New laptop sticker withdrawal 7368
Hello
I would like to remove the square sticker of the left side of the touch pad without scratching the surface. This sticker is supposed to be permanent, or can it be deleted? I tried to take off in the corner, but it won't come off. I don't want to damage around the corner, if it is meant to stay put. If I have the take off, it will leave a mark?
This is a trivial question, but thank you for a response in order to not make a mistake.
Thank you.
jollyday,
You can remove the tile if you choose. to do so. If you need some advice, you can see below.
- Don't forget to do it slowly. If you rush it and try to pull everything off at the same time, you run the risk of tearing the sticker or separate the support of glue.
- Start from the edges. Use your nails, a pair of tweezers or an abrasive putty knife not abrasive. Be sure not to scratch or damage the plastic or aluminium surfaces in the process.
- Pull slowly on the tile to the edge you just started. Try to pull up using an angle between 45 and 90 degrees. Never bend the tile more than a 90-degree angle, as this will promote the separation of the support of the glue and printed documents.
Clean the surface. Some sticker residue can be rubbed off easily, while some need extra help. As always, do not scratch the surface.
- First of all, try to rub the remaining residues by hand. Several forms of glue, even when it is mixed with a piece of paper, will be curl up on itself when moved on a surface.
- Second, if friction does not help, try to use masking tape or other adhesive to remove remaining residue. Break or cut off a piece of tape, apply on the surface, then remove it. Repeat this until all residue has been removed and attached to the Strip in place.
- Third, if all previous attempts fail, use chemicals. A popular and extremely useful method is to use an acid citric-based cleaner like "Goo-Gone." This type of cleaning products will not damage metal or hard plastics, but can dry the surface of the plastic more flexible, leaving a white frosted appearance. Test first on a small area hidden. Alcohol is another liquid to try. Another is the WD-40, which will not harm the surface and can be cleaned on the surface of the computer with a dish cloth and a bit of SOAP.

Laptop HP 17-x025na: my new laptop has memory locations two or one?
Hello
I recently received my new laptop that comes with a single stick of 8 GB of SK Hynix 2133 MHz memory.
Although I don't have an immediate need, in the past, I always looked to see what an update would cost by downloading and running, say, the Crucial scanner. However, it is not displayed if there is an upgrade. It is not clear if the laptop comes with memory slots two or one.
If someone can advise, it would be great, and if someone has updated to add another 8Gb, it was easy? I want to especially take my new machine apart as much as it seems I have to take several bits for the memory unlike my laptops more alumni who were the subject of a single panel.
Thank you very much
You are the very welcome.
Yes, I'm also surprised that the Crucial Scanner does not recount this info.
I compressed upward and set free material utility Info below.
Unzip and run the file and it will let know you all the info on your PC.
On the right side of the main window of the page, there is a section of memory Modules.
Drop down on it and it should show you the slots populated.
Then then closing this window, on the left side of the window, there is a section of memory which should also show the machines and the memory slot.
You should be able to go to the Crucial site and manually find the memory you need by filling out the PC info.

I NEED HELP TO CHOOSE A NEW LAPTOP!
I recently bought a HP laptop, and in the first month, it was returned three times for problems and different issues. After countless hours talking with the staff of the it Department got the opportunity to get a new laptop. The only problem is that they do not have the same laptop I purchased available. Mine has the following: AMD Athlon 64 X 2 Dual Core processor TK-57 and 512 (1.9 GHz), 250 GB HDD, Super Multi 8 x dvd = r/rw Double layer, 4096 MB DDR2 SDRAM, Vista premium (64-bit) and everything else he HP come with. It's a dv2941se. HP wants to give me dv4t with: (32-bit), 2.0 GHz processor, 3 GB memory, 320 GB 9200 graphics card hard drive, same primary super multi 8 x, HP HDTV hybrid Tuner, a high capacity cell 6, and then all the rest of the normal devices for the computer. I need to know if it's a good thing and a fair trade. I don't know what to do! I don't like that they me downing to a 3 GB and do not allow me to get even a special edition. Help, please! I HAVE UNTIL MONDAY MORNING TO MAKE A DECISION.
The T6400 is a processor Core 2 Duo is a 64-bit processor, which is an improvement of AMD. We have a guy who post here a little which I believe can work for AMD and he can jump in and challenge me, but the Intel Core 2 Duo processor is faster at the same clock speed, cooler, quieter and has longer than AMD. 3 concerts vs 4 is not really a big deal except that now you mix a stick of 1 gig and 2 gig stick and you will lose support for memory dual channel and Vista 32-bit vs 64-bit Vista will be actually more compatible software and devices, but is a little slower than 64-bit. I think overall you did a side passage or improving slightly, however, simply by the fact you get a current generation machine. The new laptops HP dv5, dv5 dv7 series beyond the problems that plagued the series dvxxxx. And most of the problems in this series were the AMD models. You may not use 4 GB of RAM, unless you get the 64 bit version of Vista, in any case, but it is better to have 2 identical, memory sticks so that it works in dual channel so 4 gigs is better even with a 32-bit of Windows that uses only 3. Do they not have to offfer you with 4 GB of RAM? If this isn't the case, you could update these days for like $25.

