Network Realtek PCIe none seeing green or orange

I'm having a HP touchsmart 300-1360 pc and was working fine until after a storm of light that affected my region and cooked my router and my network card stop working and it did not appear on the Device Manager. After a few days the PCIe reatek'a went on Device Manager some how but without light active and the State. I order one from ebay. When I removed the map brocking he was always on the device manager that the card works fine when there was in fact no realtek card.

Replace it with the one I bought, but still there was no active light and the State. I downloaded a tool on the site of realtek (Realtek Ethernet Diagnostic Utility) and to the card if it says works well but still no light active or status. The only time where that the status and the light comes on, that's when running the diagnostic tool.

I did a restore factury, update the driver, clear the Cmos but still nothing.

When I run the Diagnostic Utility clear yellow active lights up and the status light will Flash 2 or 3 times and that's it.

Thanks for any help

Hello chuckiman

I suppose you also have a new router because the former was a good friend? If you plug the ethernet cable from the router to the computer, the router port light upward?

Also, what operating system are you using? I think that the problem cannot be with the new card itself but maybe a setting on the computer or something wrong with the router/cable ethernet port.

    Hello

With my HP Desktop Pavilion P6-2417eb on a 64-bit Windows 8.1 platform, I have serious problems to connect to a network or the internet. The office is connected to a router with wifi capabilities and modem broadband with wireless internet capabilities.

Several other devices (computer laptop Lan and Wifi; Android tablets; IOS Tablet; netbooks; NAS server) are connected to the network via wifi and Ethernet LAN calbe with no problems.

After a long period of crossing possible problems, I come to the conclusion that it is a problem of my dekstop PC-related equipment. In the past, a reboot of the desktop computer was enough to settle the problem, but these days it is no longer possible. This afternoon I was able to connect for 15 min and after it ended again. It was the first in a week again. I post this message with my laptop. I have 4 possible for Internet connection but no wok with this desktop computer.

The following products do not work in my desktop pc:

    • Ethernet Lan, Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
    • WiFi, Ralink RT5390R 802.1bgn Wifi adapter

What can I do? What are the solutions?

  • What is realtek pcie gbe controller family? Why, he appears NOW in my computer?

My HP desktop computer is the host of a wireless network (the guests are my HP laptop and the Mac Mini snow leopard recently added)

Just got back from Florida and now I can't find the name of my network wireless in my network screen: I now find a LAN connection and the device is Realtek pcie gbe family controller.

(my host computers are able to connect to the internet, wireless, through the network established by the name of wwwxxxyyy).

Why can't we find this wireless by name in network and sharing of the desktop (host) HP Center? What is Realtek? who makes it?
I'm SURE in this particular situation?      MAB

    Hello

As mentioned above (tetraethyle3), the RealTek is network cable from the laptop card and that it can exist in parallel for the wireless. That is, it should not be the reason why the Wireless does not work.

If your wireless network does not work, try to find out why.
    ------------
Assuming that wireless router is configured correctly, it is a signal and the wireless card on the computer is physically in.

    Maybe this can help.

These steps and tell us where is the breaking point.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg

    ------------------

The wireless card drivers much also install utility wireless of the seller.

To ensure that if there is Wireless Utility a seller is not running with the native Windows wireless utility (Service WLAN).

    ----------------

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

Some 3rd AV/Firewall/security software part, s costume keep blocking aspects of Local traffic even it they are off (disabled).

If possible set up the firewall correctly, /Security costume otherwise totally uninstall and get rid of its remaining processes that permit the own local network traffic flow.

If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

party like Hello and NetMagic 3rd network managers can block local traffic too.

    ---------------------------

Stack TCP/IP work should look like.

Right-click on the wireless network connection card, select status, details and see if she got an IP address and the rest of the settings.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/status-NIC.jpg

Description is the data of the card making.

The physical address is MAC of the card number.

The xx must be a number between 0 and 255 (all xx even number).

YY should be between 0 and 255

ZZ should be between 0 and 255 (zz all the same number.)

The date of the lease must be valid at the present time.

    * Note 1. IP that starts with 169.xxx.xxx.xxx isn't valid functional IP.

