Where did you get the RAM and what are the specifications and the brand name?

• Memory specifications for 'late 2009 iMac 27-inch model' of OWC, macsales:

http://eShop.MacSales.com/shop/memory/iMac/DDR3_21.5_27

Two sellers of quality focused on the Mac are OWC, macsales and Crucial.com. You would still be

to identify the model of computer generation exactly & get quality RAM for them to work.

And notice the shape of the keyway of the memory chips that they need to be oriented correctly

in order to fully and properly inserted into the slots. If they are the correct specification for your iMac.

Good luck & happy computing!

  • Pavilion p6 - 2120t: Windows will not start with the new graphics card

Installed a Zotac GT 740 profile down in my desktop PC graphics card HP Pavilion p6 - 2120t and now the PC does not start.

HP Pavilion p6 - 2120t CTO desktop PC

    Configuration:

    4.0 GB RAM
Intel HD Graphics Driver version Family: 8.15.10.2291 dated 27/01/2011
Motherboard: IPISB-CU (Carmel2) (1 open PCI Express 16 expansion slot pins)

    BIOS to Version 7.18

    Running:
    Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit w/service pack 1
Two monitors (VGA, 1 digital port 1)

Before installing the new graphics card, I replaced the power supply original 300w with a 400w power supply.

For starters, I disabled the onboard graphics in Device Manager. Then, I opened the case and installed the GT-740 in the open PCI Express slot. I made sure that the card was fully engaged in the slot.

I plugged both monitors to their connections voted on the new map.

When I tried to boot the PC, the digital monitor displays the screen HP (the one that indicates which key support to achieve the start menu) and then frozen. No other entries of key or mouse have been accepted.

The PC then sounds 4 short beeps (about 10 seconds between each beep) and then a long beep before turning off the signal to the screen.

Then, I removed the new graphics card on the PC that starts then. I have reactivated the original graphics drivers and the PC then worked normally.

Tried the above process two more times with the same results.

I then went into the start menu to look at the BIOS. The menu of the BIOS shows two options:

    > Sources of boot UEFI

    Windows Boot Manager

    > Sources of boot legacy

    ATAP I CD/DVD player

    SATA2

    Hard drive

    SATA0

Network controller (Realtek PXE B06 D00)

PC using UEFI Boot Manager Windows boots normally

I have not tried Legacy Boot Sources because I don't know which one to choose.

I went to the HP site and looked for an update to the newest BIOS, but updating them is a rev version 7.16 while my PC shows my BIOS to version 7.18

I know that others have had a similar problem but I have not seen a solution that works for my PC.

    Any advice would be welcome.
    Thanks for your time.

    Hello

Your PC isn't spec'd to run Windows 7 using the Windows Boot Manager.  I expect to a UEFI-based graphics card likely to work on an HP PC that does not have a BIOS version 8.

The below listed OEM HP, graphics cards should work in your PC using a normal non - UEFI W7 and W8 installation.

-So, if I change my SIM without changing my number and change my apple ID.

-Then I dump imessage on the use of new apple id and the new sim card, but with the same previous number.

Now, if I send imessage on A, a will receives imessage in previous messages page or another page.

Imessages (imessage old and new imessage) will link together or not?

If you disconnected iMessage, jumped into a new SIM card with a different number on this subject and enabled new iMessage [ID Apple not held] with this new number, a different conversation thread would start to Messaging. They will not bind together.

  • HP 2000-2b19WM Notebook PC: Bios of HP 2000-2b19WM without mapping new ram

Hi guys Im new to the forum and looked for help on my problem, but came away empty-handed. Im hoping some of you experts can help. The problem im having is bios for my new ram card. When I get to the main Bios screen, most of the options are grayed out. Should I just try a 8gig vs 2 x 4?

So what to do im (or trying to) is a simple ram upgrade. Here's the skinny:

    Windows 8-64-bit OS (official)
Ranging from 4 GB to 8 GB ram
    New bios update
    Msconfig memory max decliques
BIOS will not remap or give me the option to remap
Location of the bottom only (see) memory
Tried the chips on the location of the bottom, both work individually but if I sit two I get a blank screen and W8 does not load.

Only one user (me) as an administrator.

Here is the ram I bought from newegg

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16820231472

    Thanks in advance!

I'm afraid, it seems that you have a bad memory slot that is a bad mother. You did a good job of troubleshooting logically. If either module market in a slot, then it is not compatibility it must be the slot.

  • New RAM for Precision Workstation 670 does not

    I just bought 4 of them: http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/configurator_new/PartsInfo.asp?ktcpartno=KVR667D2D8P5/2G

When I install only the new RAM in the computer, it emits a sound when I insert the power supply cord. If I use 2 original 512 MB sticks into sticks new housing 1 and 2 and 2 in slots 3 and 4, the BIOS indicates only 1 GB is installed and the new sticks are not ECC.

As far as I know, the new RAM I bought has the same specifications as http://shop.crucial.com/1/4/43005-dell-precision-workstation-670-workstation-memory-module.html. I buy the wrong type of RAM? Can I do the computer works with the new RAM (maybe not using ECC)?

