  Using vSphere SDK Web services, is it possible to get the domain name FULL of the vCenter server that I have connected to? For example, foo - test.domain.com is the name of a field FULL of my RESUME, but I can connect to the Victoria Cross with SDK giving the name as foo-test. Once connected, is their any property by which I can get the FQDN of my CV, IE like foo - test.domain.com.

  (1) this property reflects maybe just how the guestOS has been set up if she had the FULL domain name or not, I'm not 100% sure but I always put my host names a FQDN. You can watch the underlying guestOS to see how it is set up compared to others which show the COMPLETE domain name

  (2) your original question was on vCenter FQDN, this property as mentioned is only for vCEnter and not for ESX (i). If you need to search for this information, you must watch the HostSystem that represents your ESX or ESXi host. You'll want to take a look at the HostDnsConfig property to find the short hostname under the host name and the domain under the domain name and that will provide COMPLETE domain name.

  I think the best way to interrogate this information actually uses your DNS infrastructure, it is what it is. Looks like not all your environments are configured using domain name FULL which in my books, is not a best practice. If this is the case, what data are only as good as the original configuration in order to make virtual infrastructure out of the image and simply use DNS to query for it. It is trivial to extract the IP addresses of your vCenter and the host ESX (i), so you can use it as a base to make your look up.

• Incompatibility of the thumbprint SSL in Remote Console on the new ESXI5.1 server with the same name as the old

  I use the vSphere Client Desktop for remote access to a VMware host if SSH tunneling. Basically, I aim at the customer 'localhost' and it is redirected via the SSH tunnel on the server at the other end.   I usually always could access the things just fine, but recently, I replaced the remote server with a new one.  Off the old, I changed my SSH tunnel to point to the new server.  The client is connected correctly, and I can see the virtual machine and work very well with the host country.  However, if I try to open a remote console, I get an error saying "failed to check SSL for 'mylocalmachinename.domain.com' due to incompatibility of fingerprint digital host: stored fingerprint '< checked again footprint esxi host >' does not imprint of cert" < imprint of mystery which does not correspond to a new host * or * former > ' I still find from this certificate thumprint!  I can get remote consoles on those virtual machines to machines that are the on the host, but not this remote workstation.  This * feels * like a sort of updated certificate cached somewhere, but I can't find of it empty.  I checked the registry and the thumbprint for the remote server is correct.  The part of remote console of the vsphere client there is thumprint own cache somewhere?

  MEH.  Response proved to be something completely independent and stupid.  There is a process running in my system that was also listening on port 443.  Why it intervened with the virtual console only and not the main customer I have no idea, but stopping did the trick.  It was another application I had installed some time ago and off it, I realized that I don't think that I actually * tried * run a console on the old vmware remote host because I installed this application.  It has probably been broken for a while now and I barely noticed.    So... Yes... too bad.

• Domain name of ISE, certificates and portal comments

  We have a deployment ISE using our internal domain for its FULL domain name (example: ise01.private.local). Now, we want to use for authentication of access as a guest and have noticed that the default redirect URL uses the FULL of the ISE Server domain name.

  It works very well for our business machines that we have our own generated certificates and internal certification authority. As we don't want a certificate, that the errors that occur for our clients, we need to use a public domain FULL name.

  Are we better off by changing the domain name used by the servers of the ISE, or is it possible to change the redirect URL to use a custom domain?

  I've heard suggestions that change the domain name is not supported, but I can't find another way.

  Mark,

  You already have a public domain FULL name pointing to your ISE?  If so, let's assume that you authenticate you if you use a CWA.  First creat a new profile authorization, under common tasks, select redirect Web (CWA, DRW, MDM, DK, RPC), choose the authentication method (in this case, CWA) and set the ACL to use.  Just below, select the name of the static host/IP and enter the COMPLETE public domain name that points to your ISE.

  

  From there, you can create a permission policy to reference the profile that you just created.

  I work in a college and normally I just drag and drop my files in the folder on the web server. However, this isn't really an option with Muse if you want to push a button to transfer revisions. Thus, people computer here set up so that I can ftp the files to our area.  I could not test it because the site is being used so often - it is toward the low an old, a new place right away.  I'm really scared that there some small point that I must specify in advance I'll miss and all the links do not work...  Someone at - it measures/suggestions what do I take?

