New Cisco Aironet 1602i is not broadcasting the SSID I place

  I configured the device manually, not even using quick or Express security configuration then... it's possible that I missed something.

  Anyway, here's the problem. Although the SSID is configured as 'AP1', this SSID is not among the networks available on the client computer.

  The connection configured in the group policy for the customer, should happen actually automatically, based on the SSID, but because the SSID is not broadcast, connection fails as well.

  The Aironet is among the available networks 'Other network' and if I click on "connect" I am asked to enter the SSID-> AP1

  Although fashionable, the error message displays (unable to connect to the network, or something to that effect), the laptop * fact * connect once I have close this window. Access to the network is complete and functional - I can ping other hosts, etc...

  I would post screenshots, but not knowing what parameter is missing or incorrect, I must print dozens. So here's the sh run out of the AP obtained via telnet (just below). Can someone tell me what is missing? It's a test network so all information is 'real' (nothing has changed for privacy):

• Get my F4580 to connect to my network that is not broadcasting its SSID

  Broadcast your SSID.  Not to broadcast is not a security measure.  Not at all.  It is free on the internet that can read your SSID that you stream or not.  Read more here.

  Use WPA or WPA2 (not WEP, which can also be broken with freeware) encryption with a password strong and enjoy more security and less hassle you have now.

  By default, the Cisco access point supports 16 SSID... If you want 15 SSID in werving network customers then its possible at the level of the problems... If the SSID is not broadcast, check if customers correctly enter the credentials and create a manual profile on the laptop or something... it will work.

• HP Photosmart Prem 310a went offline suddenly and will not identify the SSID to run the Network Setup Wizard.

  All of a sudden the printer has gone offline a few days ago.  Went through all the diagnostics, etc. but nothing fixed.  A solution-Assistant will not work cause it will not identify the SSID of the network that he has done since it was installed (long ago).  Have tried everything I can find online, unless I don't understand or is not quite apply and still nothing.  Wireless network works with everything except the printer. I am not very computer so I do not understand most of the letter & numbers abbreviations used here.  Help.

  It may be a heat problem - radio from the printer gets flakey when it's hot.

  We have more than 800 Cisco Aironet 1220, 1230, 1242 APs deployed in our society. I use AirMagnet to check the signal and do some job sniffers. What I've found, is that these Cisco APs do not send full device name. Say my name of the device's gw-cr-lap1242-rp4. what I can see of AirMagnet is only gw-cr-lap1242-r, the last two letters of p4 are cut. I also did the decoding. The length of the name of the HA and includes 30 bytes which is able to retain the full name, but since packets, AP sends only the name of gw-cr-lap1242-r and then fill the rest with the garbage room. It's embarrassing because we have gw-cr-lap1242-rp1,gw-cr-lap1242-rp2,... gw-cr-lap1242-rp32, etc.. I compare the MAC to locate the access point.

• the new Win7 disc replacement does not accept the case key

  Our dv6 - 2173cl end is more the boot, the "freeze" while showing the wallpaper with the taskbar 'framework' as well as the Start button, the HP logo button and the Date/time.  Defective hard drives the check HP tools with 90772-50e656-xd0021(7? wrote down in a bit of a hurry, sorry)-6ou103 error code.  Since the reader would also not 'take' the restoration attepmts (so the HP tools) we thought that a new disc has been a given.  Fast forward...  Now with the new drive in and a new Win7 install (no recovery disk, yes we know) the facility does not accept the key from the sticker on the bottom of the case and Yes Win7 is Home Premium on old and new.  So now, what do we do to get active Windows?

  I found that if you enter the key during installation and enter the key during activation of this always accepts it. Always works for me when I do a clean install of Windows 7 on client computers.

  Cisco FlexConnect 7510 does not start in the backup image. Yesterday I downloaded 8.1.102.0 on our master controller and rebooted when evertyhing was complete, the controller has not restarted in 8.1.102.0 it is stuck on the screen that says "cisco bootloader stage2 loading" I have hard reset the box with the power button and tried a couple of times. I looked at the material to break the boot with the 'ESC' key, but is not nothing to me either, even modified keyboards, comes to the white screen cisco F2 for Setup / F12 for the boot etc menu, but I'm not able to use the keyboard to enter this sequence. I have my controller to slave running 8.0.110.0 now that he's turned and took controll when the captain went to restart. For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Matt

  This happens when you connect a computer monitor directly to the WLC.  If you connected in the WLC by using the console port, you should not see this.

  Recently, we have deployed Expressway C and E managed to get MRA completely well work

  But after that we have to change the IP address from the highway E and now IM & P service and Directory works fine but telephone service does not register. Covered area is active. You have an idea about this problem? I completely blocked on this problem, I have tried everything that I could to resolve this problem. I have even done a factory reset to Expressway C and E and recreated crossing area. But the problem is always the same. Pls let me know any solution to this or how to fix it

  I don't see the REGISTER message received in newspapers Expressway-E or C-Expressway. This suggests the following options:

  (1) the Jabber client did not send it

  (2) newspapers do not capture the time that the REGISTRY has been sent

  (3) the firewall blocks tcp 5061.

  I don't see the problem report Jabber that tell us what is happening. Can you provide this after you re-create the problem?

  I want to print wireless.  I recently changed my router to a 4G one and a new internet provider.   I need to enter the SSID of the router to the printer code so that it can join the wireless network and connect to my MacBook Pro.  Initially when I bought the printer, I was able to connect wireless using a provided HP CD - this does not currently work with Mac OS X 10 El Capitan, even if I have loaded down the HP update drivers.  The printer does not have a screen to change the SSID directly so I guess I have to change sort through my Apple laptop.  I you'd be grateful if someone could help me

  Thank you access the Forums from HP Support for extra support! I see that you want to configure the printer on the new wireless network. I will do my best to help you with this problem.

  I have provided a few steps to set up the printer via an ad-hoc connection and then convert it into infrastructure. (your network) Since there is no HP software to run the wireless installation.

  Click the airport near the upper right corner on a Mac.

  Click on the HP printer in the list.

  It takes about 3 minutes to connect.

  Once you get a solid blue light on the printer, it is successfully connected.

  You will not be connected to your network for a bit while we set up the printer on the network.

  Print the configuration page to get the printer IPv4 address.

  Open your web browser, type the IPv4 address for the printer (Safari).

  This will load the Web built-in to the printer server.

  We can now configure the printer on the wireless network.

  Click on the networking, on the left side, click on Wireless, fill out your information for the network. (The network name SSID, set it to the infrastructure, enter your password and the encryption type)

  Apply the settings.

  Now back to the airport closest to the top right corner on a Mac and select the name of your network.

  Just add the network printer on Mac now.

  Click on the Apple.

  Click on System Preferences, click Print and scan icon, then click on the + sign, then select the printer from the list, click Add. (you may need to click the drop-down list to select the printer name to add it in)

  Test the printer.

  Because their device is configured to automatically search for the 1900ac router and connect, and why can't they sign?

  Since you have hidden the SSID name, you will need to manually enter the name of the SSID on devices out there it having to connect.

  FYI, hiding the SSID can see that a good not, however in most cases with scanner users still find hidden SSID names. It's an effect placebo for users.