Questions about upgrading or if I should just get a new laptop instead.
Good history is therefore, I soon go to the College, and they need to each student to have a laptop. Now my laptop is not exactly in the best conditions (on a scale of excellent to broken I would say it is good) and there is certainly an upgrade and repair or two.
At this moment I have a HP Pavilion 9720us the only update with 2 GB of RAM instead of 1 GB. It's also like a broken webcam.
Currently, I am convinced that I have to upgrade the video card and the motherboard but also to repair the built in webcam.
I'm not too knowledgeable in repair laptops, and I don't know what are the parts would be compatible with my laptop.
So my question is should I go for repairs or just a new laptop?
And if I should go for repairs which parts I should get and where would be a good place to get the upgrades?
A laptop with the least amount of bloat ware on it, the better _ Sony, Toshiba. HP is OK if you close all unnecessary programs running down at startup, as HP Support Assistant, HP Dock and Gadgets Windows, even if it is not an HP application he devours resources and slows down the startup time.
If you use it in the game, so no laptop is good for this, they all have an insufficient cooling, there are some that are specifically for the games, but they start at around $ 1200.00 + and those who, like of being robbed.
If you're on a budget, put an additional Stick of RAM in your old and use it with an external hard drive. Keep all your stuff to school the disk external hard and if old laptop craps out, you have lost nothing. The external hard drive can be used on any machine.
If you plan to do video editing then you need at least 4 GB of RAM with an 'i' series processor. Now, all computers will be 64-bit with at least 3 GB of RAM, but it's the bare minimum. Some of the books very small note will be always 32 bits, but they would not make a good machine for College, hard disks are too small and most of the people do not have a DVD player.
Any computer will perform simple Word document application and save images.
Only you know what you're going to do with it, and I gave you a few suggestions.

Pavilion 15 t-ak000 CTO: new laptop HP Pavilion Gaming
Just a heads up to help save other some frustrations. The new HP Pavilion Gaming laptop (model #: M0U20AV) doesn't seem to be evolving. Unlike the previous models of Pavilion 15, you can remove the bottom cover of the whole keyboard motherboard to upgrade the disk modules and memory or hard. This is not the case for this new version. The back cover when its the LCD hinges aren't seperatable. You can separate the front of the rear/keyboard by about 2 "cover after removing all the screws, including those under the battery and the cover hinges. You need to apply the pressure necessary separation "uncomfortable" to do it well.
Allows you to reach the 2 locations of memory dimm - so if you ' r brave enough to try to replace them. You will need almost three hands to do! Be warned however I tried to replace the module HP single with two G.Skill PC1600 DDR3 faster, memory sticks, who worked in a new laptop HP Envy and older models but do not work in this model. Since this is a new cpu/motherboard Skylake there is really no 3 bars of memory left there but I could find. I did research the same part of Samsung memory that came with it, but its quite expensive, so you might as well just get memory improved when the purchase of the laptop.
PLEASE NOTE: This is not a blow against HP. Its a portable game good entry level at a fair price. I just wanted to give the do it your self s valuation heads-up play to help save time and trouble.
Thanks for the video link and the quick response!
PS: The two screws from the middle to the rear under the two stickers are the ones I forgot.

I am trying to rebuild my old iTunes library (hoping to keep notes, play counts, playlists, etc.) on a new laptop of an old PC, although the only files I have to use the old are the .xml, .itl and current music files. Is this enough information to do it, and if so, how should I do?
I lost the other information by following the instructions found online of other attempts. I have unfortunately seem to have lost all that concerns my old library with the exception of the foregoing. I have been using an external hard drive to make this attempt. When iTunes opens it is empty, and when you try to import the .xml I only get playlists, although there is nothing inside of them. It would not be the end of the world for me to start all over again, I've not lost music files, but loading in my all of my old info is much, much, much more desirable. Thank you!
I'm sure that the sides are stored with the file of 80%. (wav mp3/4 whatever)---> or at least the should be!
Just install itunes.
Copy the contents of your old folder in the itunes directory and start itunes--> it will do the rest.
PS...
However, I wouldn't bother with itunes more... windows media player is pretty cool in 7, does all the same things.Personally I stick with the purchase of CD (mp3 downloads are a rip off)
'Cool' apples, however, is not it... and what would we do without our podcasts (what happened to the embedded html objects I don't know) computer nerd who serves the grannies

How to transfer data from an old laptop (broken screen) to a new laptop
How to retrieve data from an old laptop, to transfer to the new laptop. the problem is that the screen is broken on the old portable th.

