new msi motherboard

IAM havinf a problem with the locations of memory below, n ° 3 is dead, and only the module DIMM I slot shows all memory but I have 6 GB installed, I recently bought a new mother msi A55M-P33 aboard and wonder if I can install in my case, I have a Hp Pavillion Elite model # f9636f and have an AMD 9750 Quad core provessoe and Ati Radeon n 6570 Gpu can you help me?

Ok. Well, the mounting holes will likely confrontation because they tend to be the norm, but the problem, you can run where would be the range of ports. Each motherboard may have different ports or place them in a different spot on the motherboard.

Here are the specifications of the motherboard of your PC:

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01635688

I do not think that HP provided the other card mother you mentioned (MSI A55M) I could not find it on our site. But I googled this motherboard and I think it is the manual for it:

http://MSI.manualnguide.com/manual-MSI-A55M-P33

You will need to compare the presentation of the motherboard of your PC with the provision of the a55m. If all ports are the same and line up in the same place, you should be able to switch boards. But if a port is not aligned, it may not work.

  • Windows 7 does not start with the new msi motherboard

Yesterday, I bought a new motherboard, processor and 8g of ram in my computer. After all what adjustment and replacement of my old motherboard with the new, I started my computer to find that Windows 7 unbootable not. Instead of windows 7, I get the screen click on BIOS II (2). The configuration screen allows me to launch Winki but not Windows 7 because it was not found. The motherboard came with a utility disk drivers msi and AMD chipset which, when inserted in my hard disk, loads up to Winki. This version of windows 7 (Home Premium 64-bit) came pre-installed with my old mother/computer(Thus, I do not have the windows 7 installation disk) card. Is there a way I need to activate Windows 7 on my new motherboard?

    Hello

Well, you have some problems. First of all, with a new motherboard you need a new copy of Windows - not only the DVD, but a whole new product key must be purchased. It's just the terms of the license: a new motherboard is equivalent to a new computer, and each computer must have its own copy of Windows.

So where you buy your copy of Windows 7, I would make sure that it came with a DVD image. Otherwise, you can tell us which version of Windows 7 you (will) actually buy, and we can send you a link to the copy of the DVD for this version of Windows 7.

To purchase a copy of Windows 7 you can check Newegg.com, here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=windows+7&N=-1&isNodeId=1 .

I hope that answers your question.

  • DVD Player detects only not MSI Motherboard 865PE-Neo3

    Hello

I just finished one of my two friends to fix computers. One is the ASUS MB (computer) and the other Mo MSI (so there is no confusion). Note: both computers are built to order.

The ASUS I completely fixed and works 100%.

The MSI computer isn't "works properly at all. It started with the Windows XP login screen where I need the password of connection that couldn't my friend ' retireve it or knows about it, given that this computer was sitting on the shelf for a few years. Which is a Pentium 4, MSI 865PE Neo 3 motherboard.
In any case I said to my friend that the only way to reset the password is to reinstall Windows XP Pro, which I was on will do. When I inserted the OEM disc and boot of it, the dvd player was not "on the startup list, so I went the BIOS/CMOS settings to check.

In the BIOS/CMOS settings dvd player has no ' dectet at all, so I tried to manually substitute in changing a channel IDE for CD/DVD Rom, which he did not ' work.

So the next step, I thought that if I tried the dvd drive of the MSI computer which is an LG model on the Asus computer which works very well. So I tried swaping cable SATA and DVD drive which it didn't work at all on the MSI computer. Everything works on the computer, ASUS, MSI computer not a reason any.

The only thing I can think there is something wrong the MSI as the motherboard its self or is the BIOS? I am tired of searching for answers on the web and geek computer sites/forums and no response to my problem releated.

Can some tell me the problem of this situation?

    Thank you

You should use Google to look for the mb manual. It lists all the bios options and teach you how to make the necessary changes.

I also read earlier that connect the sata cd/dvd cable to the sata3 has sometimes helped in these situations. I can't testify however. Certainly won't hurt to try if...

