  My original processor cooling fan has stopped working recently and I chose to replace it with a heat sink better while I was home. I used a Cooler Master Gemini II M4 because it was the only cooler increased capacity that would fit in my current case.

  After the installation, I got the "error: CPU fan does not, the computer now shuts down to prevent damage to the CPU." Etc... »

  My guess is that the motherboard don't like the new fan supplied with the new heat sink. The fan is bigger and I am sure that laps at a RPM lower than the stock fan. I checked my BIOS settings and do NOT have the "Hardware Monitor" section under the "Advanced" tab My BIOS is a newer level than the HP site will provide updates (mine is):

  BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. 5.09, 19/08/2009).

  Is there another way to change the speed of the fan RPM to avoid the error at startup in the BIOS?

  I am able to start the computer by using similar fan size 4 pins on the motherboard, while the proper size fan (actually mounted on the radiator) is disconnected. Even with no fan, the new radiator keeps the processor to 45 C or less through all 4 cores under load average.

  I guess I could always leave this small fan plugged into the motherboard for the BIOS to be happy and to power the CPU fan off (with an additional case fan) molex power. That would be a last option because I rather know if my CPU fan does not work...

  I understand that your new fan is not detected as work correctly by the BIOS.  The BIOS does not provide all that many options to control functions such as the speed of the fan, and it's not a way to access this function to the best of my knowledge.  I'm afraid that the workaround you mentioned may be your only option with the existing fan do not have access to this setting in the BIOS.

  You mentioned that you have connected a fan of similar size to ignore the error.  Is there a RPM higher than the fan at the top of the heat sink fan?  See the pictures here, it seems that the fan is detachable and can be replaced by the fan who works with the BIOS.  It comes as the fan who gets past the BIOS will fit the heatsink.

  You can any keyboard which has been published for the Qosmio X 500 series.
  But if you need a keyboard with a particular language provision, I recommend you contact the Toshiba authorized service partner in your country to get these compatible parts.

  I bought satellite P500-1DZ - Model - Toshiba PSPGSE in July of last year. The first 2 months were great. Since then, my fan made stronger and stronger noises. It's to the point now where just create a Web site on wix, or using any piece of software that uses the power of remote processing, the computer begins to slow down. It's like im working on a pc from the stone age. To make things worse, I bought the product in England and now live in Poland.

  This should t be a problem because you bought a European model for laptop in Europe and now you are still living in Europe. This would mean that you can contact the local authorized maintainer in Poland and seek redress. I m that guys can fix your laptop because an ASP can control all parts of Toshiba.

  Of course, you can try to fix this problem yourself but you need to know what you're doing because laptop disassembly is delicate and many parts must be removed.

  Hi, a couple of weeks ago, I asked a lot about my computer and its updates on the forum. Now I'm wondering if I need a new fan for my computer.  IM converting the HP Pavilion p7-1010 in a computer game.

  When I saw the forum until I asked and confirmed that the 6870 Sapphire Raedeon and the Corsair Builder Series 600W power supply suited my computer and would be excellent updates to level for my computer (if this declaration is not accurate, please let me know).

  Currently, besides these updates, that i'm going to but soon, that my computer has a fault completely make up and appear exactly from the list of Hp.  I now wonder if I need a fan with these upgrades to cool the system, and if so do you have any recommendations?  I looked online and got conflicting results, thank you!

  The post above mine says "in" an office not on a desk.  I saw where a PC was placed inside an office that is made for a mini-tower or slimline, only to discover that the PC during the heat.  Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.  Depends on the ventilation of the office, the ambient air temperature and the amount of heat is generated by the PC if, inside an office work.

  I have a brand new R730 DELL.  Since the time I first started the box, the beginning of fans out to what I consider normal speed, halfway through start, then for as long as the box is enabled, the fans are strong and spinning to their maximum rate 100% or about 16000 RPM.  There are 6 fans in this area.

  I have updated the BIOS to the latest firmware 2.2.25, I also updated the firmware from LifeCycleController to the last 2.40.40.40.

  Dell technician has been there twice to replace 1) all motherboard (motherboard) and the other 2) maps PCI riser (who had the button intrusion).

  The server fans still spin 100%.

  I did:

  -the flea power drain

  -the IPMI command to turn off cooling for PCIe

  -remove all memory but 1 chip in A1 and deleted 8 SSDS.

  Turning always to 100%.

  When you look at the installation of the fan to the iDRAC, I can't even set a custom value because the beach is stuck at 100-100%.

  There is no additional PCI or PCIe cards installed.

  Does anyone have an idea what is happening here.  It does not seem right that this fan run at 100% all the time.

  Looking at the configuration of the system, the server was shipped with 2 processors Intel Xeon E5-2689 V4. These processors have additional thermal requirements and so RPM fans' will operate 100% as a trade off. Based on this information, the fans run according to the needs.

• Need a new fan of cooling for my old Equium A100-207

  Hi, I need a replacement fan for my Equium A100-207
  It started making a loud humming noise - it has only started to do today but has not let up since it was started.

  I took my laptop apart to see if I could sort by cleaning and fiddling with the fan, it has certainly had an effect - not as noisy or come all too often after shoveling a load of dust compacted, but noise is such that I can't really use it somewhere else than at home and only with headphones or high and loud music to muffle the noise can certainly go near a library with her!

