new cartridege 02 only half full

I have a photosmart c5180 that I am very pleased with still after all these years.  However, I recently bought 2 02 magenta cartridges.  my toolbox of the printer clear as magenta being full, but regular magenta shoes shows just a little more than 1/2 full.  is this normanl? or I have a bad?  with costaing ink nearly as much as a printer id hate to be throwing money

Thses were both the cartrideges regular sizes

Thank you

Ron

I'm sorry you have a problem with the estimated ink levels.

It's normal. When you buy a new cartridge, the printer uses a little ink in the printhead and get all correctly aligned.

It should be slightly out of 100% full. If it will be full to halfway, it can be a will.

Sometimes you can BUY cartridges half full or bad out of the box. Maybe it's not the reason for this particular incident.

  • Help! My MacbookPro is super slow (and the HD is only half full)

I'd appreciate any help as I can get before I have to spend a fortune upgrading to a SDS or increase the RAM memory.

    I have a mid-2010 Macbook Pro (2. 4 Ghz) with:

    -4 GB RAM

-500 GB HD (219 GB available)

(Please let me know if any other card would help).

My laptop is super slow, even with the most basic applications. Even if I did open and simply start Microsoft Word, it will show the wheel rotation for a good minute or so, before the opening. Of opening PDF, preview, and even changing the tabs on Firefox can match the same offset (the degree varies). Nevertheless, it is frustratingly slow, and everyone who uses my computer says this. My friends MacBook which is even older than mine doesn't have this problem.

Because I do a lot of graphic design work (using Photoshop, Lightroom and various browsers open at the same time) I was told that increase the RAM will help my problem, as would an SSD. While I understand the applications I use are eager for RAM, I can't be certain that this is my underlying problem of laptops, since even simply opening a web page is filled with serious delay (when no other application is open).

I'm also not sure if an SSD would be helpful since my HD is only half full (or empty depending on what you would look like it). This sounds like a problem with the HD cable? Or any other problem?

Thanks, I'm a novice when it comes to such things.

  • New GPU building only or full?

Sorry if this is a tired topic, but information that is older than 3 months are old for me. I was wondering if I could benefit from upgrading my graphics card only and thus hold off on a new construction for a while. My current system:

I was when I built this system of shooting HDV, but am now shooting with a 5 d Mk III DSLR and a Canon EOS C100. I save DNxHD externally on Atomos Ninja Blade.

Although this system seems pretty well balanced, I have never been able to do much more basic editing with effects in real-time of first, since anything else (as noise reducers, MB looks and effects of the red giant) pretty much paralyses reading my system, rendered, export. Even with the HDV footage, I was never satisfied with the performance. I recently updated my 2 drives 0-4 discs 16 RAID storage to RAID 0, which seems to have contributed to transfer a bit rates.

I wonder if the GTX 580 is defective.  It seems to work pretty hot slot load to 60 degrees or more, unless I pushed the fan speed to the max. I can't change GPU clocks speeds or other default settings without the display crashing. That's why I'm considering a new GPU. In any case, I intend to build or buy a new PC within a year, but it would be great if a GPU could extend the life of it.

For a new built complete, I need to know if now is the time to do so. Or, is it a new series of mother/Processor Board on the horizon that I should wait? The frustrating thing about these types of discussions of the forum, is that the information is quickly dated and obsolete.

60 c is not outside the norm for Nvidia GPU, especially the 500 series cards. The GPU is immune to the bottom of the range 80 c and will often strike up to the 1960s under load. Fan profiles may indeed that some, but that seems normal here. Synchronizing the card upward can certainly cause instability, according to the bios settings and the power supply of the system. I don't know if a 760GTX4GB could make a big difference with the effects that you list here, but that would be the card to get with this system. This system will not push the 700 series above the cards. Your limit at this point is really the CPU but that can at least you tide over until you're ready for a new system.