I asked just recently one of my friends who is a Certified MS saying that the old BIOS on P4 will not detect any what sata DVD drives even if I update the BIOS. DVD players work only on the BONES of his car not on the BIOS.

I have never heard that before and I'm sure that I did it myself... So, I don't think that is correct. If the accept P4 CPU and has SATA ports, it should work. I think it's just a matter of getting the correct bios settings.

Edit: your manual not very helpful if. Based on my experience, the settings you need are likely under embedded devices.

  • A Windows 7 Upgrade disk will modernize Vista on a HP with a new generic motherboard?

My HP m8517c PC ASUS IPIBL - motherboard is dead so I replaced it with a new card by mother ASUS P5G41T-M.  When you start the HP Windows Vista Home Premium fails because it has HP drivers only for the original mobo...  If I buy a Windows 7 home Premium Upgrade it will modernize the HP Vista?

N ° you need a copy of the full license of Windows 7.  Upgrade license requires a genuine copy of Windows to upgrade.  Your OEM copy is invalid (not genuine) on a retail mobo.  However, the driver problem is another matter.  The motherboard manufacturer provides drivers that you need for the new mobo.  Download the drivers from the site of the mfg, not HP.

If you buy a copy of the full license of Windows 7, you can perform an upgrade in-place depending on which edition of Vista you're using and what edition of Windows 7 that you buy.  Please see the information on the Microsoft Store website to see if you need to do an upgrade installation or a custom installation.  Anyway you will always need a license product key full.

  • If I buy a new card motherboard but plan to keep the same HARD drive, what happens when I reinstall a new copy of Windows 7?

I have an OEM of Windows 7 version, so when I buy a new motherboard I intend to buy another copy of Windows 7. What will happen if I use the same hard drive?

Depending on the options you choose during installation. If you start from the installation DVD, you can only do an install custom, which means that your applications and hardware drivers will have to be resettled.

  • Will new motherboard take new windows

Hi just a quick question, can someone tell me if I need to reinstall windows on my hard drive again {windows vista family 32-bit premium updated} as my motherboard is dead and I would like to replace it with a new {old motherboard asus M2N 677 mhz ram 2 gig/new motherboard asus m4a77t am3 with 2 gigabytes of ram 1333 mhz will be the need for a new copy of windows or I can use the} to level just by reinstalling on top too did I lose my games on the hard drive by doing this, as I have on 160gig hard disk games

In the case of a most important hardware swap like this, a relocation is always recommended.  Any other course of action can leave orphans behind, drivers not load the necessary drivers and cause system instability.

  • Install vista on a new motherboard

Hello, I'm going to install a new cpu/motherboard in a few days, but I bought vista service sp1 microsoft digital locker that is now gone, but I never had the chance to make a dvd of it. Is - this from there anyway I did not reinstall windows when I put in the new motherboard? If I have to reinstall I can get a replacement cd or make my own? I have my product id, one who is under the properties of my computer, but it doesn't have the key number 25 just an id number 20. Please help me.

If you borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • Don't have a motherboard - > new motherboard + upgrade version of Vista problems ==

My Asus motehrboard failed. I replaced it today, but of course the new Asus motherboard has all different chipsets etc.. I tried to start the original installation in safe mode, but it crashes after he tries to load a file sys (diskcrc.sys memory).

Ok. I was expecting that. Perform a new installation. However, my copy of Vista Home Premium is an upgrade version. When I try to install it, he insists on the fact that I do after the start of my existing operating system, which is down.

    Now, I'm in a catch-22.

    Any thoughts?

You can not legally do a clean install with an upgrade/license disc.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a set of operating system recovery disk/s original.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

Then install the original operating system > upgrade to Vista.

In the hope of a quick and helpful answer

The upgrade of the motherboard will probably involve using a card mother type detail who will accept to install the material in the present.  Look for the one who is more recent that can support the PCI-E 3.0 specifications and still support the Intel Sandy Bridge processors and up to 12 GB DDR3-1333-PC3-10600 MB/sec memory.

You can read THIS ARTICLE on motherboards that support the Sandy Bridge processors.

Also remember that the OEM of Windows 7 installation will not transfer, so it will need a new license key.