The easiest way would be to put his HARD drive in a box that connects to the computer by USB.
This is just an example - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hard-Drive-Caddy-Case-Enclosure/dp/B003MVW2SM
You probably have a 2.5 HDD "because I know that all laptops do. If you need to buy an enclosure for a 2.5 drive "[not a disk 3.5" that could come from a desktop computer].
Almost all cases derive the power to drive the HARD drive to the USB itself [rather than an external power]. If you see one that needs an external power supply, then you are probably looking to the wrong thing.
You need to know if the HARD drive is IDE or SATA. It depends on the age of the computer. Your computer's manual should tell you or you can whip the HARD drive just to have a look.
- Here is an illustration of an IDE - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Generic-Toshiba-Fujitsu-Samsung-Hitachi/dp/B0042WZZD4/ref=pd_sim_147_4?ie=UTF8&dpID=21bYEH0CONL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=125C3XKTAFS54XACCCZ8 - connection if you look at the diagrams that you will see that there are long rows of pine trees coming from the HARD disk - what is FDI.
- Here are illustrations of a connection SATA - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Screw-drive-Enclosure-laptop-Laptop/dp/B003RIL0EM/ref=pd_sim_147_2?ie=UTF8&dpID=419CrJiBX9L&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=125C3XKTAFS54XACCCZ8 and http://www.amazon.co.uk/drive-Enclosure-laptop-Caddy-Laptop/dp/B00926NM8K/ref=pd_sim_147_9?ie=UTF8&dpID=31sO4aOkykL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=125C3XKTAFS54XACCCZ8 - the diagrams show the link inside that connects the HARD drive on [if it's a reflection of what sticks out from HARD drive]-you can see that the connection is a long slot in two sections to the HDD has a long protruding into two sections - which is SATA.

I am trying to transfer my files to my new laptop with Windows 7 for my old laptop with Windows XP Professional, using the Windows Easy Transfer, that I found on my old laptop. I tried to make the transfer through my home wireless network and when that did not work... I connected the two laptops with a cable (the same style of cable, used to connect his computer to a modem or router, not a cable SSB).
So in summary, I just want to transfer all my files from my old laptop to my new laptop. I copied the master file of my data from my old laptop on a "stick" assuming that I could download just to stick to the new laptop. (I have a lot of "sticks" here.) The idea did not work, of course, results otherwise wouldn't ask this question now.
If you had previously copied simply data (documents folders) via a key files should be no problem during the copying of that stick to the library on win7 locations, and is there's this which is exactly the err MSG?

New laptop / problem with Ports
Hello, I bought a hp dv6 Clubhouse yesterday and I noticed problems with the positioning of the ports.
First of all, when I inserted a USB stick in the usb port it seemed very tight and more difficult then it should have been. Second, the ethernet cord is stuck. I looked in the ports and compared them with my mother hp entertainment pc clubhouse and they seem to be at a strange angle.
I know that's not good.
However, we have a 3/4 year warranty on it.
is this a regular event? A manufacturing defect? will they be able to replace it?
If you face in fact a usability problem with the design of ethernet and USB ports, I would simply say to return it and get it exchanged. like this a brand new laptop.
Also back up all the files is installed on this laptop, perform a system restore (restore to factory settings) on the laptop before returning it to the place where you bought it.

To Mac Mail new laptop computer
Hello
Just got a new Macbook Pro and try to establish a new as a new laptop so don't want to use the wizard to migrate my old Macbook pro (running El Captain). I followed the instructions here https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7046452?searchText=moving%20mac%20mail and here http://www.macinstruct.com/node/183
When I start mac mail after this passage, he doesn't see that my iCloud account others 5 accounts (mixture of gmail, imap and exchange). Any ideas why or what I did wrong?
Thank you
Instead of trying to make a difference, why not just recreate each e-mail account and use your credentials. IMAP and Exchange accounts should repopulate themselves as they were since emails are not stored locally.
