new hard drive for HP Pavilion all-in - One MS228sc

I need to get af new hard drive to my HP Pavilion all-in-One MS228sc I have a lot of trouble to get in touch with HP Denmark since my product is out of warranty.

My question is if the PC can handle a larger than my current on the 500 GB drive. Even more I'm not sure about other possible limits, the PC may have ini concerning speed and other parameters on a new hard drive

Since your computer is no longer under warranty, please buy a SATA2 500 GB - 2 TB 3.5 "or 3 hard drive at a local retailer or online. If the new drive is a drive AF (Advanced Format), you can have problems using the HP recovery media created you or purchased.

If this is the case, and you can still read the Windows product key of 25 characters on the COA affixed Microsoft on your computer, you can install Windows 7 using this key. Please see "how to install Windows 7 without the disc" to get instructions on how to download Windows 7, create the installation media and install Windows 7 using the product key 25 character of the COA Microsoft on your computer. This method will not install HP customizations or value-added software and you will have to manually install all necessary drivers.

Windows 7 SP1 can be found HERE and HERE. (Download the Windows 7)

My laptop is a HP Pavilion dvd6-3203TU with WIndows 7 Home Premium installed. It currently has a disk 320 GB TOSHIBA MK3265GSXX HDD in it.

After reading the forums, I am pleased to see that my recovery disks will be reinstalling everything on a new hard drive and partition a C: drive and also the recovery partition. The main issue I have is my new drive hard must it be 320 GB in size as the original or to buy something like a disk 500 GB + for the laptop. If I have to replace the hard drive that I can as will increase size while, if possible i.e..

It must also be a Toshiba or I can buy another brand?

Eager to help regarding this I thank you in advance as

    Hello

Your laptop is listed as coming with a 320 GB hard drive, but you can install just as easily a 500 GB or 750 GB HARD drive if you want more space - readers at the following links are examples that would be perfect for your laptop - you are in no way limited to a particular manufacturer.

    Hard drive 500 GB

    750 GB hard drive.

  • new hard drive for HP pavilion e9140f

My HP pavilion e9140f hard drive has failed. The SMART test informed me at first so I could save my data. I have backup recovery discs when I first bought the computer. What drive do you recommend for a replacement?

    Hello:

IMO, it would be a good replacement.

The newer model also may benefit as well. I'm not sure memory 64 MB cache.

It would be certainly nice to have if it works. Read the comments and see if anyone running them on a computer of the same age as yours.

  • Adding a new hard drive for HP Pavilion 15-E016TX

I own a HP Pavilion laptop 15-E016TX... n I was wondering if I could add an additional hard drive...?

it dosent matter if its ssd or the regular disk... I neeed jst little more space

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

There is no space for a second hard drive somehow "ordinary". There no second SATA slot as in the Pavilion 17 inch models or for a smaller drive of WSSD mSATA as in the Envy series. The only way to do it is to remove the optical drive (DVD burner) and install a second drive in an optical drive adapter device. Your laptop uses the slim type optical drive (9.5 mm) and this device would not work.

    https://www.jacobsparts.com/items/HDDBAY-02/

See Page 47 of the manual for instructions to remove the existing DVD player. It is very easy. You can exchange your façade above so that no one could say that the laptop has been changed. I almost never use my DVD burner on my laptop, anyway. But I also never fill my hard drive. You have it fills a terrabyte? You cannot unload some of them to an external drive or the cloud?

If you do, just put a hard drive into the adapter and plug it in. The seller, jacobsparts, also sells portable hard drives and would be happy, I don't know to send you both in a single shipment. Disclosure full jacobsparts is in my hometown and I bought some stuff from them years but have no interest in the company. They are good people, I can testify.

  • change the hard drive in the Pavilion all-in - one ms228

My hard drive has stopped working on my Pavillion ME 228 all in an office.   I found a replacement at a reasonable price.  I bought this computer in France a couple of years ago, it came with windows 7 family in french with a keyboard french azwerty.  Now, I have to change the hard drive is possible to put on Windows 7 'Ultimate' in English (I have the disc) and English qwerty keyboard would work on this subject?

Any advice would be really appreciated.

Yes, you can install Windows 7 Ultimate English and plug an English keyboard. It uses only a keyboard USB, right? Computers have no nationality... they will take the language of the hardware and software you install on them.

If the computer did not come with Ultimate you will need a new key Code. You can install the English version of the Windows 7 level it came with (probably Home Premium) using your own key Code.

