New Macbook Pro 13 2015 - completely dimmed magsafe

Hello. I have a question/problem with the magsafe connector 2 on my brand new MacBook (see the title for the full specification). I noticed that sometimes when it is connected to my MacBook, the green light of the connector just turns off. Today, while I was working on the MB with the charger plugged, I noticed this again, but I've seen the entire process of how this happens. So the light suddenly starts dimming and eventually turns off (it takes like 10 seconds to make this whole process happen). The best way I can describe it is that it seems that the magsafe has ambient light sensor and gradation of light accordingly, so it looks exactly like the screen darkens in the dark (I know that the magsafe is obviously not a light sensor, that was just my first thought when I saw that happening). The pleasure is that OS X is actually still indicating it is plugged. I did some research and a lot of people had this problem, but all magsafe was still grayed out and not charging. In addition, my macbook is brand new (like 2 weeks), so I highly doubt that the connector might be dirty, especially because he did not leave my house again. Is this normal?

Thank you

Since your MBP is new, get it into an Apple store with the charger and tested it.  The come MBP with a warranty, so use it!

Ciao.

  • Can I use an A1436 Magsafe 45W on a Macbook Pro retina 2015?

My mother just bought a Macbook Air from 2012 and she a 45W Magsafe A1436 with her charger. I would like to know if it is OK to use it with my Macbook Pro retina 2015.

If you google Magsafe A1436, you will find some results saying it's a Magsafe 2 charger. Does this mean that I can use?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes it will work. But be aware that it will slow down the macbook a little, the power is not the same. And battery charge rate will be slower as well.

  • Install new HD/SSD MacBook Pro Mid 2015

I would like to improve my storage capacity by installing a HD or SSD. I know the SSD is much faster, but they are much harder to find and more expensive and seem less store. My main question would be, how should I go about this? What should I exactly to look for when buying a drive? I'm on a MacBook Pro mid-2015 15 inches with the retina with the 500 GB hd

You need a PCIe flash drive.  Here is a link to some who seem to be compatible:

    of http://Store.mcetech.com/mm/Merchant.Mvc?Store_Code=MTOS&Screen=CTGY&Category_Co = PCIEFLASH

Understand the installation of any non - Apple SSD will void the warranty.

  • Start again with new Macbook Pro to get iphotos?

Hello.  I just bought a new Macbook Pro.

    • MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, early 2015)
    • Yosemite 10.10.5 (14F27)

I implemented and transferred all my old information of Macbook Pro's Time Machine, which was on an external hard drive.

    • I don't know if I've used Setup Assistant or Migration Assistant
    • It took about 24 hours to pass through the automatic processes
    • Despite unacceptable all the time, everything now works like a charm and I have all my old settings.

Except that... aaah!... seven years of photos are gone from my iphoto library!  My old computer was erased and sold, so imagine my panic.

Looking at my TM backups, I think that the pictures are there, but I can't seem to them.

    • I can't copy the iphoto for my new Macbook library because it is something outrageous like GB 131 (I don't understand).
    • Import of the former library through the Photos app on my new Macbook translated "year error occurred while repairing permissions."
    • I can't do anything to the old iphoto library because I do not have the old Macbook.

I read something to the effect that there is a way in the configuration wizard for a box to check and retrieve the iphoto library.  I'm completely willing to start with the new Macbook.  I have only used it for about three weeks and don't need whatever it might be saved.

I would appreciate any advice on how to recover my photos of TM on my external hard drive.  If this notice includes restarting, please specify the EXACT measurements!

    Thank you in advance.

  • Just migrated to a new MacBook Pro and Adobe Creative Cloud is not executed.

After a migration to a new MacBook Pro, I get an alert at startup that Adobe Creative Cloud is damaged.

I downloaded the installer of creative cloud as recommended, but it stops right after that I started to run it.

The given alert is the same alert 'creative cloud is damaged"I receive at startup, with the link to download it Creative Cloud installer again.

Uninstaller won't work, as it says I have CC Applications requiring a creative cloud.

So, I'm in a bit of a loop. Given the no to join the Creative Cloud program, I can't disconnect.

