Product: VMware management server Mirage - unable to prepare VMware Mirage Database for updating.

Later, MirageDB is removed from SQL 2012 R2. Same on Server R2 2012. Any ideas?

Yes, the user was already part of the admin groups. In any case, using even install Setup, I was able to install Mirage 5.4 with no problems. Don't know which increased with 5.3.

  • Mirage Management Server installation 5.1 - "unable to validate the permissions for this user account.

I'm installing Horizon Mirage 5.1 server on a Windows Server 2012 R2 VM management. The SQL is located on a Server R2 VM with SQL 2012 2012. We have created a Mirage service account that has permissions of db_creator on the SQL Server. When we run the installation wizard we get the "unable to validate the permissions for this user account. Unable to connect to the database. The control server name, the name and server instance parameters"error message. We tried to make the local admin of the SQL server service account and the Mirage Mgmt server. We tried you identifying as service account and by running Setup in this way. Windows Firewall is disabled on both virtual machines. When we enter the SQL Server name and the instance use < servername > without an instance because it is an unnamed instance. Does anyone have other ideas? Cannot find much out there for KB articles. I'll open evidence of the support if it takes too long to understand.

The service account, we created had a "database default" set in SQL. We chose the database and he continued as planned.

  • New vCenter Server install fails - SSO

I use a new system nested for a lab at home.  I'm under Workstation 9 with the latest version of vCenter.  I have the ms SQL all set up and verified.  The clocks are set to the same time a few seconds apart.  However, during installation when I get to vCenter single sign on Information, he returned with the error:

Incorrect entry - a command line argument is wrong, a file is not found or the spec file does not contain the required information or the clocks on the two systems are not synchronized. Check vm_ssoreg.log in the temporary folder of the system for more details.

I checked the two KB with information about this,

    http://KB.VMware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 2033875

and after the steps, I still can't pass it.  Then, I found this blog, http://blogs.vmware.com/kb/2012/09/vcenter-server-5-1-installation-fails-with-a-wrong-input-and-certificate-already-expired-error.html#.UWZSkJOThyI and reading, I get the assumption this isn't a big deal, however, I still can't complete the installation until it is fixed, at least as far as I know.

  • CP1525nw: new router: cp1525nw wifi install fails with the vague error message

    Product: HP Laserjet Pro cp1525nw

    OS: WIndows 8.1

    Hardware: Computer Asus laptop

Recently received new router from Verizon (FIOS), model FQG1100 BHR4 router

    Purchase printer in 2012.

Printer has worked with the old router; It will not communicate with the new router.

For four days I deleted the printer from the laptop several times and tried to reinstall using the wifi. Installation instructions say to run the CD, select wifi, connect the USB cable when prompted, configure, remove the cable when prompted.

When I attach the USB cable, Setup starts, but it expires ("taking too long") or fails with the vague message about not finding the product. I'm never invited to an SSID.

I tried a USB installation and it worked; If the USB cable is good.

Share print files & Windows is activated.

I tried to re - adjust the printer by default and insured menu wifi said 'ON' for the wifi.

I run a wireless network test report:

SWITCH for wireless, wireless and security.

Failure of network name (SSID found).

DO NOT RUN for: printer settings consistent with the settings of the wireless router, no filtering, connected, the signal strength, other networks detected.

    Wireless netwrorks detected: 9

I note the router label does not say "SSID", but said "ESSID".

I have ideas for what to try.

Please post here or send message to [personal information deleted]

Last night I finally got to work.  I removed the printer entirely from the PC and rebooted. I turned off the printer. I ran a cable to the router (cable modem). I have reset the router, which then assigned an IP address to the printer. I changed the security settings on the router to use WEP instead of WPA. I ran the HP printer, Setup - and he finally presented me with the screen to "provide the SSID.  The program is run properly. I printed a test page. I changed the router security to WPA2. I printed a test page.     I tried to restart it and reprinted.  I also tried to remove the cable and then print again - printing failed.

