  I bought the laptop with the English version of Windows 8 in 2013 and a few days ago decided to change the default language to Spanish.

  Language Pack has been successfully installed. But when I checked for Windows 8 updates available (I subscribe) I have seen that it is necessary to install 48 new important updates.

  Regularly, I installed all necessary updates. And now, after you apply the language pack, I have to repeat all the facilities of updates once more to be up-to-date and continue with Spanish? Or I missed something during the installation of the language pack?

  Hi Sergey,

  We will first check if the 48 new important updates are already installed on the computer or not.

  To view your history of update

  1. Open Windows Update by sliding into the right edge of the screen and click on settings.
  2. Click change PC settings, and click then on update and recovery.
  3. Click view update history.

  Method 1:
  If the important updates are already installed on the computer, you can install all important updates available.

  Method 2:
  If all updates are already installed on the computer, you can reset the Windows Update components and check if there are new updates available.

• New import feature is shitty and any new version of LR crashes whenever I open it

  I guess that's the ONLY way to Adobe.   So, if this is the case... the new import System... SUCKS Big time.  It takes three or four different attempts to reach the file appropriate to your player to get my uploaded images.  Please go back to the easy way to sellct where my images.

  This latest version of LR crashes whenever I open it.  Don't know what the problem is but FIX IT!

  As mentioned by Keith, yes we are aware of the current issues with the last update of Lightroom and are currently working on this issue.

  For now, I suggest you follow the steps below:

  • Go to the Lightroom preferences > General > uncheck 'show add photos screen '.
  • Lightroom preferences > Performance > uncheck "use the graphics processor.
  • Restart Lightroom, and check if you are able to import

  Announcing Adobe folks. I know you all work hard and try the best - like us all. For now, the new import in Lightroom is not enough work for the better is it?

• Can I get rid of the new "import unified experience?

  I really don't like this new 'experience of unified import' that came out in the last update, and I'd love to get rid of and return much higher than previous import dialog.  Is this possible?

  I am aware that I can turn off the screen 'show 'add pictures' ' in general preferences.  This helps a little, but it does not restore very efficient graphical display of the destinations that we used to have.  I want to go back!

  The only way is to re - install the previous version of Lightroom.

  It might be possible that the image names are identical, this is the reason why you are not able to import images into Lightroom.

• LR 2015.2.1 cannot create new import collection

  difficulties during importation - I want to create a new collection for the images to load in, but the import screen only allows me to select an existing Collection.  The + sign that says help should be, it does not exist. It is a common problem or what can I do to fix my installation?

  Decided to restart my laptop (MacBook Pro 17 "circa 2010, 8 GB of RAM, etc.") because some functions had been very slow and reopened LR and everything is fine - import screen looks like it does on the help screen and the + sign is there.

  The new simplified import dialog is terrible; How can we get the old one back? You have destroyed the product by doing this!

  1. hold down [CTRL] when you click on the [IMPORT] library button in the grid.

  2. in preferences/general-uncheck the box "Display screen 'Add Photos'"

  Click [Select Source] top left of the screen for all locations, including a "Browse computer" option

  Click on sprocket wheel top right of the screen options and the destination folder ("Select")

  Everything is still there in the new style dialog box, if you're looking for, with the exception of-"Import duplicates", "Move", "Eject card after importing" and visible destination folders (but still available in the "Select" menu to "folder of Destination folders!)

• New import D810 problem

  Help, please? Cannot import images of the new Nikon D810, cf card, in Lightroom v4.4.  With the help of Nikon cord UPC in all ports of upc on computer (windows 7). Thumbnails appear but when importing, get the message "files are not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom."  I uninstalled the old ViewNX2 and installed new ViewNX2 provided with D810.  Also downloaded and installed the most recent Adobe DNG converter (8.7.0.309).  Device (D810) is detected by ViewNX2 but thumbnails to choose and transfer (import) do not appear. Clicking the device button results in nothing but 'turning off' the D810.  Unable to get images on the hard disk to convert to DNG and import into Lightroom.  I would prefer to just use Lightroom, because it is 2 less programs for trashing me in.  Help, please!?

  There was no use of the word "import" in my question.

  I ask you if you can COPY photos on your hard drive, using any means of OS you want, copy and paste, or drag and drop, or whatever. This is not an 'import '.

  The camera (assuming that it is connected to the computer and turned on) should appear when you double click on 'Computer' in Windows 7, just like any other disk. Then, you perform the copy.

  If you can do that, we're almost done.

  You use the Oracle BI Applications? (As you mention DAC and Informatica I suspect you have).

  If so you changed tasks any mappings Informatica, DAC or similar (IE extended or customized it)?

  If not and you use vanilla BI Apps then it easy enough to point the ETL to the new source of customers (EBS or similar) and perform a new comprehensive ETL. (I guess that both clients are running the same source and version for example Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2 otherwise its more complex!)

  Things you need to change are:

  Connections / relational Informatica Workflow.
  DAC physical data sources.

  In OBIEE, you change the pools of connections OLTP database connection details.

  Don't forget that you need to configure your networking files (tnsnames.ora for Oracle) or ODBC connections, you will need.

  To run a full load, you just need to reset data sources. (Tools-> management ETL) which will require a full charge.

  I would advise to take a full backup of everything before you start on any one of these actions.

• LR3.2 film does not correctly refresh for new imported photos

  Installed 3.2 last week and today I did my first import.

  I downloaded the camera into a subfolder of that my folder of photos as usual, then run synchronize on the photo for images folder appear in LR.

  After that everything seems as before, but...

  However, when I scroll through the thumbnails new film coming into view has no images, they are just grey.

  If I stop scrolling they vill update and display the images.

  It is, however, totally annoying because I can forget about the scroll of the images I want to take a look at because I don't know where they are.

  I have to guess and wait for the update.

  If I go back to the images that I looked before then the thumbnails are still there so once they have been updated they stay this way.

  Your messages earlier did not capture captive nor a workflow that involves copying an image from one computer to the other. If he had done while we might have provided the answer early on.

  Captive capture has its own Panel of settings and one of the options for the size of the preview. The default value is Minimal and as explained previously, this means that the thumbs will be returned only when they pass in the display (the content area or the visible part of the film). If you use a minimum you will need to run the rendering library preview > Preview menu

• some old loading new imported images do not show images

  , I work with cs4/windows.  I can't get new images to show.  What page design and import the images it shows. When the "power" publication it does not show.

  The only thing I could see as a problem would be the old server (very)?.

  There is a good chance that you see the effects of a (including a W32/Alureon rootkit) hijackware infection!

• Lightroom CC 2015 - new import screen and results

  I imported comes from images of CF (Mac, El Capitan) card.  The images seemed ok well only slightly dimmed too in the user interface, imported OK in my library, however, NO previews show - preview for totally BLACK.

  First time in 8 years of LR I had upgrade problems, Please HELP
