective computer to all others on the network. In line at the seven layers of the OSI physical and software layers work properly, looks like it's fire to the walls of IE11 and Outlook.  Checking that all firewalls is turned off. System Restore starts and fails them.

Have now resolved the issue. The last update to the computer was an update definitions for windows defender. I removed the update in safe mode with network and was able to do a system restore to the day before the problem. Windows defender is turned off and has been for many months, but this late update to the walls of the system software.

  • Network stops working after the installation of the VMware Tools on linux comments

    Hello

I m facing problem after that, sometimes, sometimes not after a comment tools and vmware linux installation.

If the installation of vmware Linux tools everything seems to work perfectly. No errors, nothing.

The last thing to do after that tools installed will run successfully is to run the following commands (produced by the message from the installation program tools)

    /etc/init.d/network stop

    rmmod pcnet32

    rmmod vmxnet

    modprobe vmxnet

    /etc/init.d/network start

This works fine as well, but after the next reboot the network stops working sometimes.

The linux guest runs under VMware Server 2 using tools VMwareTools - 2.0.0 - 122956.i386

The strange thing is that this happens all the time when install linux clients and tools.

    Guest operating system is RHEL40U5

Any help how to avoid this is much appreciate.

    Better with respect to Agent.

Why not add the commands above to the file etc/rc.d/rc.local. It will take a cae of the rest every time that you restart your virtual machine. I hope this helps...