In short, I needed to do two things: connect a cable and change the router temporarily WEP for installation.

In my case, my printer is close enough to the router with the cable.  A bit disappointing that the true wireless will not work, but I can print wireless from my laptop.

I saw how many people have had the same problem, I had, and how much of HP is of any help to solve this problem.  I am convinced that the printer has a defect.  I hope that my posts will be useful to a few people having the same problem.

  • Mirage Server installation fails: the server failed to register

Quick history: the single server installation (Server 2012 R2 w / SQL Express 2012) using the version 5.5.05294 for all components. I have a dedicated domain service account and management group that has local administrator rights and I am connected using this account. I have disabled UAC completely. I've successfully installed the Mirage Management Server and the SQL database looks good. I installed the Console of Mirage as well and can connect to the server and load the license key.

Here is the error I get when you install the Mirage server:

    error1.png

It does not right 'Record VMWare Mirage to the Cluster of servers', which is located just past the step where it checks the version compatibility. If I go back to the Console, I've seen the Mirage Server installed, but gives the status of "Version mismatch". I am 100% certain that the version is the same (5.5.0.5294) and even when so far to control binary files and the SQL database to ensure that all list 05294 version:

    error2.png

As you can see, the version is the same and I have already installed the management server:

    versions.png

You look at the log of the server installation.

    Install using:

    msiexec /i INSTALLATION_PATH/l * v LOG_FILE

Open the log file and look for errors after the message, it could lead you in the right direction (post the log of the excerpts here)

Make sure that your Mirage account has the correct permissions in AD (KB 2105800 details most of them).

Also, make sure that the user has read permissions to users and computers basic UO in AD.

Is this Cause Oracle HTTP Server problem? If it means, but I installed the HTTP server on the Server Admin not on Machine B and C, because the server could not start Machine B and C.

Is this bug?. Can I use this patch for the normal weblogic instead of OAM managed server

Note: I have weblogic version 10.3.6.

This cause a major problem. Please give suggestions.

    Kind regards

    Ove.

    Hi Florent.

    My hypothesis is correct. After that I installed webtier on Machine A (Server Admin), it changes some files in the Ovdlib in the House of Middleware does level not the domain level. If the Remote Machine B and C of the Machine does not have this change so that the servers in the remote computer does not start. After that I installed the webtier on machine B and C changes that happened in the Machine B and C.Then servers managed in the Machine B and C are started... Thanks for your help;

    Kind regards

    Ove.

  • Advanced Web services addition of Weblogic for JAX - WS extending resources to new managed server

If we add a server managed additional to a weblogic domain that has been configured to support Web Services Advanced to Weblogic for the Extensions of JAX - WS in the creation of the domain, what is the right method to add the resources to the new managed server? All of these objects are created automatically when the wls_webservice_jaxws.jar is selected in the creation of the field. However, it is not possible to reuse the model to add resources to a newly added managed server.

We tried to use the wls_webservice_complete_update_utils.py to create these objects, but when this script is pointing to a single server, it seems that to create the JaxWsSafAgent and no other resource is created for the new managed server.

in the event of possible it helps someone who may have the same question, I got, I developed the following wlst script to add and configure the resources of JAX - WS Adv Svcs for a managed server newly added to an area that already has the support of the service.

  • VCenter Server installed as a virtual machine within a ESXi servers it manages?

Hi all.  I'm new in the world of VSphere... still in my evaluation period.

I have only a single ESXi server running at the moment but plans to add a second later for high availability, vmotion, increase general capacity, etc.  They are / will be ESXi running on the internal storage and the virtual machines running on a shared SAN.

Today, I installed VCenter Server 4 on a server at bottom of range/Office that I was carrying around running XP Pro x 64.

As I was installing I read the guide installation and to my surprise, it seems to recommend that I have installed VCenter Server 4 as a virtual machine on my ESXi host.