  • New half full cartridge

I bought the combo color/black ink for Hp Office jet pro 8600, ink cartridge number 951 approx. A month ago. At the time, I needed only one color. I keep other stored by Hp recommendations, in any case, I had installed the blue today, it's less than half full, a new cartridge.  We

took another package and tried to be as blue to make sure it wasn't the printer itself, we recorded complete. Placed another back in, said it was a little less than half full. I contacted the place where it had been purchased, they said contact Hp. The inks do not print as many pages as specified by moments, it seems that it differs from one place to another retailer.

What or can make a missing ink, I'm not complaining, stuff happens, however at $110.00 a pop for ink a month sometimes $220,00 depending on where you got it, I feel I have to ask, is it as about $30ish a cartridge.

    Hello Cooper36,

Sorry to hear about the problem of ink cartridge.

I would contact HP support directly because they are not here in the forum.

  • HP Envy H8-1549: computer doesn't recognize only half of the new Ram

    Hi all.

I took a set of ram Ripjaws X 32 gig (4 x 8).  When I install all four chips, only half of them are recognized by the Bios. If I remove two, both of which have not been recognized are visible and working in the same locations they were. It all works, but not all.

    Current configuration: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03666767

    RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231569

Everything I read on my motherboard and ram has indicated that it is compatible. I updated the Bios and erased the CMS.  I'm a bit of a loss. Am I missing something fundamental?

What is a tension problem? If so, how can I send it?

  • E709n: Ink cartridge black 920XL is half full but not printing

I finished the cleaning print head, alignment and test tools print 3 times, but only the color cartridges work, while partial black ink is not. In addition, I ran the HP tool for 'printer fix' print doctor, but that didn't fix the problem either.  I'm tempted to put a new black ink 920 XLcartridge, but I don't want to take the risk of losing another new cartridge expensive if this isn't the problem.  I am at a loss on what to do now.  Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

    Hi @TESpartan,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that your 920XL black ink cartridge is half full but not in print to your HP Officejet 6500 Wireless All-- One Printer - E709n on Windows 8.1. I'm sorry to hear that, but happy to help!

Please, take a look through this guide, the printer prints blank Page or fact not printing black or color ink for the HP Officejet 6500 all-in-One Printer Series.

If the guide does not solve your problem, then please see this post, Re: black ink does not, by @Bob_Headrick.

If neither of these solves the problem, then try a new black ink cartridge. If it still does not with the new black cartridge, then call our hotline to the 800-474-6836 to get help. not sure why a modem is responsible, unless you are short of memory ram.

in all cases, you should be able to find here: C:\Documents and Settings\ {username}-Favorites

You can click on the links directly or you can try to reinstall your browser.

  • When I try to record something, it tells me there is not enough memory, or when I change an image in paint. yet my reader/c is not even half full.

Original title: Windows Vista / on my computer HP laptop G60 gives me a hard time

When I try to record something, it tells me there is not enough memory, or when I change an image in paint. yet my reader/c is not even half full.  I also noticed that it is said that I have a recovery disk, which seems to be to store all my stuff instead of my main drive, why you get, and how can I fix this problem?

    Hi Shirleysilva,

Run the disk cleanup utility to remove unnecessary files from your system and then check if it helps. Disk Cleanup helps your computer run faster. It removes temporary files, empty the Recycle Bin, and removes a variety of file system and other items that you no longer need.

To delete files using disk cleanup, follow the steps below:

    a. open Disk Cleanup by clicking the Start button, all programs, Accessories, clicking System Toolsand then click on Disk Cleanup.

    b. in the Disk Cleanup Options dialog box, choose whether you want to clean your own files only or all files on the computer.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    c. If the Disk Cleanup: drive selection dialog box appears, select the hard disk you want to clean, and then click OK.

    d. click the Disk Cleanup tab and select the check boxes for files that you want to remove.

    e. When you are finished selecting the files you want to delete, click OK and then click on delete files to confirm the operation. Disk Cleanup on delete all unnecessary files from your computer.

  • Deskjetf2480 only half a page of printing / takes a long time to do anything

Ive got, this printer for a while now and to be honest not happy with it. Everything has started using it again and replaced the old ink cartridges. The problem is printing only half a page at a time, then pausing for centuries, then spit it out again with only half of a printed page. Its driving me crazy! Ive went through 4 hours of my life yesterday to make it work, that is to say

    (1) reset... did not work

    (2) hard reset... .didnt work

    (3) re install the drivers did not work (4 times)

    (4) cleaned the cartridges and the contacts did not always work!

