New symptom: newly created empty folder 'C:\history' after the startup of Windows 7.

Lately, I find that an unwanted newly created empty folder "C:\history" after start up Windows 7 Ultimate on my computer.  Is this a symptom of a new invader?  I have no problem remove immediately after the start when checking my file to the root of the C drive.

You can create a file named C:\History which would prevent the mystery application creates a folder with the same name and hopefully generate an error message.

This command creates the file when it is run in a command prompt :

CD 2 > c:\History

Now, I'm happy! Thank you very much.

New tab works now. It is because of me running the first program malware that you listed above, Malwarebytes. I am grateful that you suggested it because I would not have thought that that would be the problem (because the problem occurred immediately after a MS Windows7 update.

  • I just upgraded to FF 3 FF9 and in the process lost my 'New tab' button, and there isn't one in the view > customization window. So, how manually open a new tab in FF9?

    Question
I just upgraded to FF 3 FF9 and in the process lost my 'New tab' button, and there isn't one in the view > customization window. So, how manually open a new tab in FF9?

To open the window to customize the toolbar, do one of the following:

    • Firefox button > Options > toolbars
    • Press ALT or F10 to temporarily show the Menu bar and choose from there (view > toolbars > customize)
    • Hold DOWN the ALT key while pressing the VTC keyboard letters

    See-> https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/common-questions-after-upgrading-firefox-36

Regarding the new button tab, you see the end a '+' after the last tab or the right of the tab bar? This is the icon of the new tab.

    • CTRL + T will open a new tab

  • Creating a folder only runs in the hosts and Clusters discovered

    Greetings,

I am creating folders [as I did through the heavy client] under the computers view virtual and models > Datacenter 'x' and [these are blue records] with VM.

Yet, when to use the PowerCLi command: Get-Datacenter "x" | New-file - name 'test' [these are yellow]

ONLY, it will create the folder under the view hosts and Clusters $toplevel.

What command (if possible) would allow me to create folders in the same data center, yet computers VIEW virtual and models. ??

I can explain it if necessary.

But you must use the hidden folder called "vm" (as in my code).

Then your new blue folder will be created directly under the data center.

The code you have found does exactly the same thing (that vmfolder is actually the "vm" hidden folder I mentioned), but it's a long journey of following pointers

  • My program folder can be reused after the upgrade to Windows 7 32-bit to Windows 7 64 bit?

Upgrade to Win 7 32 bit to 64 bit

I'm about to upgrade my PC 32 bit to Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit.  I wonder if the program data folder can be reused with the 64-bit version?  If so, it would save a lot of time.  Also should I re - activate the copy and should I do before relocation to prevent Microsoft telling me that I have a pirated copy!

I can assume that the restoration of Win 7 would not achieve what he would actually have to go back in time 32-bit!  Or not?

All the advice of those who did this would be welcome.

(PC is 64-bit capable and I will have saved all the data as usual files to an external source).

    Thanks in advance.

No, you will need to reinstall all your applications and install native 64-bit drivers for your hardware.

Make sure that you back up your 32-bit installation before upgrading:

    http://www.notebooks.com/2009/10/24/how-to-backup-your-installation-of-Windows-7/

You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

    64 bit 32 vs

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/32-bit-and-64-bit-Windows-frequently-asked-questions

My PC running the 32-bit version or 64-bit Windows?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/find-out-32-or-64-bit

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/installing-and-reinstalling-Windows-7

Windows 7 64 bit comes in handy when you need to deal with at least 4 GB of RAM or more. Windows 7 32 bit can use up to 3.2 GB of RAM. Because the address space of memory is much larger for 64-bit Windows, this means that you need two times more memory than the 32-bit Windows to accomplish some of the same task, but you are able to do much more, you can have more apps open, do things like run a virus scan in the background it will affect the performance of your system. 64-bit Windows 7 is safer too, malicious code cannot easily infiltrate it, drivers are more reliable because they must be signed before it can work with 64 bit Windows 7.

Regarding compatibility, you need device drivers 64-bit hardware devices, you may have. In addition, there is no 16-bit subsystem in Windows 7 64-bit, which means, your applications must be 32-bit only, not 16-bit Installer or programs uninstaller.

  • After the upgrade to windows 8.1 says file history offline reader

My windows 8 upgraded to 8.1 en from there it says that I need to reconnect my drive as I've changed nothing except to do a disk clean up nothing changed. 24 of Firefox does not connect to internet

I also got the notice that the history file drive has been disconnected. I saved files from my laptop on an external hard drive (passport) and because the cell phone was also necessary for ten days, the files were not registered and historical files offline. I have do it I have turned off before disconnecting the external drive. I accidentally solved the problem in this way: I unplugged the hard drive, off file history, reconnect the hard drive where it was (on a hub port), the race clicked for the history of the files. He told me to choose a reader and I chose the Passport, the reader, he had said repeatedly he could not recognize. Then he asked me if I wanted to transfer files that were saved in the meantime on the Passport. Before, I said yes (it seemed logical), and always leading to the history of the files being disconnected. This time, I said, no, and the history of the files went on without any problems, I can say.

I hope this helps someone else.

  • Restore windows 7 using the windows.old folder after the installation of windows 8?

    Hi all

After you have installed windows 8 on a pc comes with windows 7, I learned just learned that I don't have a product key valid win8 because I already used once for an installation of win8 on another pc. Now, I need to go back to win7 because I don't plan on buying another product key.
I know that I can do this with the option to restore from the manufacturer, but it will be a hassle to get back to the top/reinstall all my applications and data.
Is it possible to go on win7 by using the windows.old folder?

    Hello

Whether you are planning to install Windows 7 on the computer that has Windows 8, we can only perform a custom installation.

If you are using an OEM computer, see the link:

    Understanding downgrade rights

If you do not use an OEM computer, you may need to try the following steps to perform a custom installation when you have lost the applications and settings, however the data stored on the C drive will be saved to the Windows.old folder.

For the steps to detalied on how to spend to try solutions by André from the link:

Can I downgrade to Windows 7?

Note: Make sure that you back up important data before performing a custom installation.

Come back if you have any questions with windows and we will be happy to help.

  • How can I get rid of the default box on a newly created empty pdf? Has anyone not seen this? It gets in the way!

A previously requested but so far no response which surprised me because there must be something others have encountered - it's so obvious and 'in your face': is it possible to remove the box by a blue line that is default and centered on the page A4 everytime I create a blank pdf to add fields to- or indeed to convert an existing pdf. It will not allow me to remove it, is not a text box and just gets selected every time that I try to pick anything close to her!

Thank you in advance to anyone who can answer this crazy problem.

Well, you selected the append text tool... What happens if you then

Switch to the hand tool? In my view, that it will not disappear simply.