Now maybe I just spent too much time setting up my without new Lefthand requiring a 'witness' during the failover of one SAN to another... but I was under the impression that VCenter Server is not designed simply to host configuration, but is also designed to act as a 'witness' or to take account of quorum whenever a failure scenario occurred on one of my ESXi hosts.  I also noticed the VCenter Server features of a port "heartbeat", which I suppose one would use for the ESXi server heartbeat, but perhaps it is used for "connected mode" with other VCenter servers (I was intending to use only one since it is a small scale installation) I also felt that it would be useful enough to restore a damaged or shot ESXi host.

So my question is, if my ESXi host dies and it is where I have VCenter Server installed, then high availability will be unable to work?  I guess there are going to be other issues with me unable to access VCenter Server while I have an ESXi host shot, too, as a greater difficulty to get the ESXi up?

Maybe I'm wrong understand the purpose of the VCenter server... maybe it's not something that's necessary for HA, recovery, etc. and acts only as a configuration tool until something is wrong?  Or maybe I misunderstood the installation guide and they recommend only installing VCenter Server on an ESX box... they don't want this ESX box to be part of the group that manages the server?

Finally, if indeed they recommend I install this on a ESXi host manages... would I ideally be install this for local storage on the server (where I installed ESXi) or on the SAN (where all my other virtual machines are installed)... or is it just personal preference?

    Thank you!!

When you add hosts an active hemagglutinin vCenter cluster HA agent is installed on it.  This agent is what is actually the HA.  While necessary to add new hosts in a cluster and configure some specific parameters of vCenter vCenter's agents HA are self-sufficient and can handle HA failover so vCenter is offline.

You must install the vCenter VM on SAN storage, so that he can use the vMotion, sVmotion, DRS, HA, functions etc. that require a SAN.

    CAN ANYONE HELP?

    Hi Mordi26:

This could be because windows server 2003 is not updated with the latest version of the Terminal Server client. With terminal services client 6.0 update... It should solve the problem. Here is the link to download:

  • Problem with Windows Media Player: "Server execution failed" and "files needed to display video are not installed or do not work properly.

I have a problem with Windows Media Player on laptop Lenovo G780. My laptop is under warranty (bought a month ago), but technical support Lenovo told me that the Windows Media Player program is not covered by the warranty.

    And this is a problem:

When I click on Windows Media Player - to about 0.1 sec I see it opens and closes the window and nothing happens.

When I select a mp3 or wmv file and right-click with the option open with Windows Media Player - I get a message: "Server execution failed" - I checked that all services with 'Media' in the name are running.

When I select a mp3 or wmv file and right-click with the open option with Windows Media Center - Windows Media Center opens with the message: "the files needed to display video are not installed or do not work properly.

When I select a file mp3 or wmv and right-click with option open with Windows Movie Maker life - see the video

I tried to turn / WMP and WMC - did not help
Tried to run as administrator - did not help
I don't see something suspicious under events

    What can I do else?

    Thank you

    Zarek

I had the same problem and then by chance, I tried a video on YouTube and it worked for me. Here's how I went on this issue and solved my problem:

    1. go to the computer, then OS (C).
    2. you will need to open Program Files (x 86) and Program Files.
    3. go to Windows Media Player in Program Files (x 86) and open the folder.  Then, remove the wmplayer file.  You may need to work around the error TrustedInstaller.  I'll tell you that, in a moment.
    4. in Program Files, go to the same folder for Windows Media Player and select the same file again. Wmplayer.  Copy the file in another window open.  Copy ensures that if the question comes up again you can at least try to fix it again.
This should be the end of your problem.  If you need to circumvent the TrustedInstaller question is how:
    1. right click on wmplayer and select Properties > Security > advanced > owner > Edit > other users and groups.
    2. Enter your username and then click on check names.  Click OK.
    3. close the dialog boxes as he has requested.
    4. open again the properties and click Security.  Select your username from the list and click on edit.  From there, select full control.
This should give you full control over the removal of the original file for WMP and easily allow you to copy the other files (x 86) programs.
Please let me know how it goes for your problem.
