• New to Forums - NIC issue

  Hello everyone

  I am new to the VMware VMware community in general. So first of all Hello to everyone

  I recently build a server ESXi laboratory at home for various tests etc.

  It seems to be running, but I'm a little uncertain, I have my network card configured correctly. I use a NIC card four Dell MY-0YT674. The concept is I wish I had 2 internal, 1 DMZ and 1 external interface connected to the ESXi server which I attributed to the different VLAN switch.

  As guests, that I have a firewall running with 4 interfaces and a windows with 1 interface server, the windows server simulates a DMZ host right now. Is has an IP address on the same network as one of the firewall DMZ subnets and received the same network as the firewall DMZ map

  My problem is that when I connect a physical laptop to my transition to the same Vlan that windows server and firewall DMZ interface I can't ping the host firewall or windows laptop. Or ping the windows or firewall on the laptop computer. Pings between host windows and the firewall are all working well, so it is not a problem of modules/firewalls.

  I have attached some screenshots to show you how I setuip my server. I can be something a little silly and really hope someone might be able to point me in the right direction. Also during my process of troubleshooting, I connected the laptop to each of the interfaes card NIC 4 directly to eliminate any problem of switch configuration but still got no pings to or from the laptop.

  I would have thought that statically assigning the laptop an IP address in the same subnet as the Firewall interface and windows DMZ host that he would be able to contact the hosts when plugged into the switch.

  The switch is configured with the port which connects to vmnic2 to carry the vlan 300 and also the port I am I have the laptop to also carry vlan 300 pluggin. Both are access ports

  Hust to make sure that I understand. You say that you have configured access ports on the physical aspect? In this case the tag VLAN is deleted by the physical switch and packages will never be passed to a group of marked port. Change the physical switch port setting (make a 802 1 port with 300 q VLAN allowed) or remove the VLAN ID of the port group configuration.

• New issues of tabs

  Two questions and an observation:
  1. why the new tab icon has been eliminated? When I search I open tabs to keep track of web pages related to this topic, I am doing research.   I often work between Illustrator and Photoshop, copy lineart in PS and since I recently updated two programs, somehow I changed a setting or something has changed in the software itself.

  The steps that I "used" to take...

  1 Select lineart illustrator and copy
  2 create a new record in PS - change the resolution from 72 to 300

  3. close the new document (because the width and height would be in 72 dpi)

  4. create the document again - this time she would have saved my setting of 300 DPI and automatically adjust the pixels accordingly

  Unfortunately step 4 doesn't seem to work for me. He just stay at 72 dpi.

  Is there a setting that has changed, or is there another way to "easily" copy lineart in a new PS document at 300 DPI and the right size?

  I just wanted to report that I found a solution in case anyone else think the wrong way as if I was.

  If you change the dropdown to "pixels" in inches or centimeters, for example, and then change the resolution to 300, it will resize the jury to "Printable" size at 300 dpi.

  I had a publication almost ready to go, has worked very well and uploaded to the cloud. Then I updated the tools, builder on mac and Viewer on iPad with all latest updates (including the update January 26 and Jan. 17 Folio tools etc.) and all WHO and buttons, I had started "misbehaving." I have re-uploaded all on cloud again and I got these errors:

  -Some buttons have become "untappable" (they work fine on the Desktop Viewer)

  -J' have pop MSO box with the text which is triggered by a button - text will not appear on the iPad, but it shows on desktop viewer correctly. If I saw it, it shows too much on iPad

  -With the previous observer, the video would come before any object when it is played, including the ESM. Now, it seems to put the video in the face and cover all your buttons "play" etc.

  Can you tell me if these are planned on the workflow changes or just a mistake on the viewer of the iPad and planning be fixed?

• Old printer in new issue of system

  I have Windows 8/new laptop computer and an old printer/scanner (HP Deskjet F4200 series). I tried to install the program cd old printer on the new laptop and it says that my printer is too old for my new system. My printer is still great, and I hate having to buy a new one! Anyway around this? Drivers? Help will be really appreciated! I looked up my printer series... just install the drivers? Install the program after I installed the drivers? Thanks much for any help!

  The driver can be downloaded from HP here.  Download the driver, and after you download it, run the program.  Do not connect the printer up to be instructed by the installer.

• New issue of case... A very illogical

  I bought a new case some time and were not able to get to power, it flickers on for a second or two (turns on, the CPU fan turns briefly).

  First I thought it has problem with The headers being in the wrong order or Incompatible with the motherboard but after more experimenting I found that's not the problem. I placed the in the right places and all the headers are made of a universal standard, so its neither of those two Causes.

  I put the material in the new case but left it connected to the original case so all the new case was held the material, the headers are of the original case, so I used the power of the button to power it on but it does not always, sound almost as if him refuses to work while material that in the case of new , It works perfectly in the old, but will still be held by the new a matter connected to it.
