We have a new deployment of ESX on UCS Mini. We can ping to the Nexus of ESX host switches, but the host cannot ping each other. We have also another plant with similar issues, but pings sporadically drop...
Please check the SW upstream that works like GW by default for this VLAN and confirm that there is only 1 entry per MAC address in the Arp table. If there is more than 1 entry per MAC check this VMware Bug.

First of all, it seems to me that if your DSL modem is a router, also. You run two routers to a string. This isn't really a good idea. He usually makes things more complicated.
I would say one of these two options in this case:
1. turn the mode DSL modem. In this mode, it functions as a normal modem, i.e. This disables the router to the DSL modem. Then configure the WRT to connect to your ISP (probably via PPPoE for which you need the user name and password).

I would recommend 1.
In addition, the network LAN IP on both sides must be different. If your desktop is running 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 you cannot run your LAN on the same network. Routing would be impossible because the computer cannot determine if an address 192.168.1.100 belongs to your network or connected network.

I have ASA configured with access lists in the transition from outside to inside, but none of the lists of access from inside to outside, because I want to allow all traffic inside out.
I believe in routed mode that I would permit same-security-traffic intra-interface. How can I get all of this in a transparent mode with out having an inside to outside access list?

You can apply an acl entry, inside which allows all (allowed an ip) and an ACL in one outside which the multicast stream, for example:

Hi all
I consider myself the best entry level when it comes to the Cisco ASA 5505, and I appreciate help or direction that someone would be able to provide regarding this question, I'll have. I'm sure there is something out there for this, but I was still not able to understand this with what I found.
We currently have our installation of infrastructure like this: modem(69.14.72.6/255.255.255.248)-> ASA (192.168.1.1)-> Switch-> hosts and Servers(192.168.0.X\24).
What I'm trying to do is to drop in a small router somewhere within this network with its own subnet and be able to communicate back him 192.168.0.X network, so it will look something like this: modem-> ASA-> Switch-> hosts and Servers(192.168.0.X\24) & hosts and Servers(192.168.1.X\24).
I will allow this traffic if all goes well, then that only have 2 interfaces configured on the SAA (0/0 and 0/1-0/5 inside) outside and without changing the configuration of the switch. A few key phrases that come to mind from my research so far are "Hair pin" and "permit same-security-traffic intra-interface". Also, I am aware of the port-forwarding and as I understand it would not as convenient to configure a rule for each device connected to the 192.168.1.X\24 network.
I hope someone can help me with this question, I've been at this for 3 weeks now.

For the route between the 2 networks, that you will need to either use a layer 3 switch or a "router on a stick".
Installation of a layer 3 switch would interrupt less to your existing network.
You are then ASA "inside" interface--> Layer 3 Distribution Switch--> 2 or more switches to access

I read your message quickly through my cell phone. I don't know why you have spent your config twice. Maybe a typo issue.
I see the acl sheep in the wrong way. I mean 192.168.254 are your pool VPN and 192.168.1.0 your local LAN.
The acl must be:
sheep - in extended access-list permit ip 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.254.0 255.255.255.0
For nat (inside), you have 2 lines:
NAT (inside) 1 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 ==> it is redundant as the 1 below does the same thing with more networks if there is inside side. You can delete it.
NAT (inside) 1 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0Why are you doing this nat (outside)?

I configured SSL VPN using AnyConnect and can establish a VPN to the ASA from the outside but once connected, I can't access internal network resources or access the internet. ASA 5510 - cannot access or ping internal networks

I can't ping of an internal network (10.1.1.0/24) to another internal network (10.1.2.0/24 and 10.1.3.0/24 and so on).
The static route is in place and his works fine. I can ping these ASA network but not workstations.

Remote vpn client can't access outside networks
I configured a remote vpn ASA 5510 the wizard remote vpn. Users are able to get the vpn connection and access the internal network; but IMPOSSIBLE to
access the outside network. (For the internal network, I want to talk about network behind the vpn to ASA, outside networks refers to society outside the ASA).
In short, the external network of the company has default route to the ROUTER1 points. The ROUTER1 has road for access network and a default route to the internet. The ASA has a default route to the ROUTER1 points. the ROUTER1 also has a route to the address of the user remote vpn refers to the ASA.
Hope it wise.
But I don't know if my nat statement is correct. below is my statement of nat, is there something obvious lack? There is no translation network here, routable internet addresses.

