New folder in Windows Explorer is not visible until I press refresh
Hello!
If I create a new folder in Windows Explorer to a network drive (which is a DFS share) under Windows 7 Professional 32 bit, the new folder is not visible until I have press F5 (refresh). Is there a fix or a solution to this problem?
Thank you
Kampi
Hi kampi,.
You can wait for a while and do not try to rush by pressing f5, because it can take a while to showup on network drive.
To work around the problem, you can try to disable the Client of Microsoft Networks in the LAN connection properties
a. open management of network and sharing Center.
b. go to the Local network connection and click Properties.
c. clear the Client for Microsoft Networks option and check.
Hope this information is useful.

CannotCreate new folder in Windows Explorer
I am running Windows 7 Professional. When I go to Windows Explorer, I can watch all my files, but when I click on "New folder" nothing happens. I can take an existing folder, copy it and rename it by creating a new folder. I've been running this version of Windows for over a year and it worked normally until a month ago. Original title: Signature Collision?
I'm having hard to the installation of a second external drive. I use Windows 7 Ultimate RC. There was a WD 1 TB drive My Book already installed - healthy and works very well. The problem occurred after installing a second WD 1 TB my book reader. I followed all the instructions, pluuging the drive to a USB hub. Windows found the disk, installed drivers and reported the new drive ready for use.
Windows Explorer does not see the new drive. Devices and printers shows 2 external drives from WD. Disk Management shows as 2 drives, but the second disk is offline because of a 'Signature' Collision
Each player works very well if it's the only drive plugged in. "Eject My Book" does not work because a program (or more) are to use the player in the background (Windows or Norton).
I installed the latest firmware and I'm still having this problem. I've been emailing WD with this problem and they are running out of ideas.
Can anyone help?
Thank you

Why I can not create a new folder in Windows Contacts and rename it?
I keep my contacts in Windows Contacts, divided into folders named category. In the past, I was able to press the button "New folder" to create a new folder, and then rename the folder. Now, I can create a new folder, but Windows doesn't allow me the no - name. As soon as I type the name of the new folder and press ENTER, it goes back on behalf of the "new folder". Can someone explain what happened?
If possible, although I honestly don't see how the shortcut should influence. Try this, just delete your shortcut, then take the icon on the left side of the address bar of the 'work' contacts folder and drag your desktop and drop it. This example is part of a control panel, but it works the same:

Email folder in windows Explorer
I have a new pc with windows xp installed. Installing office 2003. I use outlook as my e-mail program, and it is set as the default e-mail program. When I try to send a file or folder in windows Explorer, that he insists on making mail direct fire. Why and how can I turn this off. As it is I go into outlook and attach each file individually to an e-mail message to send. It wasn't the case with my old pc running xp and office 2000.

After changing the name of a folder or a file on the desktop or by creating a new folder (and then hit enter), the folder or the text file doesn't change - until I use the Refresh command. Then, the text shows correctly and the movements of folder or a file in a place open to the top left of the screen. Before using "Refresh" the folder or the file will not open. When I save a file on the desktop is not visible until the 'Refresh' is used. Sometimes, but not always the same behavior occurs in other folders as well. I use Win XP SP3. Can someone please shed some light on this?

How can I sort a list of emails in chronological order in a folder in Windows Explorer
I copied about 20 emails from my Outlook 2010 Inbox to a folder in windows Explorer.
It's all in date order when it is in Outlook, but when they are copied to a folder, they acquired all the same date and time and therefore reodering by impossible date.
I had to open each email to get the date that I then used to rename the e-mails as in the following example:
09.09.15 - smells filename1
08.08.15 - smells filename2
03.09.15 - recD-filename3
10.07.15 - recD-filename4
What I want to do is kind of these emails according to the new file name. However, when I select sort by "name", instead of form the following list by MY date, i.e.
10.07.15 - recD-filename4
08.08.15 - smells filename2
03.09.15 - recD-filename3
09.09.15 - smells filename1
the order of the list remains more or less the same as if the date that I inserted at the beginning of the file name isn't being recognized.
If anyone can help with the material?
Thank you
Sending the files Outlook as to the Ombudsman .msg files is not a good idea. You need to send in the form of .pdf files for anyone to read. Free programs like PDF24 will generate .pdf versions.
