New 8600 Officejet Pro N911a. Do not receive automatic fax

Windows 7, 8600 N911a. The fax configuration is basically OK both ways and in. My answering machine has 4 rings, so I put the activation of incoming fax auto to 5 fires, as requested.

However, to test the automatic reception setting, with old enough sending my church fax machine & put my number & waiting until what starts the answering machine message & ends did not result in the fax sent to me. However, when you push the send on the Fax button, he sent it to my printer OK.

On my subscribe 9 2410 alumni, I used the same settings and it worked with its manual, saying that the signal of the fax was picked up for the duration of the answering machine message by the printer and then automatically would have sent the fax.

The problem could be the age of the machine of the Church?

8600 manual says that the message will be sent to the 5th ring, when there is not a ring 5th with a phone ring 4.

???

Thanks to everyone who commented on my problem. I finally had the time to answer the question toward the end of my description of the problem whether the great age of my church fax machine might be the problem. In my Bank today, they agreed to conduct a test on their very modern machine by sending a fax to my home phone answering machine-type.

It worked perfectly!

Thanks again.

My new HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911a does not allow a webscan on my laptop Dell Win7, which indicates on its Web page ¨that that the corresponding software is not installed".  I already tried in vain to install all software from the included cd, but did not find the corresponding software.  I was surprised to see that this cd does not start by itself, the single executable that I found was a setupxxx.exe and that did not include the scanning options.

Anyone has a suggestion to solve this?

    Hello tutoke

The Webscan must be selected in the tab of the administrator of the Embeded Web Server (EWS). See the screenshot below.

    1. Click settings
    2. Click the administrator settings
    3. Check Webscan
    4. Press on apply downstairs.

    Try to scan the image.

My new HP Officejet Pro 8600 will not scan more than 300 DPI when scanning individual photos on the glass plate. I do not use the document feeder. I use this printer wireless on an iMac and a PC.

    Hello

You can pass the value of hp scan: launch of the demand application, select the shortcut to scan (PDF or JPG to the left) and change the resolution you want and save.

This will send down the printer settings. So the next time you scan, the printer uses these settings.

    Good impression.

New Premium Officejet Pro 8600 with envelopes in Tray 1 and 8.5 x 11 in tray 2 copies only to Tray 1.  When I try to select the tray 2 in copy options, only Tray 1 appears as a choice.  How to choose tray 2 when it is not listed and do the copy default tray?

I remember coming across this question:

    1. turn off the printer and remove the lower whole and not just the tray 2.

    2. turn on, turn off,

3 replace the tray 2 and the power up.

To enable tray 2 as default copy ferry. Go to the printer->-> select copy LCD display-> select settings-> a selected tray 2 as default.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: OfficeJet Pro 8600 is no longer connects to the network

I serve my 8600 OfficeJet Pro on a local network with a wireless connection to a router. Now the printer will not connect to the router.

I can ping the printer to the router, then the wireless hardware works. I can print when it is connected with a USB cable, scanning to a USB key, so printing/scanning equipment works.

WiFi Protected setup does not work. When prompted I press the button on the router for 3 seconds, the printer who sees because I get a 'connection to the network"roundy roundy, but it times out instead to complete the connection.

The WiFi connection wizard does not work. Analysis of available networks found my network, but when I enter the password, I get a "trying to connect to the Network" roundy-roundy, followed of a message "Wireless invalid password (WPA) has come."

The printed report assures me that's the wireless works, and that the WPA password that I entered the printer does not match the configuration in the wireless router. It is wrong - it's the same password using my computer and the computer has no problem connecting. I changed the password on the router (and the computer) and tried the new password on the printer, but that does not work either.

Is there a way to erase the memory of the printer and restore the default settings that can help?

Temporarily remove the password and all the safety devices on the router. Save the settings. Now try to connect the printer to your SSID not guaranteed without password. Are you successful? If so, go back and add a WPA2-AES encryption with your password and try to log in again. Do not use WPS.

Anyone can offer any additional help please or is their real fault with it & the printer needs to be replaced

    Thank you very much

    Welcome to the @Stratford_HP forums

I read about how your new Officejet 8620 shows you a failure "Scanner", leaving you unable to copy, fax and scan. I'm here to offer my suggestion and comments for this question.

Try the steps in this guide for failures to scan first, and if the problem is still apparent, I suggest to call HP to inquire about a replacement printer.

A "Failure of the Scanner" Message appears on the all-in-one control panel and you can not scan, copy, or fax

Hello, a few minutes ago, I tried to install a brand NEW HP Officejet Pro X576dw (out of the box) for the FIRST time (it is not my FIRST printer installation!). Of course, I followed detailed procedures. When I pressed 'Start' I've seen for a very short time the first image on the screen where I have to choose the language, but before you make a choice, I get a bluescreen error mentioning C8190014 and after a second, I get a screen where all the icons are flashing and message: close and re-launch your printer.

The process of re-starting organizes not anyhting!

    Help! And thanks in advance.

Solution: you call HP support , your printer is considered DOA (dead On Arrival) , you get a credit note , return you the printer (at your own expense) , and you buy another (you pay once more transport) !

  • New OfficeJet Pro 8620 does not print PDF files

I have a brand new 8620 and I use Windows 7. My printer prints a few PDFs but not most other PDF documents. I am using Acrobat Reader XI. The printer will print from MS Office.

    HELP, please!

Hello! Welcome to the @lmel forums

I have a few ideas that come to mind, I read the issue you're having with printing of PDF files. They are here!

    1. try to resave the PDF files that do not print and then try printing again.

    2. update of Adobe:

Select help - search for updates. If a new update is available, it installs automatically.
Once installed, you can restart a computer.
Then try to print the PDF file.

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Acrobat/KB/troubleshoot-PDF-printing-Acrobat-Reader.html

    3. run the print and scan the doctor. This diagnostic tool will check for all conflicts that may be causing the problem. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there is a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results.

    4. uninstalling the printer software

    Restart the PC

Reinstall the printer: HP Officejet Pro 8620 e-all-in-One Printer series full feature software and drivers

That should do the trick! Keep me abreast of the results!

  • My blue ink in HP Officejet Pro K550 does not print, even though I tried to put in a new cartridge.

My Officejet Pro K 550 printer, has lost its ability to print blue ink, but I tried to change the cartridge. Other colours and black work well.  Can you give me any advice as to what may be wrong?

    Hi Linda,.

I found some of my colleagues who have worked on this printer. There are some things to try, however, it is not all good news.

The engineer estimated that on the print head nozzles may be clogged for 2 reasons. The first is that there is only some residue ink. Here's what he said: "perhaps you can suggest to the customer to try to remove the print head (just the print head which has cyan nozzles), use a cotton pad or damp cloth to clean the residue of ink around the nozzle. Replace the printhead, and then do the cleaning sequence that the manual says. This procedure might be able to recover some scenarios of nozzle clog, but he's going to use up little ink. »

However, it may be that air took the print head: '. '. If the print head is deprimed, that means air penetrated in a certain room after turning on which can never be purged, causing not able to sink more ink. In these cases, I think that the print head should be replaced. »

The engineer also spoke with assurance of customer, who believes that this particular product is past its end of life, which means that it is technically longer than Hp designed to operate. I know that you only had 3 years, but you want to be aware of this.