I have problems to access the resources within the network when connecting with the Cisco VPN client for a version of 8.4 (3) operation of the IOS Cisco ASA 5510. I tried all new NAT 8.4 orders but cannot access the network interior. I can see traffic in newspapers when ping. I can only assume I have NAT evil or it's because the inside interface of the ASA is on the 24th of the same subnet as the network interior? Please see config below, any suggestion would be appreciated. I configured a VPN site to another in this same 5510 and it works well

I have 2 ISPS. I have a VLAN internal on PIX1 unit and use isps1 to get the traffic and our main network is on 10.10.10.x. I plan to build some VPNs to all my customer to ISP2 through another unit PIX2 networks. VPNS are for remote support purposes and to connect the servers to the customer of my position. They will be on different networks other than 10.10.10.x. But I would like to access these servers VPN through my network 10.10.10.x so.
So I would like to know if it is possible to route traffic PIX1 PIX2 way 10.10.10.x unit can access customer LANs. Please notify

Well, a really simple solution would involve a router on the 10.10.10.x - router address the subnet IP routing to point to PIX2.
I assue you have no router, so PIX1 must perform this function.
Allows to assume that the PIX1 IP address 10.10.10.1 and 10.10.10.2 PIX2. For the segement LAN the default gateway is PIX1 - so all traffic will be spent in PIX1. You have static routes for remote VPN subnets pointing PIX2 PIX1. According to the PIXos version you are running, you must have same-security-traffic permit intra-interface enabled.
You will perform NAT at one point, 10/8 is fairly common and widespread.

Cannot ping internal VPN network.
I'm trying to understand why my VPN client can't ping my internal network of 192.168.0.X. For example, I can access my server via a \\192.168.0.14\Drive network drive mapping but I can't ping. I am trying to troubleshoot some phones Avaya VPN and want to ensure that I can ping the machines needed.

I'm new to ASA, can I please help with this. I managed to connect to the vpn through the mobility cisco anyconnect client, but I am unable to connect to the Internet. the allocated ip address was 172.16.1.60 and it seems OK, I thought my acl and nat is configured to allow and translate the given vpn ip pool but I'm not able to ping anything on the inside.
If anyone can share some light... There's got to be something escapes me...

I wonder if this is a test installation since you don't seem to have a dynamic PAT configured for your local network at all. Just a few static PAT and the NAT0 for VPN configurations. If it is a test configuration yet then confirmed that the device behind the ASA in the internal network has a default route pointing to the ASAs interface and if so is it properly configured?
Can you same ICMP the directly behind the ASA which is the gateway to LANs?
If you want to try ICMP interface internal to the VPN ASA then you can add this command and then try ICMP to the internal interface of the ASA
Int Management-access
As the post is a little confusing in the sense that the subject talk on the traffic doesn't work not internal to the network, while the message mentions the traffic to the Internet? I guess you meant only traffic to the local network because you use Split Tunnel VPN, which means that Internet traffic should use the VPN local Internet users while traffic to the networks specified in the ACL Tunnel Split list should be sent to the VPN.

But it is not applied in the States of nat.

Access to the external network when connected to the VPN
I have a 5505 I successfully install an IPSEC connection to. It uses NT to Active Directory authentication to authenticate. After I log in, I can access everything on the remote network (internal). I can't access anything on the internet.
Nothing behind the ASA can access internet, vpn clients that cannot come back on.
Syslog messages show buiding vpn clients to the top and down the ICMP connections if they try to do a ping to the outside, but they are not answered.
I know it's most likely a statement ACL or NAT that I am out of ideas?

Why my VPN clients cannot access network drives and resources?
I have a cisco asa 5505 configured to be a VPN gateway. I can dial using the anyconnect VPN client. The remote user is assigned an IP address to my specifications. However... The remote user cannot access network such as disks in network resources or the fax server. I've done everything I can to set the right settings NAT and ACLs, but in vain. I write my config... What is the IP address of the hosts/servers LAN Gateway?
If this is not the ASA 'inside' interface IP address then I assume that the problem with VPN is simply routing.
For example, if your hosts/servers LAN wireless LAN gateway router then the following would happen to your Clients VPN connections.
- Forms of customers login VPN users through configuring wireless routers static PAT (Port Forward) to interface "inside" ASA
- Client VPN sends traffic through the VPN to ASA and again the host of the server or LAN.
- Host/server LAN sees the connection from a network other than the LAN (192.168.202.0/24) and therefore to forward traffic to the default gateway that would likely be the wireless router.
- Wireless router has no route to the network 192.168.202.0/24 (VPN Pool) and therefore uses its default route to the external network to forward traffic.
- Client VPN host never received the traffic back as transmitted sound on the external network and abandoned by the ISP
So if the above assumption is correct, then you would at least need a configuration of the road on the wireless router that tells the device to transfer traffic to the network 192.168.202.0/24 to the 192.168.201.200 gateway IP address (which is the SAA)
