New e-mail window no longer opens automatically (as previously)
I've upgraded to the latest version of Thunderbird about 4 weeks back. (Don't know which version I used).
Since then the new e-mail window does not open automatically when I seek to determine the folders and decide to do a right click on a file and select: SEND TO, and then select: RECIPIENT of the MESSAGE. Thunderbird only opens, but that's all.
Other programs that is also used to automatically open the new e-mail with an attachment, window does not work either.
Previously a window writing a new Email automatically open with the file selected, attached, followed by Thunderbird opening.
How can I get this behavior again.
Went internet and downloaded a version more old 33.0 Mozzila Thunderbird.
Now the problem is solved and it works again.

My e-mail window does not open when I try to open a mail on my desk
When I click on the mail icon in the taskbar mail window won't open. If I right click on the icon, it seems that the mail is running, but the window will not appear.
There are 3 options to see if the mail is opened:
(1) do you see any point in the Dock by the Mail icon? The dot indicates whether the application is open.
(2) you can also check in the activity monitor. Open the activity monitor in Applications/Utilities. On the CPU tab you see Mail? You can enter the mail in the top search box to see if it is open. If an application has problems, you will see "Not responding" in red next to the name of the app.
(3) Finally, under the Apple in the Menu bar, select force quit. Don't you see Mail? He says not responding do not?
If the mail is opened and it crashes (not answer) do you see Mail in the Menu bar above? If so, under file select new visualizer.
If the mail is not open, go to System Preferences > accounts Internet and uncheck the email for each account. Now try to open the mail. It opens?

Windows Internet Explorer opens automatically at startup of the Facebook page
I use Windows Vista Home Premium software on a Gateway computer. For some reason any start-up, my Windows Internet Explorer is automatically upwards, and there a Web Facebook.com page already on the screen asking you to sign up for Facebook. It flashes at the bottom of my screen until I click on it. I don't want no internet will automatically launch and I want either of Facebook. How can I keep internet start automatically without my even clicking on it? Thanks for the help.
Dear Rachel,
Please, try the following steps.
(1) check that the homepage of your Internet Explorer is not "facebook.com" - could be found under Tools-> Internet Options-> general, in the section "Home Page." If you do not have "facebook.com" written there, replace it with another site that you want to load when you start your browser or with "subject: empty ' If you just want a blank window is displayed when you run your browser.
(2) on your Start menu, choose programs-> startup programs list. If "Internet Explorer" is in the list, just simply delete.
((3) if (2)) does not help, try running 'msconfig' (choose Run from the Start Menu and just type "msconfig" in the window that appears), go to "Startup" and uncheck a box near point "Windows Internet Explorer".
I hope this helps!

I had to buy a new disc for Windows 7 I have install all previous versions of Windows?
I have a C drive which is now too small, and I need to buy a hard drive much more. I am running Windows 7 64 bit (complete edition). I've been buying upgrades from Windows 2000, each new version upgrade. Is it possible to install Windows 7 without first installing all previous editions (which some may not even install on my hardware correctly, it was so long I don't remember what works and does not install). I have all the installation discs that dates back to Windows 2000 (XP Vista, then 7, then), as well as all product keys. Help is greatly appreciated.
Moving the entire image will leave you with all the dross that comes with windows-based long-standing through of many upgrades that you did
It is a bit dated, but this http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/31402-clean-install-upgrade-windows-7-version.html can help too long you understand the warning in the red zone.

Make a right click on the e-mail list no longer opens the context menu.
Hello world
Thunderbird collapsed to display the context menu on the mailing list recently. Make a right-click displays just the cross line. What is the problem could be?
Thanks anyone for any help.Win 8.1 64
Thun 31.3.0Very strange.
Make a right click on the email list should open a menu drop-down.
Usually a line crossed through something means that it is marked as deleted in an imap e-mail account.See if there is a conflict with an add-on.
Restart Thunderbird in safe mode.
Help > restart with disabled addons.then run the same test; Right click on the email list.
Do you get the drop down, if so, then one of your addons is the origin of the conflict.
You'd have to disbale each in turn to find what the problem is.
Maybe the addon should update.

Why mail windows 8 will not open a link to email a webpage like outlook express used too much mail
Why do mail window is not open when you click on a link for example to contact us. used also as outlook express.
Hello LCRT,.
You have reason, mailto: links will work as long as Mail is set as the default program for e-mail (as Steve mentioned).
However; From desktop MAPI calls will not interact with / open the Mail application.
Colin (OP) has not specified what it is by clicking on is in fact a mailto link: link. I edited my previous post for clarity and call this mailto: links are supported.

I opened the hotmail page and sign in. All messages and new messages appear as usual. When I click on any email my small twrill windows clock starts and never opens anything. Same thing if I click on the sending of new e-mail messages.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > Firefox uses the subject: Access Protocol built on: pages that you open through the bar of addresses as you open webpages.)
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe or make changes.