  So I know how to replace ok, but no where can I buy a fan in the United Kingdom saw 2nd hand those on ebay, but don't touch them - could well be as bad! Another of those that I have seen that I can't be sure if they are the correct model, I put my laptop together again (typing this top).

  Ideally, I would like to purchase via Amazon that I have some good for here, but anywhere selling the good or one that will be enough is more than welcome. Or a way to sort the loud hum another that disable the fan altogether!

  Really appreciate all the help busy sending work so applications need to use my laptop for this and for job search.

  With laptops are quite complicated to find new hardware. Desktop you can find everywhere, but for laptops, it's quite complicated so you must try to find an online store where you can order parts of equipment for mobile units.

  As far as I know Amazon doesn't sell these parts.
  Best source for this is eBay. I bought several hardware components for my books there.

  By the way: do you have anything like thisneed?

  The prices are not the same in all European countries. What you can try is to contact Toshiba service in Sarajevo. I guess one of them must be in the capital. They can tell you how much it costs.

  You can also try Googling around online and buy it. Good price, you can find it on eBay.
  You want to exchange it only?
  Without maintenance manuals, I mean that it can be quite risky.

  My fan has not broken or anything, but I wondered if anyone knew options upgrade that would allow me to mount a fan more powerful in x 870. Space issues, it is possible to get a fan that would be a size similar but run at a higher RPM, for example?

  As you know probably such material combinations are not supported and defective parts will always be exchanged with identical compatible parts.

  I hope that for you, but to be honest, I can't imagine you'll be so lucky and this info anywhere. I mean who should have this exact specification of parts.

  By curiosity, but what is the problem with your Qosmio machine? What's the reason of this review?

  Fan has been making noisy so I ordered a new and put in it, when I tried to boot it line ThinkPad screen w / vile blue button and I get two short beeps and one long beep and it stops equip old fan, it starts up fine OK, bad fan, ordered an another and same thing? I'm back w/ fan / noisy and keeping close tabs on cpu temp my T61 is 6465-cto, s/n xxxxx type 07/12 the original fan has only 7y12a for some, two fans who did not start are fru 42w2460 help!

  You simply replace the fan or the fan/radiator?

  If you replaced 15.4 "heatsink with a widescreen 14.1" radiator you should have noted an obvious difference in the parties. I'm also curious to know if you have replaced the thermal paste on the CPU and the GPU chip?

• T61p - on-site warranty just installed new fan/radiator - time of Nvidia went Up - help please

  Someone please look at the pictures below, tell me if warranty Onsite installed the fan/radiator bad for one of my five T61p units earlier today that the Nvidia chip runs a good 15 ° C warmer than before (the other time watching normal using HWMonitor v1.17).   BTW, this chip from Nvidia is a good one dated 2010 (1043A 2) and came from a previous motherboard warranty Onsite replacement thanks to the Nvidia bumping because of the failure of materials (on a machine end July 2008 08/07, no less).

  I have included photos of one of my other unit for comparison T61p fan/heatsinks (in August 2008 08/08 of the machine) and my other units from Nvidia are still with a tube of heat very different to running the Nvidia chip research more a heatsink very high above the Nvidia chip, which has a gray cushion vinyl top (see pictures).  Replacement of today appear that it may have an elbow in the naked heat tube running to the Nvidia chip.

  The technology installed also wrongly a long live in the lower left corner of the processor heat sink... I found it when I went later to remove the KB and palm rest to see why the Nvidia chip ran more hot (because screw KB was previously a long screw, but it was released as a short screw, so I thought he put a long screw inside a place where it shouldn't be).   Fortunately, I found the corner of the CPU and the swap of screws but that has not solved the Nvidia chip running more hot.

  Here is the part number of the thermal fan they sent him: 42W2823

  Could this be a fan/radiator T61 Assembly which was sent to him by mistake? That would explain a lot and can easily be corrected by a return visit in the future.

  So now my second (out of five) T61p units (unit very late July 08/07) runs once more in good time, after the good fan/radiator was installed.   The second tech stopped even without any complain for me to take a couple of pictures correctly targeted its current NVIDIA GPU... a GPU of 2010 with a 1043A 2 code a replacement motherboard Lenovo warranty in 2011 for my file date!

  In my view, that the MK8025GAS has a speed of 4200 RPM revolution while the 5400 RPM version is called the MK8026GAX.

  Check that you have installed the Device Manager. (Or check the details of the BIOS at the start).

  Hi I have read and tried all the threads on this topic. It is now 6 hours later and about 30 restarts, installs, re - install and re - re installs, oh and uninstall complete, each time turing disable firewall and anti-virus. Microsoft Paint does not either, but the printer appears in the windows fax and scan, but just crashes when you try to connect. I tried the HP printer and troubleshooting scanner recognizes the printer but when you select scan murky flat also on drivers. What else... UH I tried most of help here... so, who is up to it. Machine of Windows 7. I got a connected 6700 office jet last week worked very well at work, then bought this 6600. I thought of conflict but uninstalled all hp files and reinstalled using the hp installation package. Follow-up thread on updating and services.msc regestry. I've read about reg edit or mechanic, have used AVG reg cleaner, but disabled for installation.
