Once it is open, then my shortcuts all work. What? I must say that I have others linking to Google Chrome desktop shortcuts, and they all work very well. What is the problem with Firefox that I now already have it open to allow my shortcuts to open? It is so annoying not being able to just to open things directly from the desktop.   Just checked the other shortcuts and they have now all seems to be a new behavior - I guess I had a fleeting event on my hands!

• Multiple tabs open when I clik a link to a new tab. Then, do not open or even appear when I try to close with "close all tabs"... they are like "ghost tabs.

  It spent last few days... the tabs are displayed on the tab bar, but do not open upward or close when I try to close... when I tried "close all tabs", who says so "you try to close the 2 tabs", they are not counted as being open... the only way I can get rid of them is Firefox is completely closed and then it starts again. Ghost tabs!

  I solved the problem, but not using the "safe mode".
  After going into safe mode and close and open FF again;
  I then had to dl the latest version of FFox... 33.0 (I had 32.0) online, a friend told me there was an update for it... found 33.0.1.i and dl who had, then restarted my computer.
  I found that the new version had removed many of my fave on my 'personal bar '... icons I have them back by going to this:

  I didn't add "colorful tabs" again...

  In addition, an easy solution... my mousepad has been 'sticky'... by removing just, my mouse works much better on my desk...

  Do a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.

  Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.

  If possible to uninstall your current version of Firefox to clean the Windows registry and settings in the security software.

  Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

  Click on "programs and features" in your control panel. You will see your old version of 3.6 it and NOT version 4.

  Uninstall the version 3.6 DO NOT click the check box to delete your stuff.

  Until recently, I have read all my books, I got in iBooks on my iMac.  But now when I try an open a book older, I bought with my OLD Apple (I discovered that now it no longer exists, because Apple doesn't like people with more of an Apple ID. ID.  I had to change because it used my old e-mail DEAD, so I changed it to my current email address).  Everything was fine until recently.  Now, for some reason stupid iBooks requires Apple ID check on purchases of old that used my OLD Apple ID, before I open it upwards.  The file is not one of them on iCloud is on my computer, but it will not open. I have about 20 books purchased with my Apple ID OLD.  When I try to connect my OLD Apple ID, I get a message to Apple that it no longer exists.  That's why I'm in a "Catch 22": I can't open any OLD books in iBooks, because he needs to check my OLD Apple ID, but now, there is no and I can't do another Apple with the same name ID, since I already have one, and I can't delete my current Apple ID because that would really open up a "Pandora's box".  Help!  IS THERE A WAY TO WORK AROUND THIS STUPID PROBLEM!

  Until very recently, when I want to download a pdf file, it will open automatically, and recently, for some reason, it stopped automatically opening and just downloaded on my desktop where I wanted.