  • I can install Windows 7 on a new hard drive for HP Envy m6 1205dx

My HP Envy m6-1205dx son is a notebook of 2013. The screen was broken and I replaced one. Now he says that there is not a BONE, I tried to install a full version of Windows 7 Professional, and he said that he there was not a boot device. I've reconfigured the BIOS to boot with the CD/DVD ROM and it started installing. When he arrives at the point of asking where to put the installation there is no option. I checked the connection to the hard drive and it is not a problem here. I think to buy a new hard drive to install the Windows 7 operating system, I am afraid that it will not work or he will say that I need to install the drivers. This laptop originally supplied with Windows 8. Can I install this version of Windows on this laptop? If I need to install the drivers how can I get them? It cannot be a website to download the drivers on your computer. I can't do without the computer having an operating system. I downloaded some drivers from a link, I saw on You Tube and put it on a flash drive, but none was consistent, one of them did read on a different/more older computer I tried to install this OS on and it says that the driver was out of date. It seems to me that a (FULL VERSION) drivers and everything else you might need. I'm not computer savvy, so I do not know! I'm just trying to save my investment of $600 on this computer without spending $300. I can get a new hard drive for $80 and it was on that I would go; However, I will buy a new Windows 8 operating system if it is the only option.

There is no device driver Windows 7 for your model, only Windows 8:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=5359748&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en

If there is no driver, your PC may not work correctly (No. LAN or WiFi, Audio, USB, etc.) after the installation of Windows 7.

Check your hard drive, if the laptop has been abandoned the drive may be defective and must be replaced.

You can order a support of HP recovery:

  • I want to add a second hard drive for my Pavilion Elite HPE 410f. Recommendations?

I want to add a second hard drive for my Pavilion Elite HPE 410f. Recommendations?  Somewhere in the 320 to 500 GB range and I want a quick unit because it will be used for rendering videos.    Thank you for your response.

    Hello

How fast is fast is the real question.

Have you looked at hybrid drives OCZ? Expensive but probably the fastest option.

Seagate also made a hybrid hard drive.  Good price... You will need a 3.5 "to 2.5" support if the player does not support.  If you install the drive in an empty optical Bay then you will need a 5.25 "to 2.5" support.

Your other choice is 7 200 or 10 000 rpm traditional hard drives.

Another option would be to add a PCI sata and two external hard dirves configured in RAID 0.

  • I installed a new hard drive for my dell Inspiron 1525 and try to install windows 7. He asks me to install the driver. How to do it

I installed a new hard drive for my dell Inspiron 1525 and try to install windows 7. He asks me to install the driver. How to do it

Using the Dell recovery disks to reinstall?

    The origonal drive failed?

If you are using a real MS win dvd during the first part of the installation it can not find a drive or ask a driver, then the driver is obtained from Dell, specific to your model, its likely the driver sata, you need to download to say a USB and then point to this file when the installation application the third-party driver.

  • New hard drive for HP6930 - BSOD when installing the OS

I recently bought a new hard drive for my HP6930 so I can switch between my work and home demands (they cannot reside on the same hardware).

Both drives are Fujitsu SATA 160 GB.

After swapping the drives and boot from CD to install the operating system - I get a BSOD, hardware failure - "the system was arrested to prevent damage...". "with a comment about the check of the hard drive.

Can anyone provide insight into what I'm doing wrong?

    Thank you

    Dave

You can integrate the drivers Sata (ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI) and burn a new cd XP with nLite .

Here is a guide showing how to integrate and here drivers Sata. 7-ZIP or Universal Extractor are good at unpacking the installer.

  • Cannot find driver for HP 2710 all-in-one anywhere that works.

I read the questions / answers on the printer drivers for my new laptop with Windows 7 and it seems that nothing is exhists for my HP 2710 all-in-one.   The driver that Windows only supports the printer, not the scanner or fax.  Many answers recommend to contact HP for the pilot, but HPs response is to use that Microsoft has in the computer.

I don't know why Microsoft Gets a complete driver for this popular all-in-one printer.  My new Mac Book in their OS and it will interface with all functions beautifully.  He finds the printer, scanner and fax and installed the flawless drivers.   Now that I bought a PC even once, it's frustrating to find that Microsoft has yet to produce a stable product compatible XP that was at least good support with software companies and hardware.   Should I really buy all new software and equipment to own a PC these days?

Just in case where you were not already in the running of it here is a link to HP described as workaround to make the scanner and fax from the HP 2710 works with the driver included in Windows 7:http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01796736&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&os=4062&product=420428&sw_lang=&key=null&site=null#N341

  • Pavilion 4070 - us: new hard drive for the recovery disks do not work! Help!

Hi - the hard drive on my Pavilion 4070 - crashed us, so I bought a replacement - a Samsung SSD 850 EVO, 256GB drive.  The problem is that I can't seem to get the recovery disks to work, and neither Microsoft nor HP is willing to help me.  Of course, Microsoft tells me they don't give me any help for Windows7 OEM versions and HP said that my product is no longer supported so they do not help me.  This is ridiculous - I own a legal copy of Windows 7 and I can't get any help from the company who sold me the computer?

What happens when I go through the process of installation with the recovery discs, is that instead of the Windows installation continue as it is supposed to, I have "no boot device - insert boot disk and press any key any."  I'm desperate, I tried two different options - one was the minimum image recovery, the other was a factory restore.  Nothing seems to work. What can I do?   Moreover, the original hard drive is not * completely * dead - I can still access most of the data on it.
