  I made the updates for the first time to my laptop T60 - some directly from the Lenovo Web site and other tool ThinkVantage (which I've also just updated!).   And it seems that at each update, or some of them, the desktop becomes cluttered with icons.  They seem related to updates.

  And you can only imagine how many updates have been made if I didn't all over the years for the T60.

  Is this correct and safe delete desktop icons?  I don't want to delete actual updates of my system, however.

  It is difficult to be sure because this screenshot has been drastically reduced in size, but looks like you have your system set to download everything on your desktop if all updates are on your desktop now. Once installed, you probably don't need them, but before you remove, I would move them to another folder. If one of these files were actually needed and installed in your office, then you would end up with error messages, or that something works do not. If after moving, them and all seems ok, it's probably OK to delete, but do so at your own risk.

  It is possible that there is a problem with Adobe Flash player specifically. Have you tried to watch videos with other browsers?

  As a warning, I tried to find a safe place to download the 12.0.0.77 version, but I couldn't find one without risk. Be careful if you decide to go this route. Make sure you have at least some form of antivirus and firewall before you try this.

  Apparently this problem with Adobe took place April 8 this year, so it's fairly new. In addition, apparently Chrome uses an integrated in flash player which does not have this plug-in. If really you need or want to watch videos, and it is a problem with Adobe, you can use Chrome for now.

  We intend to deploy an update to Firefox on our campus. The question I have is this: after the update, the "compatibility of the add-on Checker" appears, then the 'What's new' page appears during the first boot after the update. In this case: we use Deep Freeze to prevent kids to do any mischief based on software on the machines. But if we push the update at night, during maintenance windows, they will be frozen in the pre-first-time-run mode. So, whenever a student starts the PC after that, they will get the popup of compatibility both the "What's new" page

  Is there a way I can disable that during the upgrade, so that students will not have to click on these 2 points away? I would like for Firefox just silently disable incompatible modules and do not display the page "news". I found ways to do it, but they involve editing omni.jar and others.   Well, eventually nothing worked, except all the settings I wanted to put in part of mozilla.cfg. When I added your suggestion, and one I found on the web to disable add-on compatibility check, I finally have a Firefox that loads directly to the homepage, even after the upgrade.

  Here's what my mozilla.cfg file contains (to 6.0.2):

• Why every new page I do suddenly appear in a website has become a popup? It's something new and a major PITA!

  It was that, when I clicked on a link in a Web page, a new page opens. Now, since the last update, nothing happens... THEN I see at the top of the page that Firefox has blocked a "popup". But these aren't popups, they asked new pages! To see them, I now allow all popups on almost all sites, which totally destroyed the value of the trainer because it allows pop up windows!

  I appreciate your efforts to protect us, but in fixing things that were not broken, you broke them.

  So please tell me how I can substitute your hotfixes without having to deal with 'em, whenever I click on a link in a Web site!

  (You also made it almost impossible to use any program that requires Java, but that's a topic for another thread!)

  Normally, the Blocker allows the actions triggered by the user. Certainly if you click on a link, it should not be blocked, unless there is something very strange about the link (for example, it is not a normal link but runs a very unusual script).

  Is it possible that you have installed an extension that changes how popup works block - or who joined popups to links? You can review and configure, disable, or remove extensions here:

  Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category

  Typically, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

  Alternately, you could test mode without failure of Firefox. It is a standard diagnostic tool in order to avoid interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

  Where is the index.html page for the site that was already there? The new folder that you add must be in the same folder with this index.html file original in order so that it can be served at the URL www.mysite.com/newfolder.

Of course, this happens before you download on the pages... (I need to make many different pages of the model, but is unable to continue because of that...)

  Hello mick99, you can disable the feature of geo-location in general: enter Subject: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears), search for the preference named geo.enabled and double click on & change its value to false.

  I work with APEX 4.1 in Amazon RDS, an upgrade is not possible.

  The problem is that if I click on a link in my report and pass the description field to the next page in a section of the text, if there are two points in the data, any data that was in the description after the colon disappear. The research that I did suggest to disable the app escapes in safety, but that seems to work only for version 4.2, the option does not appear in the 4.1.

  Usually, I prefer to use a record id rather spend a bunch of string from one page to another. However, you can try to use a collection to store the values of passage. Once the new page is loaded, you can extract the value from the collection in the element you are interested in.
