New battery in old Macbook Air 11

Hello

I have a Macbook Air 11 mid-2012, which is coming to an end with its battery life. I was wondering if its possible to replace the battery with one of the newer versions that has the greater autonomy? Its A1465 model, some of the new States seems to be too much. So physically it must adjust or am I completely wrong?

Would be sweet to upgrade the battery in the 2013-2015 as the battery life is up to 8 hours according to their specifications.

Apple will replace the battery in your MBP with one who is exactly the same as that of the MBA came with.

If you try the third party stack walk, you run a lot of risk.  If you buy a NuPower or Anker product, you should be fine.  eBay or other sources may be highly questionable and very costly in the long term.

Ciao.

    Hey!

  • new battery but old year

I put in a new battery in my Tungsten e2 PalmPilot and receive as current year 2005. No matter what I do to try to change it for 2009, it is up to 2005. Other than that, everything works fine with the new battery. What should I do so that he can read the exact year?

Hello and welcome to the Forums of Palm.

Press the home button, then the icon prefs tap Date and time, and then set the date by moving the arrows near the current year - move them before until you get to 2009.

    Tap OK when finished.

  • New model or old MacBook Pro?

Looking to buy a MacBook. I'm old school so I'm leaning toward the version expandable screen retina-not with all ports and an optical drive. Portability and autonomy are not the determining factors in my decision. Worth the investment?

My 2011 is 6 months to be non-supported by Genius Bar (still works, but not official support).

Auto servicable don't necessarily synonymous not of easy to maintain.  The newer systems are also much faster than older models, because all the parts (CPU, RAM, bus-paths) are all the generation, if not valued at faster speeds.

I am not opposed to a new system, if I * needed * the system faster for heavy-cpu and graphics-heavy, but just don't have the need yet.

  • Migrate messages from the Macbook Air to new iMac 2012 2016

How can I migrate all my messages (text, iMessage) of my Macbook Air to my new iMac 2012 2016? I have a lot of messages on my laptop and I want to migrate them to my iMac just to have them for reference/memory later. I do this because I would like to activate the monthly updating of message on my iPhone, so he won't have to queue all my messages it years ago and I am also reformat my old Macbook Air. Is there a way to do this? Thank you!

Messages and e-mail accounts and data are found in/Home/Library/Messages/and/Home/Library/Mail/files. Just copy the content to the same folders on the new computer.

Or you can migrate your complete folder from the old computer to the new home. This can be done using the love at first sight between the two cable and on the new computer using target disk Mode use the Migration Wizard to migrate your application. It could also be run from a time Machine or another external backup drive.

Migration will not overwrite any user account that has already been created on the new computer. MY simply creates a new Admin user account name. You will then need to switch to the newly migrated account.

  • Help, please!   Nothing WORKS loading Acrobat Pro XI on the new MacBook Air

I have a new MacBook Air.  I transferred all the files of old Macbook Air, including Acrobat Pro XI.  It does not work.   I bought Acrobat Pro XI on 18 February 2015.  I still have the email and the link for the download.  The link will only now in Acrobat Pro DC.  I discovered that with the code I have for Acrobat Pro XI, I could get a free upgrade.  OK, I downloaded Acrobat Pro DC and entered my key - that should work, especially if the upgrade is free, right?  EVIL.  He said that the key is not valid.  It IS valid for XI Pro because I have it on my old MacBook Air.  I went back and found the .dmg file that I downloaded originally to install Acrobat Pro XI.  Of course, who does not work on my new computer is - says it is not valid.

Someone else in Adobe on this forum gave me links to the windows that obviously do not work on my Mac.  I simply cannot change computers?  What kind of racket is Acrobat?  Please, someone help.  I tried to solve this problem ALL DAY.

I'm just screwed?  Is this really how Acrobat treats its customers?

    Hello

Please refer to the instructions to disable the Acrobat on your previous machine in the following link:

    Enable and disable Adobe products

Use the following link for download Acrobat XI pro:

  • Try to get a new battery for A1189 for a 17 inch MacBook Pro 2008

Need a new battery for my MacBook 2008 Pr A1189, cannot find them on the Apple Store and not those who are genuine available elsewhere that I can find it, a lot of one on Amazon etc, but they are safe and reliable?

Apple stopped making batteries for these years. There are many piles of counterfeit around, showing most on auction sites, but I've seen a few reports here of them bought on Amazon.

I trust Other World Computing and they have this:

  • MacBook Air (old 2009) the Lion OS upgrade

I have an old Macbook Air 2009 running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5.  I also have a Macbook Pro, who ran the Mavericks when buying, but I've updated free in Yosemite.

I would like to know if I can rank up to my old Macbook air Lion to the Mavericks.  If not, I have a Snow Leopard drive, should I switch to that instead or it would be wiser to stick to Lion?

If you are satisfied with the MacBook Air running 10.7 performance upgrade 10.8 ( Mt Lion) are at the Apple Web site. I have provided the link. Mavericks (10.9) has a lot of memory more 10.7 and 10.8 were probably not be a good idea to upgrade to. Snow Leopard was 10.6 so would be going backwards. If your computer is too slow with 10.7 then back to 10.6, which is even less destitute of resources that 10.7 is would be a good choice. The thing to remember is that Apple is no longer provides updates for older versions of the operating system which make the computer more vulnerable to security problems.

  • MacBook Air will not recognize Micro SD disk in the format exFAT

    Hello

I have a new camera of Campark Xtreme (like a Go Pro) who uses a Micro SD disk in ex FAT format. My 3 year old MacBook Air does not recognize the disc in this format. But to reformat, I need to erase all the content on the disc. When I put the disc in the camera, the camera will not work unless I have reformat the drive for exFAT.

My computer is 10.10.5. So my husband. We have the same problem on two laptops.

    Anyone have any ideas?

The Mac can read and write to exFat without problem. The problem is probably that the card is too recent for the readers into your computers.

Fortunately, a new stand-alone USB drive which takes care of these maps is cheap.