Ive followed every bit of advice I could find and now 93 pieces of paper, half of my NEW missing ink, a job end im still no closer to a solution.

I'm sitting here with a piece of paper, sitting at halfway in my printer waiting a response please help me until the printer is found embedded in my wall. Thank you

It's definitely a hardware problem then.  Looks like you have tried most of the hardware standard troubleshooting steps.  Take a look at the document below, the link just to see if there is anything in it you have not yet tried.  Other than that, I have a reset, I want you to try, but I can not post the stages publicly.  I sent you a few steps via private Message.  Here is a link that will show you how to use this forum feature if you're not familiar with it.

    Troubleshooting print quality problems

  • 6500 has suddenly stopped printing black - half full cartridge - even with 2 computers

HP Office Jet 6500An running under Apple's OSX was OK, the next day asked to print (black only) and print completely white sheet.  Ink cartridge shows more than half full and seems OK. prints other colors without problems.  Situation is the same when you use another computer OSX. Have removed and replaced the same cartridge and have disconnected and reconnected the power.  Out of warranty (I think) and not worth hassle of maintenance.   Ideas - or replace?

I would like to look at this document here. It deals with bad print quality for your printer model and offers some troubleshooting steps you can take to correct the problem. It will perform various tasks and provide instructions step by step for all the actions that must be performed to try to correct this problem of printing output. I hope this helps.

  • Windows that display only half of the disk capacity

I have a new laptop HP EliteBook with Windows 7 SP1 is installed. SSD has 500 GB, but the system is only half of the disk capacity show.

What can we do?  Thank you.

CHKDSK discovered...  0 KB in bad sectors. 719099 KB in use by the system. 65536 KB occupied by the log file. 89854676 KB available on disk. 4 096 bytes in each allocation units total 60636159 the disk allocation unit. 22463669 allocation units available on disk.

Coincidentally reduce then extend the volume again?

CHKDSK is essentially a tool of file system and the capacity of the disc that you see in the Explorer disc property is actually the size of the file system rather than the physical size of the volume, the physical size of the volume is based on the head of sector, while the size of the file system is based on the number of clusters (allocation units).  The file system has a total of clusters 60636159 x 4096 bytes = 248,365,707,264 bytes.

Different size according to the different tools are both correct, but the file system is not using the entire partition, you need to extend the file system with the Diskpart tool.

At a command prompt, enter the following commands:

    C:\ > DISKPART
    DISKPART > list Volume
DISKPART > select volume c (here, you can use the figures given by the Volume of the order list or use the actual letter of the volume, in your case 'c')

    DISKPART > extend filesystem
    DISKPART > exit (exit Diskpart)

Here is a screenshot of the procedure:

The file system extension is relatively safe, but as always you should ensure that you have a good backup of your files before doing any kind of work of system disk/partition or file.

I don't see enough of the card to be able to guide me. That's happened? I used to have a map full screen. I can't seem to find this topic anywhere and am unable to find any help on my BBy.

    Thanks for any help.

  • Only half page - problem in Internet Explorer

    Hi all

I have a page being opened in my main application in a new window, almost like a popup. The page seems to be made entirely, as in the xml code is all there for the components.

The problem is that only half of the page is displayed by the browser. Halfway the window remains my page is simply cut off. You can even click around and use components that are supposed to be there, so its fully functional but half of the content is simply invisible / is not properly displayed by IE.

This "popup window" works as expected in other browsers. Also, play with the size of our panels and containers does not appear to have an effect. Have you all seen a problem like this for specifically Adf in specific browsers? How can I determine if it is manipulation of EI to part that causes this, or something else entirely?

    Appreciate any advice! Thank you.

That's the problem with the way you have laid out the component. Best way is, border with colors and see how it gets returned, which would give you an idea on what to the difficulty. Then, see if you have all your components under a stretch throw or if not a group panel layout with layout as book. Maybe this would help.

    Good luck!