    * Note 2. There could be an IPv6 entries too. However, they are not functional for Internet or LAN traffic. They are necessary for Win 7 homegroup special configuration.

    ---------------------------------------------------

A message in the small window that says connected wireless doesn't means that you are really a valid functional connection.

Above everything is OK, you must be able to connect to the router.

Connection to the router means that you can enter the IP of the router base in an address bar in one go, being able to connect and configure the router menus see.

If it doesn't connect to the router, journal newspaper from any computer that can connect to the router wirelessly with a wire, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless SSID broadcast is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

Enable security wireless after you eat to make a functional connection.

  • No Internet! Windows 7 Realtek PCIE Ethernet (CODE 10) "device cannot start?

I have no internet connection at all. I desperately need help. I read a lot of questions on the subject up a network and running and general network issues, but none have been equalled my question. I seem to have a "Code 10" error saying that my ethernet controller "device cannot start." I'll force the uninstall and let windows reinstall them, and they do not. I have uninstall/install the force and they fail. Disable/re-inabling does not work. The RJ45 port only flashes every now and then 6 times in a row in an orange color. I don't know what to do. I am running windows 7 hp 64 bit. I have not had this problem before, and the internet worked on this machine. It seems that I booted up once and I had this problem since. I'm wired to the rear of the at & t linksys router so I don't know why it does not recognize the connection. When I leave the system to diagnose the problem, it says "RTL 8168C (P) / 8111C (P) Family PCI - E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20) knows driver or hardware related issues.»

Thanks in advance for the help.

The latest drivers from the HP website for windows 8 pro and windows 8.1 pro 64-bit drivers ralink rt3290 and lan realtek PCIe FE Family Controller appear limited in my laptop, but in the same laptop connectivity when I start in Windows Server 2008 R2, both LAN and wifi works very well.

Are there drivers available updated 2013 for these two hardware devices as dated?

Are there universal or generic drivers that can act as a workaround?

If so, please give me the URL for the same thing.

    Kind regards
    Sriram.

    Hi Steve,.

I came across similar issues where the driver manually enabled users to solve the problem. Uninstall the current network adapter drivers and manually install drivers that you previously downloaded.

    a. press Windows key + R key, type devmgmt.msc, hit the Enter key to open the Device Manager.

    b. expand network adapters, right-click on the listed network adapter and select Update driver software.

    c. click Browse my computer for driver software, click Let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computerand then click on disk.

    d. in the dialog box to install from the disc, click Browse, locate the drivers, and then click Open.

    e. follow the steps described in the DeviceName update driver software dialog box to update the driver.

Try these steps and let us know the results.

  • Realtek PCIe GBE controller family issue. Code 31

I just did an upgrade to windows 8 last night, and well, things seem to work except that I see now that my realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller is a warning symbol yellow when you view Device Manager. When I went to update the drivers it installed and then said that there was a problem updating the drivers and gave error code 31. Properties says drivers cannot be loaded and gives the same error code 31. Do not know what is this controller, but I can't seem to make it work properly. Any thoughts? Do not know why, after upgrading to windows 8 I would have this problem from the start. Also, Action Center identified a problem of communication with the modem and suggested I it reboot but I had no other problems with other devices in the House. any help is appreciated.

OK guys! Super easy solution, not as difficult as you think. I recommend to do two things at the same time as I did, but one of them (or both) has been the appropriate fix. I just do them at the same time.

1 start, all programs, accessories, System Tools, cleaning, (c) disc for me, the main drive I guess, I'm not a genius with computers by all means so that this should give you more hope. I just clicked on the temporary files, Recycle Bin, things that seemed undesirable memory unnecessarily, but I left just in case one system error logs to check the report
    2. I went to the control panel configuration, programs, and UNINSTALL THE LAST JAVA UPDATE, I remember that it was after this java update one night that I couldn't go online the next time (one or two nights after)

That's all! I rebooted and VOILA! No kidding, I have once again to the Internet!

FYE: Yes I tried the system restore, reconnected connection ethernet and power cord and a few other things I've read online. BUT IT WORKS! Apparently there was a corrupt file that I deleted during disk clean up or just uninstalled an bad Java update that turns off / disrupted the communication of my computer and its device drivers.

    Anyway, give it a try!