Any options? I am running 10.10.4

In fact, I found this answer in another thread.

It worked for me. The key was ditching these two folders in public services:

    Quit creative cloud application.

    1)

    Navigate to Applications > utilities.

Look for a CC Adobe and Adobe Application Manager folder under utility window and trash both folders.

    2)

Click on the link below and download & run the cleaning of Adobe tool:

Select the option "Adobe Application Manager for Mac OS X 10.6" and then click on "Clean up selected."

    https://helpx.Adobe.com/content/help/en/Creative-Suite/KB/CS5-cleaner-tool-installation-PR oblems/_jcr_content/hand-Sea/accordion_container_1/accordion-nominal/accordion-point-1/agreement I on-item-par/procedure/proc_par/step_3/step_par/download/file.res/AdobeCreativeCloudCleane r Tool.zip

    3)

Click on the link below and download Adobe Application Manager and install the same.

    http://download.Adobe.com/pub/Adobe/creativesuite/CC/Mac/ApplicationManager9.0_all.dmg

Once the installation is complete, a niche will disappear.

Then open " Applications" folder and locate the launch of Adobe Application Manager icon and double-click it and update.

Then try to install applications CC and check.

  • I can restore a new Macbook Pro with a 128 MB flash usung a drive backup time Machine 1 TB?

My Macbook Pro 2009 with a 1 TB drive is dead. I bought a new Macbook Pro 13 "early 2015 with 128 MB of memory Flash.

How can I use the 1 TB time machine backup restore the new MAC?

Yes, but most likely you can not restore everything and will need to be selective about what should be restored because very probably a full restoration would take more than 100 GB and you need a free storage space so that you can not fill up the drive

  • No new Macbook Pro...?

OK, here it is... I'm still working out of my mid-2009 13 "Macbook Pro.  I love the computer and have no problems with it, except that it's a bit old and a bit slow.  I'm a graphic designer and use a higher power.  I decided to do web design as well as a video montage.  I tried initially to the 15 "Macbook Pro, until I've heard talk about an update may be just around the corner.  13 June came and went with no new Macbook Pro.  Rumor has it that the 4th quarter is a better bet for an update.

The currently available 15 "Macbook Pro is not up to form today's availability for computers not mac.   Before that I let fall $2500 +, I need some advice.  Correspond to the old 15 "Macbook Pro is worth it or should I consider other options?  I need to make a decision in the very near future.

    Thanks in advance!

    Alex

No mention of the next round of MBP to correct.

We cannot speculate, however, we know new version don't occur until Sept/Oct.

The 2015 MBP is pretty sweet on all fronts.

Visit refurb/certificate if you want to save a few bucks. Same 1 year warranty with the option to purchase the extended warranty. Open boxes, returns etc through all the diagnostic test of apples.

I had good luck out there over the years.

  • Brand New Macbook Pro - gel

Bought a new Macbook Pro on the Apple Store in Melbourne 2015, less than a week ago.

Have anything else that Microsoft Office installed on the computer but it freezes at least twice a day, although a few Safari is open.

What should I do? Having been a Mac user for more than a decade, it is quite unacceptable - isn't this one of the main reasons why we all buy Mac, because of their so-called reliability?

    Hello..

Start Safe Mode removes the system caches that can help.

Upper left corner of your screen, click on the Apple  > Shut Down.

After your Mac stops, wait 10 seconds, then press the power button.

As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key. You must press the SHIFT key as soon as possible once you hear the startup tone, but not before.

Release the SHIFT key when you see the gray Apple logo and progress indicator.

Once you are in Mode without failure, return to the menu Apple . In the drop-down list, click: reboot

    On Safe Mode

  • My Macbook pro early 2015 keeps "freezing".

    Hello fellow Macbook users,.

I have a problem with my Macbook pro early 2015, that bothers me. I've got El Capitan installed 10.11.4.

Maintaining Mac freezing randomly and soon after the touchpad turns off as well. I have no other choice than to turn it off using the power button. I can't find a model by the problem, it's just a coincidence. I am a fairly new Macbook user and I don't have that much knowledge about the product, still.

I really appreciate all the kind of help I can receive.

