  It was just a possibility that heat is a problem.  Also in your games if you operate in high res\max video settings you can turn them down to smaller settings and test.

  You also mentioned that the motherboard has not yet all drivers for Windows 7.  Maybe it's that you will have this kind of problem until you get correct chipset drivers.

  This only happens on C & C4 game or with other games too?

  You should look for a patch for this game. You can find it on the site of the factory.
  Additionally, make sure that the latest version of DirectX is installed.

  Last but not least, it would be interesting to know what operating system you have.

  Trouble with all games jump on the desk. I reinstalled windows 7 two times and done all the updates and still this problem persists.

  Brand new computer

  Windows 7 64 bit

  processor - intel 2500 k

  memory - 4 GB

  nvidia ti 550 gtx - graphics card 1 GB

  I've sorted the problem out, windows 7 was not completely recorded on my pc.

  Games was minimizing to the bottom of the screen (I think its called the toolbar) and I have to click the icon on the toolbar for the game to reappear on the screen.

  I registered the windows 7 and everything seems to work fine now.

  I have read this is a common problem, but it doesn't seem to be a solution that works with everyone.

  About 10% of the screen is just a black vertical bar, as if the screen has moved to the left 3 cm

  I have tried a few techniques I've read including the change resolution to 1024, then turn on full screen, wide mode then reset the resolution... has worked a few times, but remains when it is no more to do after every restart (what a pain)

  I found the solution (no thanks to hp) for those who want their laptop to act like it's supposed to without resorting to workaround...

  which means to choose a dynamic transition and still play their favourie without black bars that blocked views

  just install this driver from HP on top and restart...

  9-inch netbooks generally have screens of 1024 x 600.  Most games have settings to choose their resolution, choose something like 800 x 600 or 1024 x 600, if they support it, and that should solve it for games that operate at full screen.

  If you talk about browser based games, unfortunately they often have a fixed resolution.  In Internet Explorer, you can go to tools-> full screen to hide the browser frame that will free up a little space, but other than that there is not a lot that can be done about it, it's an a limit to have such a low vertical resolution.   Have you noticed this problem from the beginning?

  First check if your BIOS is up to date. Updated the BIOS if the new version is available.
  In addition it would be recommended to update the display driver.

  But if two updates don't change this, then I recommend you contact an ASP in your country. It could be a hardware problem.

  Try the tips posted by Alex otherwise it of a hardware problem, in my view, there seems to be something wrong with the motherboard...

  In my opinion, everything that happens has a reason any. From your description, I think that the battery is at the end and should be replaced.

  It may be that the battery is full, but there is not enough power. I have a similar problem with Tecra 9000. Unit is also about 4 years. On battery it maybe rolls 10 minutes but after that this time he switched down suddenly.