  If you already have a site paid in British Colombia (or a free site of BC disable your subscription cloud creative), then you can simply add the domain name to your site BC administrator while showing us the field. • Cannot 'Sign in Windows Live' in WHS2011 to set up a domain name

  I'm putting in place on WHS2011 remote Web access. Router is configured correctly, but when I go to set up a custom Microsoft domain name using my outlook.com account, I get an error that says "the user name or password is incorrect. Retype your user name and password'. I KNOW I'm entering the correct name and password. Why is everything happening? How should I do?

  I'm looking to automate the deployment of virtual machines under vSphere 4 Update 1 via the SOAP using PHP service.  When I ask the vimService.wsdl file, I see the following XML:

  Why is the referenced host here 'localhost '?  Should not the XML continue my code of points my vCenter Server's FULL domain name?  It's throwing me for a loop, because when I try for any transaction on the service established by PHP SoapClient instance, my code expires because it tries to connect to localhost instead of the actual address of my Server vCenter.

  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Even more useful would be a code example using PHP 5.3 SoapClient class (as opposed to nusoap, that I've seen it used, because it is not fully functional under PHP 5.3).  Thank you!

  Troubleshooting Internet connectivity

  1 answer to the first and second troubleshooting Questions:

  First Question of troubleshooting: If the problem is new, what has changed between the time things worked and the time they do not have?

  The second issue of Windows troubleshooting: what is the status of virus/malware of the machine? If you think it's clean, what programs (and versions) allows you to determine this?

  Many variants of malware will allow a proxy server if you are unable to Internet. Go to control panel > Internet Options > connectivity tab > LAN button. If all is selected in the section Server Proxy, uncheck the box, apply/OK outside.

  2. If nothing has changed and that the computer is clean, what antivirus/security programs are you running? Have AVG 8 or Zone Alarm? These two programs have had updates that caused Internet connectivity problems. I don't recommend either of these programs, but if you want to keep check them on the mftrs.' support websites.

  3. If #2 is not applicable:

  a. unplug the router.
  b. disconnect the modem. (If you have a DOCSIS 3 modem with battery backup, press the Reset button to reset the modem so the lights go out).
  c. wait 60 seconds.
  d. plug the modem (or wait until the reboot is completed) and expect that all the lights are on.
  e. plug the router and wait until all lights are on.

  You now have an Internet connection? Otherwise:

  4. connect your computer directly to the cable/DSL modem. You now have an Internet connection? If so, there is a problem with the router. They do not last forever. Replace it.

  If there is no Internet when your computer is connected directly to the cable/DSL modem, call your ISP because something is wrong with the cable/DSL modem or your Internet service.

  All new computer running windows 7 64 bit, outlook and office 2007 installed, initial problems with the temporary user profiles, follow up advice and removed user profiles in the system registry and all seemed to go well. Computer works for about a week with two user profiles and now all of a sudden I get an error message when I start Outlook and from time to time when you browse the internet, it reads:

  Problem is I don't know what the certificate is, what I need, to find out how locate, how to move etc, I have read a few forums, but they are starting to be too technical. I need help for step by step easy.

  I tried to uninstall outlook 2007 and reloading and clearing of the States of ssl in internet options, and then reset by default (as someone suggested), but it made no difference.

  Problem is when you leave the store with the new computer, nobody wants to know you if you need assistance!

  It appears when you rename your Web site pages, a 301 redirect will redirect you to the new pages without losing your ranking in the SERPS. However, a new website registered under a new domain name with more or less the same content creates new challenges. Is this enough to redirect old domain names to the new using the C Panel (and exactly, what happens when you do this?) or is there another solution? Until I found one, I am invisible to search engines...

  By default, Joomla index.php is only in this way if you have no mod rewrite enabled in configuration which means that you are on a windows server is not available.  If so, you will need to make the IIS changes which looks like you didn't.

  Sh404SEF is only $40 and I don't like the ".html" at the end of the file.  I would like to remove from their rewriting. I provide a name for the password policy and use the simple field of policy, I created in the 'domain password policy", as well as some fundamental values.