    Best regards

    Enes

Download and run EtreCheck, created by one of his own assistants here in CSA. It is a diagnostic tool that is very useful for us to find problems. It will also give us additional specifications on your Mac. After his execution after the logfile here. It will never contain any personal information

  • Cursor disappears and the Trackpad unresponsive liked - NEW MacBook Pro!

My MacBook Pro is now a little less than two weeks. In the first days of its use, the slider disappeared and the trackpad was totally insensitive.  The only way to make it work again was to turn it off because he has not answered either keyboard commands. I called the support, which I must say were not very useful, a left me frustrated. The first person I talked to seemed very green - not a vote of confidence!

Fast forward about 8 days later.  Exactly the same thing. Support and through his statement, tried to start in safe mode, but no go. He went immediately from the Apple to the login page.  On top of that, the person was very rude.  It has been long since I have dealt with the Apple support, and these experiences were very different from I remember.  I will communicate the headquarters to complain, but for now, my question is what to do?  This is a NEW computer, so in my opinion, probably this should not happen at all, but I wonder if this is a common problem, and if there is a fix!

My old MacBook Pro got too draggy and the processor was too outdated to handle any innovation that occurred in the last seven years, but boy, I loved this computer!  I have to deal with this issue, of course - setting or Exchange it as a failure - but in general, the new MacBook Pro suck?

Ah, I just saw that the product is 'start 2015' - quite interesting, because I bought it more than a quarter of the way in 2016!  I am really annoyed and disappointed by Apple.

  • New MacBook Pro Release - 2016

I had a PC guy since I started to use computers and a few years ago I bought an iPad and iPhone. I always wanted to buy an Apple computer, but it was too expensive. Given the quality of Apple products, and how the OSX is good, I finally want to invest money to get the new macbook pro. I use Photoshop CC and time to other Illustrator and InDesign for the current model I've been watching is the:

13 "MacBook Pro retina display with i7 processor 3.1 GHz and 16 GB of RAM.

There are rumors that Apple will release the new MBP at the WWDC conference that leaves me with some questions.

    • If I wanted to get this laptop, it would be OK to use it as my computer only for we shall say 12 hours a day? I plan on a long term, so I would really upgrade for years 4 and 5.
    • If the new MBP range announced in the June 13-18, you think it's going to be available for sale end of June in the States (that's when I'll be there and it is definitely cheaper to buy there, only in Hungary). I hope just as they don't sell in September for example... I don't know how the previous models were announced and ready to buy for customers.
    • The new range will be about the same price as the current? With the above specifications, I wrote above, it comes out around $2000.

Thank you! I can't wait to be part of the Apple family.

    1. Of course - Mac would be nice looking, but they were made to be used!
    2. We do not know when will be released new computers or when they become available. The only people who know what is not allowed to speak.
    3. We are not allowed to speculate on the future computers here. All that I can say is that in the past when Apple launches a new system based on current designs (a MBP 2015 is updated a MBP 2016 model) prices remain substantially the same, or drop. When Apple makes a major design change is unclear what will happen.

Basically, the best that we can do is say welcome and buy the computer when you need it. Even if Apple launches a new model of 2 months after your purchase (as happened to my wife when she bought his MBP in 2015 early) you will have one of the best darn computers made.

  • Old MacBook Pro of the migration to a new MacBook Pro taking of ages

HHave followed instructions with the Migration Wizard using lead Thunderbolt, but must

hhours and for the last 5 hours as indicated on a minute remaining - impossible

do something else on a MacBook in this State

This happened to me a while back and I didn't close the new computer and when I turned it on my old profile was there.

I would only if you know for SURE that you have ALL of your saved information. I wouldn't tell you to do something and then you lose data because the migration does not properly perform. In my case, the migration is complete, but it got stuck on the same screen that you see. He said he had a minute left, but it was really over. If you do not have a backup, you can just wait out a bit longer AppleCare or contact for the best solution. New computers come with 90 days of telephone support, 3 years if you have AppleCare.

Note that if you have activated the automatic login, your new MacBook Pro can log on an empty account. Simply log out of the account and see if you old account appears.