  • New RAM not working not not on iMac 2010

    Hello

I have a 21.5 ' mid year 2010 i3 iMac, and, after all this time, it was time to upgrade the RAM.

I bought 2 x 4 GB Patriot SODIMM PC3 - 10600 1333 MHz 204-pin, by following the instructions in the Web page of Apple memory upgrade (install memory in an iMac - Apple Support).: 4 GB RAM SO-DIMM memory DDR3 SDRAM 1333 MHz. I installed it according to job with factory 2x2gb RAM Samsung sticks. After a reboot, everything worked beautifully for about 6 minutes. The identified computer sticks again and showed me a full 12 GB available. Which was great, since Yosemite + a few browser windows and Spotify only lasts up to 3GB. I have enough to spare. However, it restarted and again and again and again.

I decided to test only the new RAM and started with the combination of Patriot 8 GB. It froze on reboot and fully started once, but it restarted less than 2 minutes later.

Result: now I'm back to the original combination of 2x2gb. Always deal with the lack of memory and without understanding what's wrong with the new RAM I bought at Fry's. What about compatibility? Is there an another specification? Of course, I know, there may be a malfunction of hardware, but I would like to address this issue before making another run to the store and risking another model or brand.

For reference: I've tried it before, but because of the lack of information from the seller, I was conquered by a stick of RAM 1x8GB, which is not supported by my model. So I replaced it with the 2 in question.

    Thanks for any help.

It is generally recommended to stick with quality RAM to buy from a seller that tests and ensures their RAM to work with Macs - the two most recommended are OWC (macsales.com) and Crucial. They both offer helps you determine which RAM you need and offer the lifetime warranty.

    http://eShop.MacSales.com/shop/memory/iMac/2010/DDR3_21.5_27

That should be your - sure.

I'll be back on the RAM for a refund.

  • Portege R700-19 t - new RAM-> start is no longer

    Hello together,

so I bought two new RAM sticks for my old laptop
    Toshiba Portege R700-19 t

But since I installed them, the machine does not start in an operating system more.
The installed Windows 7 64 bit goes to a black screen before the windows at Startup logo (even in safe mode). And after a few seconds, the fans will quickly but nothing seems to happen.

The next thing I tried was a (12.04) ubuntu live dvd. But it does not either. No error message or anything, just an automatic restart after a few seconds of black screen.

    The next thing was memtest86 + v4.20:
It crashes immediately sometimes a black screen and sometimes at this http://i.imgur.com/eJqIyDp.jpg .
I tested my new two sticks together and alone, still the same problem. The old ones that work perfectly and not crash of memtest.

In the BIOS is the only thing on the memory and then it sees the correct "Total memory size 8192 MB.

    Plug portable-mem from toshiba:

    • Standard: 4 (2 + 2) GB
    • Max Speicherausstattung: 8 GB
    • Technology: DDR3 RAM (1,066 MHz)

link to the Toshiba product description: http://www.toshiba.de/discontinued-p...tege-r700-19t/

    Cannes-old (work) ram:
    2 x Samsung 2 GB 1Rx8 PC3 - 10600S - 09 - 10 - ZZZ M471B5773CHS - CH9

    new RAM sticks:
    2 x G.Skill 4 GB DDR3-1333 (PC3-10600)
link to the shop where I bought it: https://www.alternate.de/G-Skill/SO-...roduct/1154622

In my understanding of both new sticks should work well with my laptop, or am I missing something?

    concerning

For me, the question is clear enough; the laptop does not start because of new RAM modules.

The new RAM modules are not totally compatible, or the RAM modules are defective.

I recommend you test an other modules; for example modules manufactured by Kingston.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook PC G6 - continually turns on and off after that new ram is inserted repeatedly

I just installed another 4 GB of ram, making it 8 GB. It works fine the first time, he started with the new ram, but when it goes off with the new ram installed for at least 30 minutes, simply refuses the RAM and just turns on and turns off continuously. I have to get out the new ram and turn on the computer to make it work again. Once he had a start of full without the new ram I can insert the new ram once again, but this problem is.

  • Can I update or add a new graphics card on hp dv6 7229nr envy?

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03509222

    Hello

Basically, you can, with a cost, and I think that this cost can be more expensive than buying a new computer because you have to take into account:

    • New price of the card, and WHERE you can buy it because the laptop cards are not the same office maps. You can't buy any normal store,
    • Need new card system because the existing card is soldered to the motherboard,
    • Need new system of cooling because in general more powerful card pumps out more heat (you want more powerful card don't you?).
    • May need new power supply because your current diet is not suitbale for the card. (I ordered a machine with the Nvidia card and I need to order a 90W charger at the same time, not the normal charger 65W. They rejected just my order.)
    • Cost of the work.
    • Packages a lot, a lot of aspirin.

My suggestion: buy a new machine.

    I hope this helps.

  • Need a new video card

You want to buy a new video card to get the benefits with the Mercury engine.

But several of the video cards geforce in the supported list is no longer available:

    http://www.Adobe.com/products/premiere/mercury-playback-engine.html

None of the more recent Geforce cards work?

Don't use nVidia Driver 306.97 http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1084197 with at least "a few" old maps
